To the beach

Karen couldn't fucus on the class, there was so much going on in her mind.

To distract herself a little she brought out her phone.

Karen checked her whatsapp and realised Tyler had added her to a group. The group consist of Charles, Tyler, john, Micheal, Alysa, Sophia, Anna and her and was created by Tyler.

He named it squad.

Charles- Arrgghh the class is too boring :(

Karen smiled at his whining.

John- I fell asleep two times already.

Alysa- You guys are just being lazy.

Karen- Yeah, just try listening to the teacher.

Charles- Not a word she's saying is entering my ears.

Tyler- Guys we are ditching.

Charles- Why?

Tyler- Nothing, just to get to know each other better and have fun. All the classes today are literally so boring.

John- Agreed, let's all meet at the tree infront of the school after this class.

Michael- Alright.

Karen- I can't skip another classes, I've already skipped way too many classes today. I can't afford to miss more classes.

Charles- stop being a fun sponge, your skipping and that's final.

Karen- No! am not skipping.

Micheal- Karen stop being stubborn. Skipping just for a day won't hurt too much. And it would be fun, please.

Karen- Fine.

Sophia- Yay!!!

Charles- Watch closely and see what am going to do.

Karen- Please don't do anything childish.

Charles- Yes Mom (rolls eyes).

Suddenly, a paper airplane flew across the class and hit the teacher who was busy writing something on the board.

It was not like they were all sitting far from each other. All of them sat at the back sit in a straight line.

All of them sitting at the back erupted in silent laughter making the their history teacher, Miss Hailey glare at them.

Miss Hailey opened the paper and saw, "The class is too boring" written on it.

"Who threw this". Miss Hailey asked standing akimbo.

No one spoke, only murmurs could be heard.

"Whoever threw this.....". Miss Hailey was cut short by the bell. No one stayed to listen to her, they all ruched out of the class leaving an annoyed Miss Hailey.

As planned, they all met under the tree.

"So where are we going". Anna asks.

"To the beach". Tyler says folding his hands over his chest.

"To the beach". Sophia asks.

"Yes, to the beach".

"We ain't even dressed for it". Anna argues.

Tyler rolls his eyes. "It doesn't matter, we'll just go there to have fun. Now less talking, more walking".

They decided to take two cars, Charles and Tyler's.

John, Alysa and Anna entered Tyler's car while Karen, Sophia and Micheal hoped in Charles car.

The car ride was fun. The two cars raced to the beach and Charles won.

They all hopped out of the cars and looked for a spot and sat.

"Uhh guys I really don't want to go to the party tonight". Karen spoke after many minutes of them arriving the beach.

"Why don't you like going to parties, I've noticed that about you". Sophia asks.

"I just don't like to". Karen reply's.

"C'mon, you can tell us". Tyler spoke.

Karen sighs. " Bad history".

"What happened". Charles asks.

"Well I was pranked badly in a party once, so ever since then I don't attend parties"

"Who pranked you". Charles asked.

"It doesn't matter now, it's in the past". Karen shrugges.

"It affects you up til now so it matters". Sophia crossed her arms over her chest.

"It was Tina and her friends". Karen looks away.

Silence...

"Hey I have an idea". Charles suddenly beams.

"Tell us". Tyler says.

"Well instead of going through with Sophia's plan, let's do the same thing she did to Karen". Charles suggests.

"That's a great idea, but how?". Sophia asks.

"We'll go early to the party then set everything before it becomes too crowded. Karen tell me how did she prank you". Charles asks.

"They set a bucket with cheese on the door of a room and tricked me into opening it. When I opened it, the cheese poured all over my body. My entire body was covered with cheese making it difficult for me to walk. I called someone to come and pick me but before the person could come, everyone laughed at me. It was a long night and after that, I never attended parties. Except the once my Dad throws".

"Well then we shall do the same to her. I'll bring her to the spot while you guys set the trap". Charles explains.

"Great, operation bully the bitch is a go, again". Sophia says as they all cheered.

This party was sure going to be interesting.

The sun was brightly smiling in the sky, sending it light rays to the earth.

Laughter was the only sound that could be heard as a group of teenagers all played in the water, well except for Karen.

She sat on the sand and watched them, a smile lingering on her lips.

Karen was really nervous about going to the party. It has been years since she last went to one. What if something goes wrong, Karen thought.

Her thoughts were cut short when she sights Charles coming her way shirtless.

Oh she's so toast.

His jet black hair was wet, water dripping from it. His bright blue eyes looking as dazzling as ever.

His muscles which were not overly built like all those wrestlers formed zigging furrows over his abdominal region as he walked.

Charles smirked. "Like what you see". He says sitting infront of her.

Karen shakes her head a little to recover from her trance and then smiled. "Your so full of yourself". She rolls her eyes.

"Why are you sitting here when everyone is having so much fun".

Karen shrugges. "I just don't feel like it".

"Really". Charles says standing up with a devilish smile planted on his face.

Before Karen could pronounce the word "beach", Charles scooped her in his arms.

"Charles put me down". Karen let out a shrill.

"Nope". Charles smiled at her one last time before throwing her inside the water.

Suddenly she started to bob up and down trying to reach her arms up out of the water. She tilt her head backwards and opened her mouth as if trying to gaps for air.
