Feared in the Tower

I looked at the other test spot.

There were different kinds of people who are currently teaming up with each other. Most of them avoided the twelve young people who emitted a dignified yet arrogant aura.

Those twelve came from the Zahard Empire and 10 Great Families.

They are really serious at hunting the little girl I saved.

I looked at Khun who sat beside me. He seemed to be thinking of something.

Good. He was contemplating on what happened on the previous test. The earlier he realizes his shortcoming, the more rewards it will give him in the future.

He is a smart guy, unbelievably smart considering his age and experience. However, relying too much on your intelligence, you might lose sight of what you should overcome. People often become like that and turn into an overconfident person.

That will be a waste.

Anyway, it looks like Khun is not aware of that silver haired girl's importance. They appear to be not from the same clan as Khun did not purposely avoided her when they encountered her just now.

He appeared to surprised that she had pure silver hair as their Khun Family is known for that.

I got to know her name thanks to that little encounter.

She is named Catalina and she introduced herself as an aspirant who came from the Outer Tower. She is pretty normal and did not look suspicious.

Hearing from her tone, it looked like she was not lying. I even went as far as imitating the Chaos Magic: Truth Manipulation to determine the truth in her words.

However, I noticed that when I used my ability, her eyes flashed a golden blemish in its irises. It was suspicious as her expression instantly changed when she looked at me.

That was the moment I knew that I f*cked up. I was not expecting that Catalina possessed some sort of ability that can help her determine the level of the person.

I sighed and drooped my shoulders.

I glanced at her from my position and it just so happened that she was also. Our gaze met as she hurriedly turned her head away.

This woman knows that I can use Shinsu to a terrifying extent.

She cannot gauge the limits of my ability, but it was more than enough for her. She knew that I am the most powerful being in this place, aside from the Rankers.

Hm?

I could see the lizard girl walk towards me. She carried her green weapon with her.

Shibisu was the dumb-looking kid who did not know what to do back in the first test. It looked like he proved himself to be worthy as their companions as he managed to fit in pretty well.

He looked at Anak in confusion and surprise. He kept sending signals to their other companion with his eyes, trying to tell him to stop Anak.

The sword-wielder young boy did not listen as he was lost in his own world.

Damn. Are talented kids really this egoistical?

I cannot help but ask myself but everyone here is an eccentric aside from me. I am the only normal person here.

I used my ability and imitated the Karmic Eyes to check how many lines of destiny converged in this place. My eyes rippled in surprise as I could see not just dozens, but hundreds of karmic lines.

It was blatantly telling me that this place was a very important block for this tower.

Was there this many destiny lines when it was Baam back then?

Ah yeah. No one possessed such ability like Karmic Eyes back then in their team.

"Why are you here, lizard girl?"

I asked Anak who was standing before me. She looked at me silently.

She did not answer my question as she sat beside me. She placed her weapon on her lap.

"Hey, are you an irregular?"

She looked at me straight and asked. Her voice was not loud, but it was enough for everyone in the resting area to hear her words.

Khun who was contemplating to himself, woke up from his stupor. He looked at me and Anak seriously. Obviously, he was also curious.

"Why do you ask?"

My expression did not change. I never intended to hide this identity. But I sure am surprise that she proactively asked me. Although, Anak was curious about it in the webtoon, she never asked but stayed wary of Baam.

She is obviously destroying my very understanding of her. Still, I knew that the webtoon will not always be a perfect guide for this tower. It can be useful yet useless.

"Even people who are exposed to Shinsu since birth cannot do what you did back then."

"Are you talking about Lero Ro's test?"

She appeared to be surprised that I uttered the pre-test administrator's name without any fear. But it was only for an instant.

I was sure that although everyone looked to be nonchalant, they are paying attention at our conversation. Specially, Khun. He did not even bother to hide his curiosity as he looked straight at the two of us. However, Rak appeared to be uninterested.

This guy... knew it from the start.

I do not know if it is because of his bloodline but that sure helps. This guy is not afraid of me.

"Only those Irregulars in the legend can replicate what you just did. Based on the myth, they are even stronger than administrators. They cannot be bound by the rules of any floor. They go against it as their very existence is an unstable factor in this tower."

"You sure know a lot of stuff about them, lizard girl."

"...Forget it. If you do not want to answer, then I will make you next time."

This brat... is she seriously going to initiate a fight against me if given a chance?

What the hell. Are lizards that arrogant in this universe?

As she was walking away, she suddenly stopped her steps because of what I said.

"I am. So what?"

The entire place was filled with silence as their gaze turned into shock and disbelief. Some of them even looked at me like an idiot.

Of course, who would not? Thousands of Rankers are reported to have not met any Irregular in their lives and now I was telling them that a living one was standing before them.

Meeting an Irregular was like a miracle that getting struck by lightning is more possible.

"So you better not think of even fighting me, Anak."

This is the first time I called her name instead of lizard girl.

I imitated a dragon's aura and exerted it onto her only. No one else can detect and feel it aside from the lizard.

She appeared to be gripping her weapon tightly as she tried to maintain her expression.

"You will die if you do so."

I shrugged and removed the pressure. It was not even a one percent a dragon could exert, but it was powerful enough to make any Regular faint in shock.

Those who possess Zahard's blood truly are made different. Although, the blood on Anak is quite diluted, it is nonetheless the blood of this tower's king.

I captured Rak's attention as he looked at me and Anak with a question in his head. It seemed like his bloodline allowed him to feel something, but he was not so sure about it.

"Did you have enough rest, Regulars?"

Lero Ro appeared and approached us.

I am sure that he heard the conversation between me and Anak but he acted as if nothing happened. This guy... why is he avoiding me so much?

Does he not have any balls?

The Regulars nodded their heads and gave sidelong glance at me and Anak.

It is obvious that a lot of them still cannot believe my words. Still, there are people who did as they either avoided me or looked at me seriously.

Khun looked like he wanted to say something but stopped himself.

I smiled at him. We are a team right now.

That is more than enough.

"I came here with a very good news. There will be a game and if you guys win, you will finish the final test and go straight to the next floor. It is not mandatory."

Lero Ro smiled at the Regulars and seemed to be intent on avoiding me to the very end.

"This game will be called Battle Royale."
