Flag Stealing

"Sir, we would really appreciate if there would be no test again though."

Shibisu looked at Lero Ro with a wry smile on his face. He felt tired as he had already undergo multiple tests in a short amount of time.

If the test administrators gave the Regulars some sort of recovering medicine, then these Regular would not complain in the first place.

Was there something like that in the story?

I asked myself as I looked at Lero Ro interestingly.

In the webtoon, it was not Battle Royale but it was called the Crown Game. Obviously, it was changed because of those twelve individuals.

Looks like the time to give them an unforgettable lesson was much earlier than I previously anticipated. I was planning on crippling them secretly once I met them.

"You can only participate with your team. The test will be done on the grassy fields again, but this time, every team will get to keep a single flag."

A battle royale centered on flag stealing. I was interested.

Those who possess the most flag at the end will win, while those who lose theirs will be directly eliminated. If their team do not have any casualties, they can still continue their next tests as if nothing happened. But if someone in their team did die, they will be disqualified from taking the next test.

They will be lumped with the others who did not pass the pre-test.

This game carried certain risks, but it is only for those ordinary Regulars. Those who truly have abilities to ensure their survival would not let go of this chance.

Khun won't either.

"Let's participate Baam and Rak. This is a chance that we cannot let go."

I slowly stood up as I nodded my head.

"We are the strongest team here. We cannot just ignore free food."

Rak stood straight as his spear emitted a loud thud once it hit the ground.

This cute crocodile is serious right now. He was planning to hunt his preys.

"Others from another test spot will participate in this game."

So this will be a battle of which test spot can grab this opportunity, huh.

I involuntarily smiled as I glanced at Catalina.

This opportunity was something her existence granted. She is pretty lucky. I inwardly expressed my thanks to her as I felt excited.

It will not be a fight but a massacre.

A massacre that I only will not conduct but with everyone else.

I looked at Anak. Once she spots those twelve individuals, she will definitely lose herself. A child will still be a child. There was not enough experience in her arsenal. She will not be able to keep her calm.

A plan was slowly forming in my mind. It was a simple plan that plowed everything in its way using absolute strength and no petty schemes.

"Use every possible means. You will now be teleported to the grassy fields."

I stood beside Rak and Khun as we felt a power envelop us. We were being teleported.

I looked at Lero Ro and this time he did not avoid me, he also looked at me.

"Help me kill those individuals from the Great Family and Zahard Empire."

He mentally transmitted his message using Shinsu.

"So that is why you kept my existence hidden, huh. Sure, I will do that for free."

I smiled and nodded my head.

I knew about Lero Ro's relationship with Yuri Zahard. It is something I had considered of asking the latter if I ever met her again in the future.

I hope it was one-sided though. I am interested in Yuri Zahard.

Of course, I did not let Lero Ro hear my thoughts.

I looked at the grassy plains that extended for who knows how long.

"Khun, I will keep the flag."

Khun looked at me and nodded his head.

"Baam, I have many questions for you but I trust you."

Yep. That is right. There is no need for me to betray you two. So let go of any worries.

I looked at the flag handed to me by Khun. It was white and looked conspicuous.

"Rak, hunt your preys. Do whatever you want without any worries."

I tapped Rak's arm as I assured him. I can see that he is restraining himself. In the first test, he could have killed people if he really wanted to, but instead worried that there must be hidden implications by the fact that they needed 200 regulars to be left.

A monster will always be a monster. He can have his soft heart but he cannot let go of his instinct as a predator that stands fairly decently in the food chain.

"You didn't need to remind me. I leave the flag to you, strong turtle."

The game began the moment we arrived on the grassy plains.

Rak looked at the distance and crouched slightly. He let go of the tension in his feet as he jumped and landed in the distance. His entrance shocked the team in that place.

His spear flashed and killed the other teams. There were no mercy.

"Khun, what are you going to do?"

Khun shrugged and pointed in a direction. There stood a team from other test spot. One of the three had silver hair as well. That guy looked at Khun with a smile on his face as lightning continuously bounced across his body.

"Are you going to be okay?"

"Those three are prideful. They will not ambush me. Even if I cannot win, I can at least ensure that I can leave that place alive."

I nodded as I kept the flag with me. Khun walked towards the three but he did not expect that the two boys from other family to instantly attack me.

"Rudo, are you here to kill me?"

"Hah. Keep dreaming. You do not belong to us anymore and you are not worthy of any attention. Instead of that, why don't you worry about your teammate?"

Khun smirked and looked at Rudo as if he was looking at a retard.

"That should be your concerns, not mine."

"What do you-"

I looked at the two boys who mercilessly attacked me. Their eyes carried disdain and arrogance. I cannot help but feel annoyed.

This is definitely cringe. I cannot help but remember those novels with such moments.

It was annoying to read but I got used to it as I was a reader.

But now that it was actually happening to me, annoyance was plastered on my face.

These two are definitely geniuses of their families as they could already wield Shinsu to a certain extend. They had reached this level in just a short amount of time.

Those who enter the tower and try to ascend it will be granted Shinsu Control by the administrator of each floor. Ordinary regulars cannot instantly learn to use it, but geniuses definitely can.

As the black haired kid was swinging down his foot towards my face, I avoided it by stepping aside. The kid was surprised as his kick was very fast. It was not something a new Regular could avoid.

I did not give him any chance as I punched him directly in his stomach while he was still in the air.

Gah!

He coughed up blood as my punch produced a shock wave. The kid directly flew like a kite with its string cut, towards a small mountain.

Bang!

It was only an instant but felt like an eternity to the kid before he drew his last breath.

The impact created cracks on where he landed as the other kid who stopped his attacks looked at me in shock. He could not comprehend how I could be this strong.

There was no need to think brat. Since you guys started this, I will finish it.

I disappeared from his peripheral vision as I appeared beside him.

He tried to react with my movements but he will not be able to keep up. I am now exhibiting the strength of a Regular-D Rank Regular. I can infinitely make myself stronger, but this is more than enough.

I slapped his cheeks as his neck rotated and snapped instantly.

The impact sent his whole body rolling on the ground as my attack created a dust cloud that blocked anyone's vision of the fight.

As the dust cloud subsided, the kid's gruesome body lay a few meters away from me.

Both of them had died with a single move.

Rudo looked at me and Khun with fear. He cannot even move.

Now now, I was expecting a decent fight but now that you have froze up, you just lowered your guard.

It looks like I still overestimated the brats from the 10 Great Families and Zahard Empire.

Still, I do not believe that only them was sent here if they truly wanted to secure the girl. They should be the scouts, while the Rankers are hiding and waiting for the right moment to do their jobs. It was a terrifying lineup but considering who was protecting Catalina, it was useless.

They were all here to offer their lives.

And they are not even aware of their suicidal actions.

Lero Ro hid my identity properly and resulted in this situation.

While he is not expecting me to deal with Rankers, he knew that the deaths of all twelve kids who were sent could be seen as a clear provocation towards the 10 Great Families and Zahard Empire.

Too bad, Lero Ro. You under-scaled everything. Things will not stop here.
