Excitement

I looked at my surroundings. It was a grassy field and that meant I have successfully arrived at the second floor of the tower.

I toned down my excitement as I looked back at my experience.

I killed a living being, a human at that, for the first time in my life. However, I did not experience anything. It was as if I was squashing a bug.

This was wrong.

I knew that it must be because I have already went beyond the realms of life and death.

My emotions went back to me, but it was not as natural as before. I need that sympathy or I would not be able to live my life in this new world properly.

Still, I do not regret my decision. Rachel needs to die. She is an eyesore and will definitely create countless troubles for myself in the future.

Although, they can hardly do anything to me, what would you feel if there are ants crawling at your back? Wouldn't you be annoyed? They need to be erased.

I do not want to be a babysitter. Troubles will indeed make my adventure more exciting but at her level, they will nothing be but an annoyance to my side.

As I was thinking to myself.

"This is the Evankhell's Floor. It is also called the 'Floor of Test' because..."

I looked at the blue white sky and inspected it. I could sense an object levitating above us like a monitoring device. It was the object that transmitted these announcements to us.

"The first test is as follows! There are 400 regulars here. We will narrow it down to 200! Use every possible means. Begin!"

I felt excited as I looked forward to the event. What felt like a deathmatch to others only looked like a special event for me. I cannot help but laugh because of that.

I will tone down my ability to their level. As the Shinsu upgraded the strength of my body, I sensed the grass around me sway in an unnatural way. Someone was here.

This body now had better senses compared to when I was back then in my previous world. I could control it as I will it and provide it with unlimited strength depending on my will.

Basically, if I wanted my punch to crack open the sky, I could do it. But if I only wanted to be strong enough to crack apart a normal person's ribs with one punch, it would be like that.

I looked at the tall human figure with a mask that appeared before me. He was strong enough to produce ripples of the wind as he appeared.

Shinsu can do anything. Likewise, I used it to ponder what the normal strength level should be. Nonetheless, I stepped towards him.

He appeared surprised but still readied his stance. He swung down his sword, but struck nothing but the dirt on the ground.

Before the tall human figure had anything to say, he saw the world flipped over. It was only in an instant, but he felt pain course throughout his body before his consciousness scattered.

I instantly killed him with a punch.

Swish!

I clicked my tongue as I captured the bullet aimed at me using my bare hands. I looked at the direction where it was fired and naturally, there was a sniper prone on the small mountain in the distance.

I opened my hands and the bullet simultaneously appeared to be floating and rotating. It leaned forward and aimed back at the sniper.

The sniper appeared to be flustered and tried to hide.

I looked at the sniper with confusion on my face. There stood a walking crocodile wearing crimson robes. The sniper did not even put the crocodile in his eyes and just focused at me.

The sniper tried to hide from my gaze but soon found himself thrown away by the crocodile.

Oh? Rak was that kind? I almost forgot but this guy only hunted the worthy.

Rak looked at me seriously. He emanated the aura of a predator. He seemed to be keen on watching my actions as he ignored the other powerful participants.

I smiled at him from afar.

There was no need to antagonize this cute crocodile. If I want comrades, I would want them, but the fact that I am now moving around differently compared to the story, it would be hard to say.

I am not like the 'original' Baam who could attract others because of his conviction and kindness. I am an entirely different person who could kill an administrator on a whim.

I want to show sympathy but I cannot force it. I have changed.

Forget it. I will eventually come across someone who could become my comrade.

Soon, the participants were quickly reduced to 200.

"Hello, everyone. The first test is over now! Congratulations!"

Hm. Now this would be troublesome. If I remember things right.

"The second test will start. For those who remained, find two teammates. Yes, you will need to be a team of three to pass this test! We will give you five minutes. Now, start!"

The people around me hurriedly went to people who they previously encountered. I felt like an outcast of caste system in this place. I cannot help but feel depressed.

Should I blast open this floor and go to next floor?

I can force myself to the next floor if I want, but...

In this place, there were only six people. So naturally, it should be enough to form two teams.

There was a lizard girl with green whip, beside her was a black haired guy who wielded a sword. Then, there was that dumb-looking kid who did not know what to do.

They will definitely form a team.

My knowledge about the Tower of God universe is pretty handy but I should not rely on it every single time. There are high chances that it will turn useless, just from the fact that I killed Rachel.

Anyways, what were their names again?

Hm. That's odd. I cannot remember properly. Rather, it is too troublesome to remember.

Khun, the white haired guy with blue braids and Rak, the cute crocodile. They are the two others beside me. Oh, it is definitely going to be a team!

"Guys, how about we form a team for now? We do not want to be eliminated right?"

Khun approached me while he looked at Rak from the cliff. He looked carefree and determined.

"Sure. I do not mind."

"Nice to meet you. I'm Khun."

I shake hands with Khun as Rak landed beside us.

He looked at me intently. I just shrugged and allowed Khun to do his thing. This guy is a known sociable person after all.

"Wow. A crocodile. I did not expect this."

"Little turtle, are you mocking me?"

I cannot help but laugh. They were talking as if they are reading a comedy skit. These guys are professional. Entertaining!

It is definitely better to experience it yourself than read it using your device. I cannot help but be thankful to my death. At least, this life would not be so boring.

"We, three, are now a team. So who is going to be our leader?"

"Little turtle, I never acknowledged you as a member. But of course, I will be the leader!"

I shrugged and just agreed. Let's just get this over with.

Khun saw that and cheerily smiled as well.

I jumped and landed on Rak's shoulder. I stood effortlessly as I felt proud.

Hm. Riding a standing crocodile is a nice experience. I want to try riding a dragon next.

Khun also jumped and tried to strangle Rak with a happy smile.

"The five minutes are done! Those who have formed a team will be teleported to the next spot!"

A power enveloped the three of us as we were being teleported.

What the heck? Did they made us make a team to not expend that much resources on teleporting regulars? Now, this is unexpected. Are they that stingy?

"Argghhh! You goddamn little turtles. Get off me!"

Rak tried to throw us off, but he cannot defy the power that enveloped us. It made us into a single entity as we were teleported.

I rolled my eyes as I looked at the two who were enjoying themselves.
