Irregular

We were teleported to Evankhell's Mothership. The other regulars are not stupid, they knew that it must be some bigshot's ship.

There were a lot of people around us. Considering that almost 200 people passed, it will definitely look lively.

I could spot the different people who will later shine like a star as they ascend the tower.

I followed Khun and Rak as they walked around the place. They did not try to initiate a conversation with others, but they did try to gauge their strengths.

Rak, in particular, looked like he was about to get into fight because of his heavy stares. No one who got stared like that would feel comfortable.

I stayed quiet as I walked with them. With my looks, I attracted some stares from opposite sex but that was it. They appeared surprised but not interested.

"There are a lot of people here with bizarre abilities. Guys, let's be careful when we meet them."

Rak just grumbled and did not speak. He glanced at me as if saying that it was unnecessary.

I cannot help but frown. This guy seems to be aware that I should be the one they should be most worried about.

'Do not worry. I will not kill you.'

I spoke to Rak using my lips. I did not make any sounds. This crocodile also frowned as he looked ahead.

Hm. Very good. He knows the boundary of what he could hunt and what he could not. It was a sign of maturity that I did not notice that much in the webtoon.

"Well, I'm sure we are the strongest team. After all, we have the all-powerful Mr. Crocodile!"

"What's wrong with you, tricky turtle?! Why are you so noisy!"

Khun complained as he touched his shoulders where Rak pushed him. They looked at each other with hostile looks, but there were no ill-intentions in their eyes.

They will definitely become good friends. I nodded to myself.

There were some teams who already got themselves into trouble. They are arguing over little things. In simple words, they are trying to assert their dominance.

True. That will normally work but in this scenario where everyone is as equally powerful or more than you, that will only backfire against you.

Khun cannot also help but shake his head.

"How childish..."

He clicked his tongue in annoyance. Khun knew that they will soon be stopped by someone. He smiled as he looked at the two teams who got into an argument with his playful eyes.

"You did not take my words seriously, aren't you Regulars?"

"What- Do you want to die too?"

The red-haired troublemaker was still not done with his bullsh*t as he tried to show how much of a retard and of a child he is.

"I am the test administrator. Lero Ro."

"...Then you're a Ranker?"

Lero Ro nodded his head. He was blonde and wore a black and white long-sleeved that extended below his knees. His pants were black as well.

"Damn it! I'm only backing down because of him!"

The red-haired kid pointed his fingers at the other team, more specifically on the sword wielder I met before on the grassy plains.

"What a lively crowd we have here..."

Lero Ro looked at the Regulars with a smile on his face.

"I will explain the next round. I am Lero Ro, the test administrator. Nice to meet chu!"

Goddamn. Here we are. This cringe moment.

I clicked my tongue in annoyance. What the hell is wrong with this bastard?

"Before the next test, there will be a pre-test. Those who cannot pass the pre-test will not take the next test!"

When the crowd heard that, they got rowdy. It was another elimination test. That meant there was a chance that they themselves will get eliminated.

"Alright, let's begin the pre-test. Boom!"

An influx of Shinsu suddenly bombarded everyone. Everyone got thrown a few meters away as they tried to stabilize themselves.

Lero Ro was still trying to pressurize the Regulars, but he suddenly felt a tap on his shoulders.

"How about you stop now, respected Ranker?"

I was standing beside him with a smile.

Lero Ro's face changed immediately, as he glanced at me. He jumped away almost instantly.

"...Who are you?"

I proceeded towards him and whispered to his ears.

"I am what you guys call an Irregular."

He looked at me wide-eyed as the barrier he constructed almost crumbed because of his shock.

Khun and the others managed to stand up as they looked at Lero Ro. Everyone was shocked when they saw me standing beside Lero Ro.

I waved my hands at Khun and Rak as I walked towards the stairs and sat on it.

"Baam... How?"

Khun asked himself inwardly. That influx of Shinsu blasted everyone away but Baam was standing beside Lero Ro as if nothing happened.

Warning bells were continuously ringing in his mind. Khun is a smart person.

Is he perhaps...?

But nonetheless, he knew that it was only speculation at this point. For now, Khun needed to cross this barrier or else forget about asking Baam, he might not even get to climb the tower.

"I created a barrier of Shinsu. The teams who can pass through the veil of this barrier will be able to participate in the next round."

Shinsu is an energy that could be found in every part of tower. Existing beside it is like breathing. However, there are times that it could be a dangerous weapon.

Those who cannot deal with Shinsu of this level are not appropriate candidates for the tower. As you go higher, the concentration of Shinsu will become stronger.

In the end, it is all luck and talent. They can only blame their fate for being a talentless person.

"Wait- You said team, so..."

"Yes. That team fails."

The Regulars got rowdy as they complained to Lero Ro. The latter only laughed mockingly at their childishness as he observed the crowd.

He would glance at me from time to time, but I simply ignored him.

I could feel four gazes on me. The girl lizard, the one sleeping on the blanket, and my two teammates. They looked at me seriously as if I had done something wrong.

In the story, Lero Ro will come to Baam and chat with him. But this time, he was avoiding me.

I cannot blame him. Someone who is confident enough to tell strangers that they are 'Irregulars' must be someone with a few screw loose or someone who has something to back it up.

It can either be protection from someone, influence, family, or their own strength.

Still, it is pretty boring. Should I destroy this floor?
