Chapter 10 - One sided battle

I quickly put the character point in [Dexterity]. More dexterity means easier progress in training the sword.

After doing that, I breathed out a nervous sigh of relief.

Although I felt disgusted with how the sword went though the rabbit's body, I refrained myself from releasing bad things.

A bitter smile appeared on my face.

It looks like I have to train my mind first before going into action-action.

Yep. Let's one shot white rabbits first until I get used to the temporary bloodshed.

*

I took a short rest first, before traveling the road.

After a few minutes of walking around with a sword in hand, I found a pair of sleeping white rabbits.

I approached them slowly, but they didn't respond to my footsteps. The effects of charm is even applicable to those sleeping? Overpowered skill.

Although my hand shook at another factor of guilt, I still swung it down on the two sleeping rabbits.

[Critical hit!]

First is the nearest white rabbit to die, who quickly turned into pixels.

[Critical hit!]

Then the clueless furthermost white rabbit, who didn't even feel notice that it's partner died, turned into pixels.

...

Although the blood on the sword didn't disappear like pixels, I'm satisfied with the censorship that the goddess gave me.

Charm skill is so goddamn overpowered. Even the rabbit didn't even notice it's partner beside it disappeared and just kept sleeping.

This is just concealment on so many levels.

======∆======

I put the character points into dexterity as usual.

Physical attack and defence doesn't matter that much right now. My priority is in other stats.

The priority should be Dexterity > Agility > Physical defence > Physical attack > Magic defence > Magic attack.

Dexterity for training Swordsmanship, and Agility for all around speed in attacking and retreating.

Physical defence adds stamina and regeneration. Meaning higher stamina and shorter rest span.

Physical attack should be self explanatory. More muscle strength means higher force for attacks. Self explanatory yes?

Magic defence is also self explanatory. Although I'm not planning to use magic, I plan to raise my defense against monsters that use magic.

Magic attack is also self explanatory. I'll only raise this stat if I'm in need of it. In the end, I'll never raise this without any reason.

With that explanation out of the way, I started my hunt of white rabbits.

*

I found another one after walking around for just a minute. Rabbits do reproduce fast after all.

It's jumping and running around, but stopped to look when it saw me looking at it.

Charm is still in effect, then that means that I can just farm monsters all I want.

I raised the sword in my hand and slashed it down on the charmed white rabbit.

[Critical hit!]

I dismissed the kill notification logs with a thought. The carcass still went inside my [Item box] as usual.

With that done, I continued my hunting with an additional mark of blood on my sword.

Wait a minute. I stopped in my tracks.

I never knew that I have a hidden passive called charm that disappears after a week the first time I landed here.

Does that mean that when I became complacent and arrogant that the monsters here didn't attack me, I'll die when the skill expires?

Uwah. That's scary. Goddess you're scary.

I'm thankful to you goddess with a smile. But it seems that there's a variable that you didn't actually mention to me uwah.

How troublesome.

*

With hesitation out of the way because of the charm skill. I just ran around the forest hunting for white rabbits.

You would say that I'm in a craze debuff after receiving a shock when I killed life easily.

The debuff is useful for my leveling up grinding though, so I let my mind wander out in first hundred meters.

I don't plan to fight it out with the boars yet, since I don't know what they're going to do if I don't one shot them.

Meaning I'm temporarily changing my focus of stat distribution for a week.

It's all going to physical attack. Just so I could one shot those boars for an easy level up.

Although I'm in a craze debuff (not), I'm still sane in the mind.

[Critical hit!]

Meaning I can still on shot rabbits efficiently.

[Critical hit!]

[Critical hit!]

[Critical hit!]

And level up easily.

======∆======

I have killed more than fifty white rabbits in just one general direction of the forest, and there's still more of them around me.

I immediately put the five character points into physical attack and leaped towards a small group of white rabbits.

After killing the small group, I leveled up again and put the one character point into physical attack.

======∆======

• You've acquired the title [Hunter]

Titles could be activated and deactivated in the titles section of your status window.

• You can now determine the encounter rate of monsters in small sections of the area.

======∆======

Ooh. A title. Neat.

I can instinctively feel where the huge amount of monsters are. This is a huge help for my leveling grind.

The sun is still shining through the leaves. I started hunting for white rabbits earlier after all.

I estimate that the time should be nearing one pm. I still have a few hours 'til sunset.

I also plan to have a five day marathon of grinding monsters after I decided that it's safe at night. That will be later though.

I should concentrate on finding a huge pack of experience points first and wait for the night to come.

*

It's four pm.

I slashed at the white rabbits three times.

[Critical hit!]

[Critical hit!]

[Critical hit!]

With the sight of each white rabbit going inside my [Item box], I ended the hunt.
