Shopping

Maybe it's because she's fond of his sister or because they met more than twice in a day or because they spent too much time together, it most be one of these reasons. Karen sat on her stool in the kitchen as she tries to look for a reason as to why she can't forget about him.

"Or it is because his damn hot". Her inner bitch mocked. Karen ignored her mind and continued to think. Zoey, Charles and her ate dinner together yesterday and then hanged out for many minutes before leaving. Zoey had insisted she wanted to stay with her princess and Charles wanting to annoy Karen more agreed so Karen was completely trapped. But she somehow enjoyed it, it's been long she's spent time with youngsters.

"Karen are you sure your ok, you've been quite lost since you came home late yesterday". Mrs. Williams ask worried something might have happened that Karen isn't telling her.

Karen felt bad for lying to Mrs. Williams, but what could she have told her. She couldn't possibly tell her about the tree and park incidents, she feels way too uncomfortable talking about such stuff.

"Nothing, I haven't finished my assignments that's why am worried". Karen smiled. Mrs. Williams knew Karen was lying but she let it slide knowing Karen wasn't ready to talk to her.

Karen's phone rang yanking her back to reality. Thinking it was her Dad, karen answered without checking the callers ID.

"Hello Daddy, how is Toronto". Karen beams not waiting for the caller to speak.

"Uhmm hi". A female's voice says at the other end of the line. Checking the callers ID Karen realised it was an unknown number, dan dan dan. Karen wasn't used to receiving calls from others except for her Dad, Mom's best friend who lives in UK and her driver, but mostly her Dad.

"Please who am I speaking with". Karen didn't shutter but there was so much tremor in her voice you would think she's talking at gun point.

"It's Sophia". The girl she met on Friday's laughter vibrated from the other end of the line. She would love to see Karen's priceless face.

"Oh Sophia, How are you doing". Karen cringed stretching the back of her head a little.

"Am good". Karen got lost in her thoughts for a moment forgetting she was on the phone. What would Tina do to Sophia, Karen thought. She knows Tina doesn't let anything slide, she's a revenge witch and she would see to it that anyone that embarrass her surfers. She's worried for Sophia, she has now raised a war for herself and it's all her faults.

"Hello you there". Sophia asks bringing Karen back to reality.

"Oh yeah, uh what did you say".

"I said my sister and I are going shopping and I was wondering if you would like to come along, you know we recently moved here so...". Sophia trailed off.

"Uhh sure".

"Yay, alright I'll send you the address, see you in an hour or so". After a few more talks the two hanged up.

Karen couldn't control the smile that crawled into her face.

"Did you win a lottery ma'am". Mrs. Williams teased looking at Karen. She only calls Karen ma'am when she's teasing her. How did she enter so quietly, karen wondered.

"No, am just going shopping with Sophia and her sister". Karen shrugged as though it wasn't a big deal.

"Oh it's a wonder my girl is so happy". Mrs. Williams laughed, this girl is something else.

"Kinda".

"Ok now finish your breakfast and then go get ready". Mrs. Williams oders. You can hardly guess she's there employee, you just think she's Karen's aunt or something.

"Ok am even almost done".

"Make sure you finish eating"

"Yes yes, I will finish it". Karen rolls her eyes and continued pushing food down her throat.

Karen took her bath after her breakfast and then rubbed her lotion. She combed her hair and then tied it into a neat bun. She threw a plain white t-shirt and paired it with a jeans and then with a hoodie, completing the look with a pair of sneakers and her hand bag.

After spraying her perfume Karen left her room and then bid Mrs. Williams goodbye and left the house in whole after carrying her car keys. She has two cars but she chose to take one of her Dad's.

In just a few minutes Karen arrived at the mall and sighted Sophia and a older version of her at the entrance of the mall. That must be her sister, Karen thaught.

"Hi". Karen smiled at Sophia but yelped as she got an unexpected hug.

"Hi, finally". Sophia says breaking the hug.

"Hope I didn't keep you guys waiting". Karen says studying the older version of Sophia. She couldn't help it, they look so damn alike. And the girl has a good taste in fashion. She wore a turtle neck long sleeve shirt, a jeans, killer sneakers with a leather jacket. She was like the classier version of Sophia. Sophia looked simple in her jean and white t-shirt that had cool gal written boldly on the chest with a pair of white sneakers.

" No no, we also just arrived ". Sophia says.

" Anyways meet my elder sister, samantha, samantha meet my friend Karen". Sophia introduces gesturing with her hands.

"Hi, you can call me sam". Samantha says extending her hands for a shake. Karen hesitantly accepted the hand shake with a shy smile planted on her face. She wasn't used to meeting new people, especially not four people in just a few days.

"Alright let's go in and have some fun". Sophia says excitedly as she drags both Samantha and Karen into the mall.

At first Karen was shy and quite but the two girls energy passed on to her and with time she started to behave normal around them.

They all shopped for hours for what they need and what they don't need. They only decided to leave when they all got tired.

"Alright then goodbye, see you on Monday". Sophia says hugging Karen as they arrived at the parking lot.

"Ok bye". Karen says returning the hug. Alright she's getting used to this. Samantha also hugged Karen and then watched the girls drive off. When she was sure they were out of sight, she hopped inside her car and zoomed off.
