|| It Looks Awesome on Me

Prince Rendell calmly walked in front of me, where that werewolf was standing on its four - but it wasn't there now.

I looked at him terrified, no words coming out of my mouth. “Scared, are we?” he asks.

“Th..there...” I shakily pointed behind Rendell.

“Stay away from here.” Rendell warned, “or else I'll be materializing werewolves every now and then.”

“You-”

“Rendell?” that voice asked faintly from behind the closed gate of the turning point.

I could swear I knew that voice, I was about to scream for help but then closed my mouth as I saw Prince Rendell giving me his most deadly glare.

“You are staying here,” he hissed, “if you go anywhere else–”

“I got it!” I whispered back.

He looked at me for a moment longer before turning on his heels, making sure to lock the gate behind him. I heard Prince Rendell talking to that voice, that voice is so familiar but it's very faint to actually know who. Because of this closed gate I could barely hear the conversation - let alone see. Stupid, stupid, stupid! Rendell, you're an idiot!

I strained my ears trying to listen to their conversation, I heard some words, I couldn't string it together, it seemed like that voice was arguing over something to him.

Soon Prince Rendell returned and we walked back, it took me a minute to realise that this wasn’t the Aldridge palace I was staying at. This palace is huge, it's not one of these modern palaces that are designed to look like one, but in reality they only have five good sized bedrooms.

This place is a proper palace. I’m sure it has four wings and servant quarters judging by the size. The building must be a few hundred years old. Well, it definitely looks grand.

“This is my palace,” he says, reading my mind again. I just hate my life.

I shot him a look, “You own this?” i asked, this whole palace costs more than a fortune! but again they are Royalty.

“Yes,” he replied, for the first time agreeing to something.

The palace itself looked amazing with dark intricate designs on it, surrounding the palace were greenery. Can’t believe a jerk like him could love nature.

“I can still hear your thoughts,” he said calmly from ahead. I pretend to look away as my face turns a shade of pink in embarrassment.

It took me long enough to realize, but when I did- I was shook– like ‘oh my god what did i do’ shook. I just took a stroll into a Royal garden with a Prince. Not just any Prince, but Prince Rendell the infamous Aldridge brother known for his ruthlessness and unforgiving nature. That merciless brother who has winned several wars in the past, that Prince people warn you to stay away from. The Dangerous Prince, the Prince of Darkness– that's what they all call him.

And I happened to talk to him as if I was talking to a kid.

What the hell was I even thinking?

‘Rendell, Rendell, Rendell, Rendell, Rendell, Rendell, Rendell, Re–”

‘What?!’ he replied mentally, annoyed.

‘Hi,’

Well, Prince Ryker hasn’t shown up since TWO days to obviously talk to me with his nonsense, I’m extremely bored to death. My phone’s flat and they aren't even charging it (if they know what a charger is) and Since Prince Rendell has told me about his supernatural power that’s the only FUN thing to do - to talk to Rendell through his tele- something power. So i just chanted his name in my head until he got linked

He grunts, probably wondering how I got linked to him, ‘Did you finish reading those books?’

‘Yeah’

‘All of them?’

‘Yes all six of them, you have an awful taste in books’

‘Aren’t you scared of me? You should be’

I sigh mentally, ‘i want to go to the garden again’

‘Didn't you go there yesterday?’

‘Please I’m bored I don-’

‘Fine.’ he replied, ‘Wait a minute’

I’m not gonna lie but a minute here feels like an hour! I really want to scream until the walls go down, I’m getting mad here- like seriously mad. All I do is stare at the plains or wait for the food to arrive every hour, and wait for some weird vampire nurses who visit every now and then to keep a check on my health. They didn't even put a clock in here! This is pure torture!

‘You can’t go to the garden,’

‘No, why, I–’

‘Will you let me finish?’

I keep quiet as those words tint my cheeks with embarrassment, ‘You can’t go to the garden as the guards are on fully duty today’

‘Can't you just tell them to go away?’

‘No’ he deadpanned, ‘but there is one place they aren’t much in number, but i don't think so you would lik-’

‘Yes i’ll go!’

‘Are you sure?’

‘Yes- but wait don't tell me it's some dumpster’

After a moment, he replies, ‘No it isn’t,’

‘Then what is it?’

‘I’ll come by your room in few minutes’

My patience was wearing thin as I pace up and down the room. My back aches slightly as I wasn’t used to much movement because of the bandage.

You know what? I had enough, I’ll just get out of this jail and find my way outside this stupid palace. I walked towards the door and grabbed the cold handle and turned.

I literally smashed myself into a muscle wall, which made my back send shocks of pain, Prince Rendell stood on his six feet something and stared down at me.

“Escaping?” He asked, searching my mind, I quickly thought about something stupid like the stupid garden. I have to admit his stupid tele-something power is very stupid. He can find out my plan if I’m not careful enough around him.

“Um no,” I replied, “and stop barging in my mind every minute”

He raised an eyebrow, “I just arrived here”

I rolled my eyes.

Prince Rendell eyed my outfit, “Why are you wearing a cloak?”

Well... if I don't have anything to do, I might - you know - explore the only space I was staying at. So I explored the bathroom, the wardrobe and also the fireplace. The wardrobe was my favorite,

“Because..” i tried to find a good reason, but instead blurted out, “it looks awesome on me,”

He looked at me with a stern expression, “The only reason I'm tolerating THIS is because this is Ryker’s orders, remember that.” When he realised that i was no way near on removing it, he tipped his head towards his stupid corridor, and lead the way.

I did a small victory dance behind his back and caught up with his pace. Heaven knows how many guards are here.
