The journey through the tunnel was quite a long one...

Sometimes, me and Xiayen had to drop down towards another tunnel, go to the left or to the right due to the tunnel not being a straight path, and we even had to climb our way up towards a new tunnel entrance. The worse places of them all, were the slides that led downwards, because they dirtied our clothes. Other than that reason, there was no way for us other than to slide downwards, as the ground was full of gravel, and because the way downwards was quite steep.

If I think about it, there really is no way for us to go back, other than for us to continue forwards… After all, where the slides are, and the area where we had to jump towards the water, it'll be impossible for us to get through unless we were able to fly.

'What is this sect even…' I wondered on my way through the long tunnel system.

...

At last, after a long while, I saw something different than a tunnel in the end of the tunnel way that I was in. The different place was another cave, but one that was many times larger than the one before.

The cave was as big as a football stadium, or maybe a bit smaller. I mean, how am I supposed to tell? I can only guess, okay!

Cough Cough…

Because of the cave's large size, the symbols that acted as light, were not enough to light up the entire place. As a result of the lack of lighting, a bunch of Chaos flowers grew on a few areas within the cave. At least, that was Xiayen's explanation after I had asked her for the reason as to why there were multiple vegetation in such a dim lighted cave. Truly, it seems that my choice of having Xiayen as my companion and guide, wasn't wrong…

*Rumble* *Rumble*

What a coincidence! Just when I was happy and go-lucky, some damn disturbance had to make its appearance!

So, what happened was that the ground began to tremble, and that all of the vegetation went into hiding. Well, I'm not sure if they really went into hiding of course. They just shrunk back to the ground as if they were never born, I guess… That's the only explanation I can give, other than them going into hiding. Perhaps, they even un-alived themselves. Who knows…

Well… It's one of those two last ones I'm guessing. Why? Well, you see… After the disappearance of the vegetation, a new vegetation decided to show itself. So, technically, the disappearance of the small flowers must have been because of that new vegetation either having eaten them or having scared them to their death.

Anyway… That new vegetation was a giant. A gigantic fly trap that was actually able to move as a living creature. Thankfully, it could only wiggle and move its head around within a radius. Because if it wasn't rooted to the ground, and could actually walk, I would have probably died from fear.

Not gonna lie, but that thing was too terrifying for me to see right in front of my eyes. It was a nightmarish figure that was six times taller than I was, and three times wider. That wasn't the scary part though. What was scary to me was the details of its body. The green muscles that twitched and swirled every its entire body moved, the petals on its bottom that were moving rhythmically as if it was breathing, and the worse of them all, its teeth that looked similar to the teeth of a shark and a stack of needles.

Other than those, there was also a disgusting looking tongue inside its mouth, which was able to stretch and move quite frantically, as if it was a tentacle.

I'm seriously getting the goosebumps just by thinking about its features… Still, if I'm being honest, it wasn't that scary, and it was something more of a creepy and disgusting type of feeling that it was giving off to me.

"Get back! I can handle this!" While I was still in my thoughts, Xiayen yelled out loud to tell me that she was able to deal with the troublesome situation.

"You sure?!" I doubted her words. "Last time I remember, you were in deep trouble while fighting a dead branch!" The gigantic fly trap flower was being too loud, hence why we both yelled at each other to have a simple conversation.

"That was a trap! I wasn't prepared for it, and got critically injured the moment I fell for it!"

"I understand! Falling for traps can sometimes be unprepared, and can also do a lot of damage to you!" I joked. Clearly, we were not talking about the same kind of traps.

What? It's okay for me to make jokes, since I'm not the one who will be going against that monster anyway. Joking around helps me with my anxiety, you know…

Well, anyway… With my words sounding quite normal and weird at the same time, Xiayen only gave me a short look of suspicion instead of confusion, before she went and turned her head away from me, to look at the towering monster of a flower.

There was no need for me to worry since Xiayen told me that she could handle it, so, all there was for me to do, was to sit in a faraway location, and to spectate the fight.

"I wonder what kind of magical technique she'll be using…" I muttered as I stared at the figure of Xiayen frantically flailing her arms.
