Finding cinderella

Sophia explained her plan to them in details and they all agreed but made a few changes here and there. Some parts of her plan was too crazy.

Luckily for Karen, she didn't come across Tina or any of her minions again.

After lunch, they all went back to class except for Charles.

Karen couldn't help but notice that Charles wasn't in class, they both have maths.

Just then Charles enters the class and whispers something to the teacher. Their maths teacher, Mrs Ella, nodded and afterwards left the class.

Everyone murmured in confusion. What's he up to, Karen thinks to herself.

Charles checks to see if the teacher was completely out before talking. "Hi everyone. Do you want to seat hear and listen to theq teacher's boring lectures or do you wanna have some fun".

Everyone cheered with a yes.

"Alright then. We are going to play a little game called "finding cinderella". But it's only meant for the ladies but you guys can sit and witness it".

All the guys booed but still allowed him to continue. Anything is better than maths class.

"So the game is very simple. We are looking for cinderella so I have a snicker here. Y'all ladies would wear them one after the other and who ever it fits perfectly would get a price". Charles explains.

Karen's eyes widen, could it be...

"The only rule of the game is being honest, if the shoe doesn't fit you, don't lie because there would be consequences".

A girl Karen recognized as Aubrey raised her hand.

"Yes". Charles says pointing at her.

"What would the price be". All the other girls murmured in agreement.

"Whoever wins would go on a date with me".

Charles brought out a snickers that he has been hiding behind him and gave it to the first girl in the row to try.

She tried to wear it but it was too small for her leg so she gave it back to Charles. That's how it kept on going, try and fail.

Karen immidatley recognized it. It's her favorite sneakers, in other words the one that Charles stole at her backyard when she was cowardly hiding on her tree.

What would she do. If she wears it Charles would definitely know she's the one. The shoe was a birthday gift from her Dad last year and it was specially made for her. So unless the person's leg is her exact size it won't fit.

All the girls kept on trying it on to no avail. When Tina tried it on, she pretended as though it fitted. But Charles knew she was lying, he knows her too well.

Karen couldn't think of anything, even though she was sitting at the back seat her turn reached too soon.

Karen's feet were small so it was too small for many.

She smiled as she collected the snicker from Charles.

She pretended as though the shoe was too small for her foot and gave it back to Charles. He trusted her so he believed her without a doubt.

She hates lying to him but she also didn't have the courage to tell him the truth.

The whole situation wasn't that serious, but it somehow meant a lot to Charles. He felt a deep connection with whoever that girl was and he was willing to do anything to some extent to find her.

He was having mixed emotions. He felt the same connection with Karen as the girl.

Karen was the last girl to try the shoe. Charles was somehow hoping she was the one but when the shoe doesn't fit her he gives up. Every female senior in the school had tried it on.

He didn't attend any class since morning and all he had been doing was looking for his tree girl. This is the last class and he still can't find her.

Tyler was very sure when he told him that the tree girl is a senior in this school and also the daughter of Mr Anthony Harrison, a millionaire architect and the owner of KR architects.

Charles sat in the front of the school, gathering his thoughts.

"Hey man". Tyler says sitting next to him.

"Every girl in the school tried the shoe but it fitted non of them". Charles sighs.

"I know who she is". Tyler whispers almost inaudibly.

"What! you know who she is and you didn't tell me all this while". Charles glared at his friend.

"Hey don't blame me, I only found out a few days ago and I wanted to tell you at the right time". Tyler defends.

"And you think this is the right time". Charles rolls his eyes.

"Do you want to know who she is or not".

"Ok fine, tell me".

The rest of the day went in a blur, both Karen and Charles lost in their own thoughts.

"What's wrong darling". Sophia pokes Karen's arms.

"What?". Karen asks puzzled. She hadn't been focusing in the class and Sophia had tried talking to her several times but she was lost in her own little world.

"I've been trying to talk to you, what's wrong. You seem pretty lost".

"It's nothing. I was just thinking about Tina and her gang". Karen sighs.

"Don't stress yourself too much about them. We are all here for you". Sophia smiles.

"I know, y'all are the best". Karen stretched and hugged Sophia sideways.

They both turned their attention back to the teacher.

After the class, they had humanities so they went to their lockers to pick their text books.

Karen was glad Charles wasn't in her humanities class. She'll get time to clear her head.

"What's wrong". Anna asks Karen.

"What? Nothing". Karen reply's quickly.

"Yeah you seem lost". Alysa says.

"It's nothing am just a little stressed". Karen smiles.

"Ohk let's get to class before we're late". Sophia says. She knows Karen is hiding something. But she'll let it slide for now. She'll definitely interrogate her later when they're alone.

They walked to their next class together and sat at thier usual spot.

The class went in a blur as karen wasn't fucusing at all.

All she could think of was Charles. The next class was science and she has science together with all her friends. In other words Charles would be there.

She didn't even feel like attending the class but she has no explanation to skip.

Well let's just see how it goes, karen thinks to herself.
