Chapter 2
"At least you were able to remember your name. Anything else that captures your attention?"
Luke then focused his attention on the rest of the information that appeared on the status window.

The information that appeared in front of Luke was very confusing. In the first place, my last name was censored, and he could not read it. Besides that, all the information that came afterward was more out of the ordinary than he had expected. All the contents of the status window look exactly like the information from a character of a video-game.
'I'm not even human?'
But putting aside everything else, what he was more worried about was that apparently, he was not human anymore. Then Luke brushed his hair backward to touch his ears, and he was able to feel that even if there were not kind of long, they were still longer than a regular human ear.
"!"
The soldier looked at Luke when he brushed his hair, and the soldier noticed Luke's ears.
"Are you an elf?"
"I think so, I really don't remember who am I, but if the information here is correct, I would be a half-elf."
"Is that so... Well, in any case, I will take you out of here."
"Oh, thanks really. I was worried that I would be lost in here forever."
After a while, with the help of the soldier, Luke could escape from the dark cave. When he got out, he could see a large forest that was very large, on a scale that you would get lost in the woods if you were not careful.
"Wow, this forest is really huge."
"You really lost your memory, don't you? I going to tell you this since it looks that you don't know. But this is not a normal forest, this a dungeon."
"A dungeon? What do you mean?"
"As I said, This a dungeon called "Serenity Forest" and is an E rank dungeon that normally E or D rank hunters comes to grind up some levels."
Dungeon? Ranks? Levels? All the words that came from the soldier's mouth sound like nonsense to Luke. None of the information that he knew so far was something that he considers normal or logical. Even so, he was not entirely in the dark. After all this time, he had a hypothesis.
Luke had read enough light novels to have at least an idea of what was happening. The reason why was the favorite type of genre that Luke liked was when the protagonist was teleported to a new different world. He also was familiar with the terms Hunter or Dungeon.
But even though that was more likely what was happening to him right now, Luke still couldn't accept his new reality. He had never thought that he would become like the protagonist that he read in his novels.
Meanwhile, Luke was spacing out; the soldier was staring at him. Now that the two of them were under the sunlight, the soldier had now a better image of Luke's appearance.
Luke's body was not very tall; he could be confused if high school student in his first years. Also, usually, elves were famous for having white silver hair and long ears. Still, maybe because Luke was a half-elf, his ears were smaller than regulars elf ears, and also he was a brunette with hair that reaches until the back of his neck. Luke's clothes were some scratched green pants and a brown white shirt covered with some bloodstains.
After a while, Luke was able to more or less put his thoughts in order. If his idea was correct and what the soldier said was true, he had to find the exit to come out of the dungeon safely to the regular world.
"Well, I'm sorry to keep disturbing you, but can you guide me to the exit of the dungeon?"
The soldier was silent for a moment, and then he opened his mouth again:
"Don't worry, you don't need to concern about that." said the soldier with a smile on his face."
"Thank you so much-"
Luke could not finish his sentence because he was suddenly hit by the soldier fits; the impact was so strong that all his body was pushed to a tree. All the pain in his stomach that was where the soldier had punched him was unbearable. He was punch before, but he had never felt pain like that from a simple punch.
"Sorry about that, my STR is 35 so my punches are kinda strong."
"W-why?" Luke's voice became fragile, and some blood was running out of his mouth and scratch on his head.
"Sorry kid, but nonhuman races are very valuable, I bet I can win at least a small fortune with you."
Luke was starring at the soldier with an angry expression. Why was this man attacking him? He did not know if this world were something like racism to other species besides humans or something like that. But what he was sure about is that the soldier was dangerous and had to escape from him.
"Hey don't look at me like that. Is it your fault for sharing information so carelessly. If you didn't tell me that you were a half-elf I would take out of here without a problem."
'Well, he is right on that.´
Luke was careless. Maybe it was because he was scared and confused at the moment. Still, he shouldn't give any information to somebody that he randomly meets.
"So let's take it easy. I don't want to hurt you more. It would be bad if the ware is damage."
The soldier had a nasty expression on his face. Luke didn't know how to escape, he couldn't move because of the pain he was feeling from the punch received early, and he also didn't know where the exits were.
'Is this how it's going to be?'
It was more likely that the soldier wouldn't kill him, but being sold wasn't good either. There was nothing that Luke could do?
He did not the answer, but he only had a wish of survival.
He didn't want to either die or be sold in a foreign world.
The soldier was coming closer, and the sight of Luke was becoming blurry. But then he notices that a monster similar to the wolf/goat from the cave but more giant was watching not far away from them.
Strangely, Luke didn't feel fear of the monster like he had felt with the one he found inside the cave.
"Help me."
Those words came out of Luke's mouth unconsciously. But he felt that it was right to say those words.
Then it happened.
The monster hiding in the bushes and looking from afar suddenly came out of his hiding, running with a big roar.
"What is doing the dungeon boss doing outside here!?"
The soldier immediately turns to see the dungeon boss was charging into him. The big horns tackled the soldier's body with a significant impact that made him strike against three trees that the soldier broke with his body.
After that, the dungeon boss went where the soldier was laying and started to step on him several times.
"Haaaa!"
Luke could hear the screams of the soldiers was making meanwhile the dungeon boss was steeping on him. After a few minutes, the cries of pain finally stopped.
'What in the world just happened?'
Luke became a little nervous and checked the soldier's condition; then, he could see that his body was almost unrecognizable after being stepped on so many times. Then Luke's attention focus on the dungeon boss was staring at him.
Unlike the monster inside the cave, the dungeon boss didn't give him any fear; it was quite the opposite; he stared at his eyes, making his heart calm down a little. Then, the dungeon boss lowered his head a little to lick Lukes's face.
'It tickles. Just like a puppy.'
Luke didn't know why the dungeon boss was so friendly with him, but he knew that it was thanks to him that he was now free of the soldier that tried to kidnap him.
'Wait, if he understood when I was asking for help, then...'
Luke pet the dungeon boss head and then said.
"Can you show me the exit please?"
The dungeon boss then opened his mouth and grabbed Lukes's clothing, and then he threw Luke to his back.
"Are you giving me a ride? Thanks."
"Naaaa!"
The dungeon boss led out a cry similar to a goat and started walking into the forest.
During the road, other monsters that looked similar to the one inside the cave were watching him, but they never tried to approach him. Instead, they have been keeping some distance from him.
"Is this your doing?"
"Naaaa!"
Maybe the other monsters were being cautious because he was riding the dungeon boss.
Finally, the dungeon boss stopped before what looked like a portal.
"Is this the exit?"
The dungeon boss just lightly nodded his head. Then, Luke carefully went down from the monster's back and patted his head.
"Thanks for your help, it wasn't for you I would be in serious problems right now."
"Naaa!"
"Is a shame that I don't even know what type of creature you are. I forgot to ask the soldier what were the monster from before."
When Luke wanted information about the monster, something similar to the status window appeared in front of him.

'Big Nashal? What is this?'
Luke wasn't sure about it, but it was probably that that was the name of the dungeon boss, but he didn't have a clue what the Rank E meant.
"Well, I hope to see you again."
Finally, Luke left behind the dungeon boss and went through the portal.
After a few seconds, he reaches the other side of the portal; then, he was able to see buildings and some residential areas. But they had the appearance that didn't have anybody living there for a while. Also, the area around the portal that was almost 12 feet was surrounded by a fence, and two people looked like guards were outside.
"Excuse me. What are you doing there?"
Luke then see that a man that was almost 190 centimeters and had a big muscular body was wearing what looked like an expensive suit blue suit approached him.
"Who are you? Why are you near the gate? Don't you know that is prohibited to enter a dungeon without permission, and it looks that you don't even have some type of equipment, are you trying to commit suicide?"
"I-I'm sorry, I suddenly wake up inside de dungeon and then I was attacked by man but I was able to escape when he started to fight a monster and-"
Then Luke felt how his body became very heavy, and his eyes started to closed.
"Hey! Are you okay?!"
The worlds of the man in the suit were the last thing that Luke could hear before he closed his eyes and then fell asleep.
