Chapter 10 Tricked

"I see you've arrived, Mistress Roselia and Princess Crystal." An old man in red robes greeted us. "Everyone else have arrived and went in already. This way, please."

The old man then turned around and led the way.

After turning two corners and passing through another corridor, the old man led us into a brightly lit circular room with a fairly tall ceiling. When I tried to perceive the artwork etched into the ceiling, I had to tilt my head so high I nearly fell on my bum. Screw fairly, I couldn't even look at the whole artwork without taking ten steps back! Or maybe I'm just short? I'm already 171 cm tall, I could still be growing...I hope.

At the center of the room were my 6 siblings...6? I squinted my eyes and counted again, 'One, two, three...Six! There's only six! Who's the seven?' Then it hit me. Ah, where is my little brother? "Mother, you said Junior Elder Shen and Little brother Starfall will be here...Where is he?" I demanded an answer as I stared at mother in a questioning manner. 'Have I been tricked? I can't believe mother would actually use Starfall's name to trick me!'

But before mother could explain herself, a middle age man with a scruff beard stepped forward to explain in my mother's stead, "Nephew Crystal, please don't be so hard on your mother and instead try to be in her shoes...Your fanaticism towards Junior Elder Shen's son had always been a headache for your parents and all elders here. In fact, Junior Elder Shen was suppose to show up, but his son had run off somewhere and he's still searching for him currently. You'll get to see Nephew Starfall in the hall later so just bear it in for now, alright?"

Sucking in a deep breath of readied insults, I nodded my head and replied, "Fine, but this better not be another secret blind date event for me."

"Of course, of course...We Senior Elders have already discussed it with your parents that no match ups nor marriage proposals will be considered until you're of legal age." The middle age man explained. Oh right, this middle age man with a bear like build was actually a Junior Elder like my and Starfall's dads. He was Elder brother Lei Yong's father and was called Junior Elder Lei.

As Junior Elder Lei and mother went to sit at their respected seats, I strode over to the kid's corner.

"Hey Crystal, glad that you could make it!" Yong Sheng chirped. Brother Yong Sheng was dressed in his usual work out gear, a white singlet with short pants that displayed his bulging triceps and calves.

"Hey Yong Sheng, you look...Muscular?"

"Oh, you've noticed? Yeah, I've been working out in the mountains just now till my dad suddenly used a teleportation scroll and summoned me here.....I was going to wrestle a Fear Bear as well!...I mean why waste our time at balls and banquets when we could be working out?!"

I could only smile wryly in retort.

"Good day Sister Crystal, you look absolutely stunning," Lei Yong praised. Little brother Lei Yong was wearing a dark blue daoist robe over red pants. Even though he was a guy, his hair was actually longer than mine. Even when he tied his hair up, it would still reached his calves. I don't know if there were benefits for guys having long hair but I felt like Little brother Lei Yong was just lazy to cut his hair. If little brother Lei Yong had cut away his ridiculous long hair, his position in the common folk's hearts would definitely sky rocket. The residents of our territory didn't like Little brother Lei Yong very much because he always had this arrogant air around him which was caused by his ludicrous lengthy hair.

"Elder sister Crystal, you're here!" Little sister Jade dashed and hugged from me cheerfully.

The next person to greet me was my Little sister Jade. With her silky black hair and pure eyes, people would often mistake her as a fair and elegant maiden. But the thing was, she was the complete opposite of everyone's first impressions. Sure, her beauty matched mine but her temperament...was similar to that of Sister Da's. She's a lovely little girl...when she doesn't keep visiting Little brother Starfall to play. Although she had friends her age that often come to her place to hang out, Little Sister Jade was more eager to play tag with Little brother Starfall than to play tea house party with her own friends. As her elder sister, I sometimes do understand her desires to let steam off after a hard and quiet cultivation session, but most of the time I would just assume she was a hyperactive kid that needed someone else to exhaust her energy.

If I was a cultivation genius who entered Body Tempering realm the youngest, then she was the cultivation genius who reached Spirit Refinement realm the fastest. Little sister Jade had just entered Body Tempering realm last year and now she had just broken through Spirit Refinement realm last week! The family elders had speculated that little sister Jade was hyperactive because she possessed a special physique meant for on-the-go cultivation. There were currently no records of this physique ever appearing in our family much less anywhere else since my Severlance Family had the 2nd biggest collection of ancient books and scrolls in the entire nation.

Afterwards, I gave my greetings to my two other sisters and they nodded back. One was my martial arts enthusiast, Sister Da and the other was my legal loli Elder Sister Yunfeng. They weren't cold but instead were both discussing their perceptions of the Martial Dao. Sister Da was already Mid Spirit Refinement realm whereas Elder Sister Yunfeng at the mere age of 19 had reach peak early Soul Condensation realm. Now that I thought about it, Elder sister Yunfeng was already this strong before turning 20 and my father, Cold Emperor had only reach Soul Condensation realm after 20 years old...Elder sister Yunfeng was the pride and joy of my generation.

After greeting my siblings, I went over to the furthest corner to calm my sulking heart. 'Haiz, why isn't Starfall here...' *Sobbing me noises*
