Opening the Gate

As I regained control over my body, the hieroglyphics and various sculpture appeared before my eyes. It depicted the story of a mortal reaching the top of this place.

Once a mortal, now a god.

This is the place where everything began.

I involuntarily smiled.

My knowledge over this world slowly assimilated itself to my own. It was a smooth process that I enjoyed with bliss. I could feel power throughout my body.

Shinsu. An energy that I could only imagine back then, was at my fingertips, waiting for my every command. Whether it be creation or destruction, it shall be granted.

It felt natural. I instinctively knew that I could even instantly erase this whole tower if I wanted to. This energy that only existed inside the tower unimaginably granted me power similar to omnipotence.

It embodied every element, thus it could create anything. It could create anything, therefore it could destroy everything.

Shinsu Warping was more powerful that I initially thought.

I stood up as I inspected my surroundings.

I am now inside a room with endless boundaries. Is this the Gate Room?

A magnificent and towering door stood at the very center of this place. It looked ordinary but I knew that it was the entrance for a wonderful place.

I stepped forward and appeared before the door.

I looked back and saw the darkness that seemed to devour everything. I now understood.

Irregulars are truly banes for this tower. They could ignore the endless space that will trap people and stand before the door that emanated a frightening amount of energy. It was Shinsu.

Regulars cannot even hope to stand before this door. They will instantly be tore into shreds.

Placing my hand on the door, I exerted very little force.

I did not command the Shinsu around me to react. They acted as if I was just an Irregular. They assaulted my body with their tremendous force but it was to no avail.

This body is the body of an Irregular. Shinsu cannot exert its dominance over it.

The gate have opened enough for a teen to walk in.

I stepped into the gate and emerged from the other side of the door.

A red light that looked like it was inspecting me abruptly shone over me. It looked at me interestingly but disappeared nonetheless without any notice.

"My, my- It's been a while since there's been a visitor like you here."

I heard a voice and looked at its direction.

It looked like a white rabbit but that was just its long ears tricking my eyes. There was a black slit on its face that could form expressions like that of a human mouth.

"Welcome to the tower, young boy."

He swirled a long yellow stick. The stick has green balls at each end. It was definitely a treasure.

I could feel a strong authority coming off from the yellow stick.

So, it was a treasure that could infinitely strengthen your control over Shinsu?

This guy... is he really an administrator?

The webtoon never implied that administrators themselves possess the authority. Maybe, there are administrators who became one because of treasures?

This treasure seemed like a key that allows this rabbit to take control over this place.

"My name is Headon. I'm the guardian of the first floor-"

"White rabbit, where is Rachel?"

Headon stopped speaking and looked straight at me.

"You are very different compared to what I have heard from her."

I smiled and looked directly at him.

Headon was contemplating as he stared at the handsome young boy before him. There was a girl that appeared before this young boy, she told him a very interesting story~

That was the reason why she managed to convince him to fulfill her wish to enter the tower.

Headon knew instantly that she was talking about an Irregular and Headon is very interested at growing one that could be a sharp weapon against their enemy in the future.

What should I do...

As Headon was contemplating, Baam made his move.

I pointed my fingers in a specific direction. There was only an endless darkness in that place.

Headon smiled weirdly. Baam was pointing at the direction where Rachel was hiding, but Headon would never cooperate and let this young boy have his way.

That was what he thought.

Baam laughed inwardly as he used his ability.

Bang!

The endless darkness cracked apart and spouted a young girl with blonde hair.

She looked beautiful and innocent but I would not be fooled.

I used my ability to create a fire that can incinerate her physical and soul body. There was no hesitation in my eyes as I flicked my fingers.

Headon instantly flashed and appeared in front of Rachel. His yellow staff continuously whirled as a dominant power exerted its force over the place.

Headon was shocked that Baam can already control Shinsu and it was at a frightening level. Still, Headon was confident that he could easily fend off this attack.

The fire that I created out of Shinsu appeared and roared like a dragon towards their location. It flickered as if it would destroy the whole floor.

But Headon instantly suppressed it with his powers and authority as an administrator.

The fire that once resembled a dragon now looked like a feeble string that would soon be cut off from its life and disappear to the skies.

I looked at Headon as I smiled at him warmly.

That feeble string suddenly turned into a mighty singularity. Headon was surprised as that power easily cracked his dominance apart and pierced through Rachel's forehead.

The young girl looked at Baam with disbelief and hatred.

How could you do this to me, Baam?

She asked herself, but the subject of her thought did not even feel sad nor depressed.

Her consciousness blanked out and scattered like ashes. She was dead.

"...What are you?"

Headon floated down as he seriously looked at Baam. The young boy before him reminded him of that monster with red hair and that monster with odd eyes.

I did not say anything and only smiled.

Headon looked at me for a long time before it sighed. He did not look as energetic as back then.

Who can blame him? I am not like other Irregulars. I cannot be controlled and is ranked in the same league as those two monster in the white rabbit's mind.

"Send me to the next floor, white rabbit."

Headon quietly wielded his yellow staff to grant me privilege to enter the next floor.

As I was enveloped with a power that could connect two distant space, I heard footsteps of two people from afar.

"Heyyy, waittt!"

A young woman with black hair and red ribbon ran towards to us. She looked beautiful and dignified. You could instantly tell that she is a headstrong person.

But once they arrived, I had already vanished towards the next floor.

"...Why are you hurrying so much, Princess?"

The young woman ignored the dwarf with silver hair. Instead, she looked at Headon with indignance across her face.

"Why did you send him before I got to meet him?!!"

"What are you doing, Princess?! Please forgive us, administrator!"

The silver haired dwarf bowed towards Headon, while the young woman was pointing fingers. Headon looked at them quietly and vanished.

The two looked at the place where Headon once stood before they looked at each other.

"He seemed... to be not acting right?"

"Has that white rabbit finally gone insane?"

Contrary to their situation, Baam now stood in grassy fields. He looked at the sky and felt excited.

"We'll meet again Yuri Zahard..."
