After the fight with dad, I decided to relax and hang out with mom and dad for a while before I set. After all, it could be years before I see them again.
" Achilles you have everything you need for traveling?" Mom asked me for what must've been the hundredth time, making sure I wouldn't miss anything I would need for my voyage.
" Don't worry mom, I already packed everything I need," I said pointing to two large bags filled with stuff. It pretty much contained anything and everything I would need for any situation. The two bags contained books ranging from navigation to diseases found in the grandline and how to treat wounds pirates suffer in the high seas.
I also packed in some cookbooks as well. Since I had decided to be the cook of the ship such things were necessities. Mom also made sure I packed in a bunch of first aid kits in the bags as well. Just because I wasn't going to be the doctor of my crew didn't mean that I shouldn't pack such things. And finally, I packed along with some clothing so I wouldn't be wearing the same thing every day as most anime characters seemed to.
Additionally, dad also taught me how to make vivre cards. It wasn't that hard of a process but you did need the person's fingernail for it to happen, so making them right now for my crew would be impossible.
I also have mom and dad's vivre cards in the Captain's quarters on my ship. Since the ship was quite small the Captain's quarters only had a desk and a bed. I kept some important things that I was bringing along with me in the desk. And well, I slept on the bed.
Also, mom gave me an eternal log pose to this island so I can return home anytime without trouble. She brought 3 normal log pose for the first half of the grandline as well. I had all of them on my left wrist similar to how Nami wears hers.
After making sure I didn't miss anything, mom and I went to the kitchen to cook up a feast for lunch.
" Hey mom, where's dad? I haven't seen him for a minute now?" I asked her as we started preparing the food.
" He's upstairs. He said he's going to give you a gift before you sail."
" Oh, do you know what it is?" I asked her since from her tone, it seemed like she knew what it was and didn't like it since her smile disappeared for a few seconds
" If I tell you now, it would ruin the surprise, wouldn't it?" Mom replied back with an amused smile surfacing on her face.
" Fine, I guess I'll just wait then," I huffed as I handed her some vegetables.
" There's nothing else you can do sweetie." Mom giggled, once again succeeding in annoying me.
After what was around 20 minutes later, we finished cooking.
As we started plating the food, dad appeared. The man popped in just to eat without even giving me my gift.
[ After Lunch ]
After we finished eating, we decided it was finally time for me to deport. I put on a black cloak and a combat shirt, and pants along with my trusted gloves that I had since I was a kid.
Due to mom's suggestion, I decided to wear a very thin but strong chest plate that extended to the top of my groin area. On top of that, I put on gray combat boots. After putting on all of my gear I looked combat-ready for any situation. And looked pretty nice if I do say so myself.

Mom and dad accompanied me to the mini port on the island where my ship was at. The ship's size is similar to the Going Merry with a length of 44ft. There are two cannons on the sides of the ship and one giant cannon in front of the ship. The ship's name is the Voyager.

" This is something very special to me. I received this back when I was still a pirate. It was a gift from my best friend, who was also my Captain. Thank of it as a lucky charm to protect you in your journey." Dad said putting a jaded dragon necklace around my neck.
I wanted to ask about my dad's captain as that had me really really curious, but after seeing the mournful expression framing his usually cheerful face, I decided to hold off on it. Besides if it was important, my dad would've told me.
I hugged my parents one last time before getting on the ship and pulling up the anchors. I took one last good look at them as this was my first time knowing I wouldn't be back for years.
" BYE MOM"
" BYE DAD"
I scream out at the top of my lungs. As the ship started sailing further and further away from them, they become smaller and smaller until they were just specs on the horizon.
I decided to sail the ship towards Douglas' island direction at full speed ahead.
