Lateness to school

"Miss Karen wake up". Mrs. Williams voice penetrated into Karen's sleep bubbled head.

"Please two minutes". Karen begged rolling on her bed.

"Your going to be late if you don't wake up". Mrs. Williams says removing Karen's covers off her body.

Karen returned back to reality when her skin came in contact with the cold morning breeze.

"Arrrhhgg Mrs. Willlyy, what's the time". Karen whines trying to adjust her eyes to the brightness of the room. Mrs. Williams has already opened the curtains and windows.

"Dear it's six thirty already".

"What!". Karen exclaims sitting up on her bed.

"You kept on snoozing your alarm and I have been trying to wake you up for an umpteenth time". Mrs Williams shrugges.

"Thanks, I'll go take my bath now, don't want to be late". Karen says getting down form her bed.

"Ok good luck dear". Mrs Williams says leaving the room. Karen quickly ran to the bathroom after taking her towel which we spread out to dry.

This must be her fastest bath in history. It only took her eight minutes to finish. She rubbed her lotion and combed her hair and then braided it into a ponytail then wore her underwears.

She threw a v-neck pullover hoodie over her head and paired it with a washed jean and sneakers, then sprayed her perfume. Putting her books, phone, key and glossier lipgloss inside her bag,karen ran out of her room to the living room.

She's never been late to school. She always wakes up on time and gets to school the earliest. Maybe it's because she had a busy weekend. She was up late last night completing her unfinished assignment. That has never happened before, she always does it on Fridays, latest Saturday mornings.

What is happening to her now?

"Dear eat breakfast before going". Mrs. Williams says breaking Karen's chain of thoughts.

"Am going to be late if I seat to ate but I promise I'll eat well during lunch, bye Mrs willy". Karen says running out of the living room. As expected her driver was waiting for her.

He knew she was late so he immediately started the engine when he sighted her.

"Good morning Mr Anthony". She said as she hopped inside the car.

"Miss Karen, how was your night". Mr Thomas's cheerful voice rings through the car. They talked a little about her weekend and his family before arriving at their usual conner faster than usual. She didn't need to tell him she's late for him to drive fast, the man understands her quite well.

"Mr. Thomas please drive me directly into the school, I'll be very late if I trek from here". Truth is her heart is jumping out of her ribcage. Firstly she has never been late, secondly, no one has ever seen her car or driver. What would their reaction be?

"We're here Miss". Mr Thomas Says. Karen had been praying they won't reach the school, but they're here now so no going back. She stepped out of the car after thanking Mr Thomas and was welcomed by many curious eyes.

"Is that really karen".

"Wow the car so is cool".

"Who's that with her".

"Did she get rich over night". Those are some of the comments people were throwing around.

"Ooohhh the nerd got a ride to school today". No one other that the bitches voice was heard from behind. Like the queen she was everyone cleared way for her.

"She's never late, I guess she was having too much fun she forgot what the time was". One of Tina's minions said when they were fully in sight.

"But I expected better from you, I didn't think you'll go for old men". Tina smirks. Karen's driver doesn't wear uniform so they didn't know it was her driver. That's a relief, karen thought. She rather gets accused than allowing them to find out her true identity.

She is used to it anyways.

"But what could she do, that's the only kind of men she can get". All the bitches gathered around her bursted out in laughter. Seriously, it's not even funny.

"I wonder if bullying is what you do for a living". The female night in a shinning amor's voice was heard.

"Oh our heroes is here, Sophia welcome". Tina smiles at Sophia. Karen knew that evil smile too well. Tina has done something.

"Excuse me, what's going on here". A husky voice vibrated trough the air making everyone go silent.

"Oh babe it's nothing, how was your weekend". Tina says wrapping her arms around Charles.

"Am pretty sure it's over between us". Charles removes Tina's hands from him.

Now people were filming the scene.

Really!

Don't they have a life.

"But I apologized, I thought we were ok". Tina whines.

"It's over means it's over, as in over". Charles smirks at Tina.

"Your being mean".

"Never said I was nice". Charles was totally calm while Tina was about to explode any minute. Instead of causing more scene, Tina used her head for once and walked away, her minions following her.

Karen was more that relieved, if Charles hadn't come Tina would have made a mountain out of a mont hill.

But why did he involve himself. He could have kept quite and watched from the side. Oh well now her main priority is getting to class before the bell rings.

"Thank you for standing up for me". Karen says as her and Sophia walk to their lockers.

"You don't have to thank me, what are friends for. But I didn't do anything, it's that guy that did all the work".

"Charles, his just one of the school jocks, why would he help me".

"But what he did still benefited you, thank him or something".

"Nah I don't think he needs my thanks". Karen rolls her eyes. She didn't want to tell Sophia about meeting Charles and his sister on Saturday and the tree scene.

"Why of course I need your thank you". Charles husky voice arrives.
