" So this is it?" I asked Gray who standing next to me, with the opposing army slowly starting to surround us.

" Yeah, if we win this then this whole war will be over. By the way Bullet, I forgot to mention this, but if we somehow make it out of this alive, your gonna get promoted."

" You won't have to fight anymore," Gray said to me as soldiers brought me tons of weapons and iron as well.

" Is that so? Well then it looks I have to make sure everyone can survive this battle," I replied as I felt a sudden burst of energy refuel me for this final fight. I didn't know whether it was from that news that I will be promoted or that I don't have to kill anymore.

" Should you not be giving some kind of speech to motivate us?" I asked him touching the materials in front of me turning them into purple crystals which slowly started to merge them.

" Heh, there's no need for such a thing. They have already been prepared for death." Gray said in a somewhat strange manner, but I didn't too think too much of it as a gray armored covered me completely.

" Alright, boys let's do this!" Gray screamed overtop the noise of his shooting, with his two double pistols. Whilst I jumped up in the air and landed in the middle of the battlefield. Giant cracks formed below me where I landed. Dust and wind swirled around before dispersing.

" That's Douglas Bullet!"

" Kill him"

" Open fire"

That was all that could be heard on that battlefield as every single weapon that the opposing army possessed which ranged from machine guns, cannons, and bombs were all fired at me. But this was part of my plan since this way, I had all the attention. Leaving Gray and everyone else with a chance to turn the tide of the battle.

Two large machine guns popped out from my back along with two machines guns from the top of my hands. I also made a large shield cover me leaving open space for me to fire.

* Immense Fire *

I started blasting as the large bullets shredded everything in their path. Although my shield was taking a large amount of damage as parts of it were chipping away. I received some directs but my armor was mostly protected. But I started bleeding from my stomach where I got hit.

About a couple of minutes, I ran out of materials to forge bullets. But that was alright as I had already taken out around 50 people. My armor that surrounded me was now completely ruined as it took too much damage, protecting me from the constant onslaught of fire that was being reined upon me.

" Guys, protect me for a second," I yelled out for help trying to merge whatever was in front of me. 10 Galzburg soldiers immediately surrounded me protecting me with their lives. As for the rest, they were fighting with the opposing forces. Although to me for some reason it looked like, they weren't going all out.

But at this moment I didn't care as metal plating wrapped my arms and legs tightly giving me increased strength and speed. I decided to sacrifice defense for brute strength as I just wanted to end this battle and be able to rest peacefully for once in my life.

" Come at me, you bastards!" I screamed in rage running towards the enemies. The ground cracked from the power that my legs were generating.

I dodged most of the bombs and cannons shot at me. But I decided to ignore some of the bullets, as they hadn't hit any of my critical organs.

* Iron Fist *

I punched the ground in front of me creating a massive crater along with a shockwave knocking everyone down to the ground. Giving me a little time to take some breath, once I did that I continued my rampage once more.

" And your the last one," I said grabbing the head of that last remaining enemy.

" P-ple-please do-don't kill m-me!" The man stuttered as he begged while crying. I felt bad for him, but this was war and he had just tried to take my own country by force.

" Sorry, about this but for my freedom and peace, you must die," I said to him, before proceeding to change the metals around my arm into a sharp blade, which I then sliced his head off with. I did this to give him a quick and painless death.

Once I killed him, my body dropped to the ground from exhaustion and the injuries I had taken in the battle.

Finally, I rejoiced. The brutal battle was over as both sides suffered greatly from the battle. The enemy camp was all wiped out whilst the Galzburg army suffered as well. With only 20 men surviving out of the 60 that had entered the final battle.

I got back up with great difficulty asking for someone to help me. But no one, which made me confused. I looked around noticing no one was looking at my eyes, and they were all evading my gaze. A strange feeling soon formed within me as I looked towards Gray.

" What's going on?" I asked him but he didn't answer me but instead looked down taking out a brand pistol from his belt. That other guys all did the same taking out their weapons once more. But this time their weapons weren't pointed at an invading army. They were not pointed at a criminal of this country. But they were all directly pointed at a loyal soldier of Galzburg. All of their weapons were now pointed at me.

" What the hell do you bastards think you're doing!" I yelled at them in rage and confusion looking at them for some kind of answer. I could only hope that I had read this situation wrong, for if I hadn't, then I was unsure what I would do.

" Douglas Bullets, you were a good soldier for both me and Galzbrug. But sadly your time has now passed. Your powers have grown far too much, you are now a threat to Galzburg's safety."

" But do rest in peace knowing your achievements and goals have helped us tremendously," Gray said before shooting at my shoulders. I couldn't dodge at all since I was already exhausted, and wounded from the early battles.

" Don't think you can kill me so easily!" I screamed towards Gray in pure anger and bloodlust that scared everyone.

" I wouldn't dare believe so, even if wounded, a monster is still a monster. How annoying." He spoke in a monotonous voice like this was just another day for him. Something that infuriated me beyond belief.

I was someone who became Galzburg's sword and shield. I protected it from all who wished to bring harm upon it, and I cut down any enemy of our country indiscriminately. I became feared across the North Blue as the perfect soldier. I worked relentlessly to better myself for my country.

All of this is just for one goal. To get away from it all. I did not want to be a part of this pain and suffering any longer. I wanted to live out the rest of my days as a simple man, but those… those pieces of shit. They took it all away.

It seemed like they wanted a monster, and I would be sure to give them one. If I survived this day, I would become a beast, an unbeatable beast. Someone whose name echos around the world for one thing, and one thing only. Their strength.

" Open fire" Gray ordered with sweat dropping from his head, as he was truly frightened for that brief moment.

I prepared myself for death as bullets kept hitting me. I knew I couldn't survive so this. So I simply closed my eyes and prepared for death. My dreams were all but forgotten.

" I would appreciate it if you guys didn't kill my first mate." I heard someone say before suddenly a figure appeared in front of me blocking the bullets with their body.

" No way. Is that you Achilles?" I gasped, from pain and happiness. Pain from the bullets, and happy that there was at least one person in the world who could stand up for me.

I asked recognizing that unique color of hair.

" Leave the rest to me, buddy. But in the meantime, you should take a good, long rest." Those were the last words I heard before I passed out. From a combination of pain, trauma, and a small sliver of hope.

Before we leave I've just realized that these last few chapters have been longer than before lol. Heck, this is the new longest chapter I have released, and I believe the previous chapter was the former longest. Seriously 3 back-to-back-to-back chapters that took the crown for the longest chapter in the story. Pretty crazy stuff indeed.
