Chapter 31 Majesty Of The Queen
At a time before the god queen called Blue Waver.
Phoenix had just reached the edge of the palace with Damien in tow.
The back of the palace was identical to the front except that after the stairs, it didn't lead to the gate but a mansion.
It had two floors and it was in the same golden color as the entire platform.
Damien was blown away by the fact this mansion had greenery surrounding it.
"Why is it the only place with plants?" He asked after collecting himself.
Phoenix, standing side by side with him was searching for any traces of genuine excitement on his face when the question caught her off guard.
She hurriedly turned her head to the side to hide her blushing face.
"This used to be the living quarters of the god emperor. The plants here, were created by god kings/queens at the minimum, so they are valuable. Any one of them would be treasures in the outside world and some might even be beneficial to certain divinities." She explained.
"Though, you should be happy that you are going to live near me." She added.
"You are the one who said that you will make me fall in love with you, so it should be the other way around." He countered as his piercing gaze made her shrink her neck in shame upon remembering that bold statement.
"Let..."
"Phoenix!"
A voice called out as she was going to suggest continuing towards the building.
They both turned around to see Dark standing there.
Her face was fuming.
"What happened Dark?" Phoenix asked with a little concern in her voice.
"That guy from the Waver clan tried to turn Itetia into a puppet. Well not entirely, but basically close." She answered.
Her eyes avoided looking at Damien.
"Oh! It seems someone became bold." Phoenix's eyes narrowed.

Currently Phoenix was back atop her throne while all the people currently on the artifact were gathered beneath it, Silver and Gigan included.
She had just finished listening to an account of the events.
"So, what are your thoughts Damien?" She posed a question to him first.
"Why me?" He asked
"Itetia is one of your workers, isn't she?"
Damien felt an oncoming headache. He had wanted to avoid a troublesome and boring situation.
A glimmer of dissatisfaction passed through Gigan and Silver's eyes.
"First, am not interested in this boring situation.
Second, the only punishment is death. What other thoughts would you possibly have?" He asked with a dull voice.
"I agree!" Dark was the one who supported the idea with such strong zeal.
Itetia and Lino both nodded in agreement.
"Let's not be hasty!" Suggested Gigan.
"Why?" The god queen asked.
"He comes from a major clan, so we should ask for compensation." He suggested. He wasn't trying to save Blue. He didn't want hostilities to develop between the god queen and the clan leader of the Waver clan.
"His crime does deserve death." Phoenix concurred with Dark.
"What about we invite the clan leader of the Waver clan?" Silver suggested. She just didn't want the god queen to undermine their deeply rooted clans.
"Oh! Silver, it seems you are speaking not as my secretary, but as a representative of the clans?"
The god queen's gaze descended upon her.
"Am suggesting as your secretary." She answered without even flinching.
A glimmer of interest flashed through Damien's eyes.
Lino and Phoenix caught it.
'Is he interested in her thoughts?' Phoenix wondered.
"Silver, I must say, I want to crack open your head and read your thoughts." She said.
All the people were taken aback.
Damien looked at her and she stealthily winked.
She had managed to read his thoughts.
Lino caught the minute exchange and gloomily sighed.
'It seems she is more suited for him.'
"Your majesty!! That's..." Silver lost the words to say.
Gigan, was another one of the people who noticed the exchange between Phoenix and Damien.
Gigan liked observing people. It was his talent and he used it to his advantage.
'It seems the entanglements in this place will be interesting. I must move in the moment the property opens to the public.' He thought.
His heart, beat in excitement at the thought of observing the interactions between these people and scheming against them.
It was at this moment that a blue streak appeared in the middle of them.
They had been standing in two columns, leaving the middle empty.
Blue Waver fell down onto his knees the moment he arrived.
"Please forgive me, god queen!!!" He begged.
"What is the crime you are asking me to forgive?" She asked.
"For trying to control your worker."
"Is that the only crime?" She asked as she stood up and started walking down the stairs.
Her momentum built up with every step she took down the stairs.
Golden flames flared on her body, heart beats of the bystanders synchronized with her steps.
Damien's heart, like the others followed her steps.
Phoenix truly looked like an empress as she descended the stairs.
Damien was mesmerised by her form, the golden eyes which were menacingly glaring at Blue, the golden flames complementing her gown and the feathers flying around her.
Everything around her harmonized to create a dramatic atmosphere.
All were speechless beneath her imperious gaze until she reached just one step shy of the ground.
The pressure Blue had been enduring increased.
First, his arms broke at the elbow and so too did his knee caps.
Then his blood escaped from his body which enlarged and regained its form.
It looked like a shark of 100 meters in length. It had blue crystalline skin. It seemed as if it didn't even manage to touch any of the others as the space around it was warped.
Screams escaped from Blue's mouth as his bones and organs turned to mush.
Phoenix didn't even bat an eyelid and continued to increase the pressure.
His body turned to liquid then gas and then to elemental strings which further broke down into elemental particles.
All that happened in the fraction of a second and the pressure stopped any of it from leaving the ground level and splattering towards the watching crowd.
The pressure dissipated only at the elemental particle stage and they spread around since they were so dense.
No one tried to absorb them and were instead attracted to the golden figure who had caused it. The dense elemental particles seemed as of they wanted to dance around her as they shrouded her figure.
Some had looks of terror, others of excitement and some were just mesmerised.
The current Damien was mesmerised. He didn't notice it but his heart had sped up a little.
"Browny, you may go back and give them my warning. Everyone related to me must not be humiliated." Her golden black slitted pupils stared at Gigan who was paralysed with terror.
Even Silver lacked any words to say. She had them but she couldn't voice them as currently the event which had happened coupled with Phoenix's momentum had silenced her.
Phoenix turned around and went back to the top.
"Now, Silver, write invitations. The opening ceremony of this place will take place at the start of the next sun cycle. Invite everyone who can be invited, I will send the rest to the others." She ordered.
Itetia's eyes were shining as she looked at the god queen. Her terror had vanished.
Dark was also moved by the god queen.
'This is going to bring problems.' Gigan thought to himself.
He was fighting back the shaking in his legs to prevent himself from embarrassment.
'This is the third time I was moved. Is the excitement I have been waiting for, her?' Damien asked himself as he stared at the glorious figure on the throne.
'He must have been mesmerised.' Phoenix thought as she sat upon her throne. She had been observing Damien even when she was taking care of Blue Waver.
He was unimportant to her. Her goal was to charm Damien.

Gigan's legs finally begun shaking when he walked out of the palace.
'Don't fail me now! Legs!' He shouted in his mind.
'That woman is a demoness. Negotiating with her is pointless. Everything that monster does is at her whims, too unpredictable. I should go back and warn the clan members not to offend anyone from the Phoenix palace.' He thought as he hurried towards the teleportation platform.
Thoughts of saying good bye to Dark failed to cross his mind as he just wanted to run away back to the comfort of his clan.
All the others exited the palace while Damien once again took the trip to the mansion with Phoenix.
This time, he was lost in his thoughts and didn't even notice that phoenix was walking backwards in front of him while staring at his face.
"The god queen was too cool!" Itetia gushed the moment the three women arrived back into Dark's residence.
Silver had gone off to complete the god queen's assignments.
"Yes, she was." Even Lino had to concur.
"Only such a woman can arouse excitement in Damien." She continued.
A frown appeared on Dark's face as she heard that.
