First kiss
Karen tried to push her arms and legs but could find no leverage.
She dropped beneath the surface of the water and didn't come up again for a reasonable period of time.
Everything happened so fast, before their minds could register what was happening Karen was at the debth of the sea.
At first Charles thought she was trying to prank him but panicked when bubbles surrounded her.
Charles moved back a little and dived into the water. Sighting her, Charles swam close to her and grabbed her from behind.
He grabbed her arm and turned her around, his heart skipped beats at the sight of her. She looked so pale and lifeless.
His heart beat was beating so fast he was afraid it might jump out of his ribcage any second.
Panicking, Charles sealed his lip with hers in attempt to help her breath.
Her lips were so soft, cold and sweet, Charles thought.
It felt like the entire universe had come to a halt and time has froze.
The sudden contact of something warm and safe made Karen's eyes widen.
She was just pretending!
Her hands made there way to his hard chest as he brings her closer to his body.
Karen broke the kiss/mouth to mouth resuscitation.
Charles gave her a questioning look but Karen dragged him and swam upwards.
Wasn't he supposed to be saving her, Charles thought.
The both gaps for air as their swam to the surface.
"What was that?". Charles ask when he regained his breathing rhythm.
"I was only pretending, I didn't know you'll panick and go for a mouth to mouth resuscitation".
"You scared the f*ck out of me. For a second there I thought I had lost you".
Karen's heart warmed at his words, she didn't know he cared that much about her.
"Am sorry I didn't think it through".
"Are you guys ok". Michael asked.
"Yeah we are fine". Charles says swimming out. He carried his shirt and pants and put them on.
"Bro what are you doing". Tyler asks.
"I think it's time we all head back home". Charles says carrying all his belongings on the sand.
"Alright, let's go". Tyler says. He knew everything was not alright but he'll let it slide for now.
They all hoped in the cars and zoomed out.
Charles car was extremely awkward. Neither Charles nor Karen spoke and no one else dared to speak.
Karen asked Charles to drop her a little far from her house. She still wasn't sure about telling them everything about herself.
"Is this your house". Charles asks decelerating the car.
"No it's a little farther but I'll just walk from here, thank you. Bye guys". Karen says hopping out of the car without waiting for their reply.
She quickly walked away from them.
When she was sure they were out of sight she walked home replaying all of the days event.
Charles actually kissed her, even though he didn't kiss kiss her it still counts, Karen thought.
It was her first kiss, he is her first kiss.
Karen went straight to her room when she arrived her house.
She immediately took off and landed on her queen sized bed.
Finally home, home sweet home, Karen thought before her inner bitch reminded her of the party tonight.
"Arrggghh". Karen groaned out loud. And Charles is upset with her, her inner bitch yet again reminded her.
She decided to take a bath, it would at least calm her. After taking a long bath she wore a jeans and paired it with a turtleneck sweater.
She has about an hour to get to Sophia's house to get ready for the party so she packed everything she'll need inside a back and kept it. She even took an extra dress for emergencies. You never know what would happen.
She decided to text Charles, he deserves an apology at least.
Karen- Hi, am really sorry about what happened at the beach earlier. I really didn't mean to scare you.
His reply came after a few minutes.
Charles- It's alright. We'll talk later, gotta go.
Karen- Ok bye.
Charles- Bye.
Karen smiled.
She wore her sneakers and then strode downstairs.
"Hi, Mrs Williams". Karen greeted as she entered Mrs Williams man cave, the kitchen.
"Karen! How was your day". Mrs Williams smiled.
"It was good. Mrs Willy am going for a party tonight and I'll be getting ready at Sophia's". Karen informed.
"You haven't gone to a party in years, that's great dear". Mrs Williams beams.
"Yes, they all insisted that I go".
"It's for the best dear, your still young. Have fun dear".
"Thank you. Bye Mrs Willy". Karen says hugging Mrs Williams.
She left the house and called Mr Anthony (A/N: her driver).
He drove her to Sophia's house and agreed to pick her at the party when she gives him a call.
Karen rang the doorbell as she waited for the door to open.
"Karen, how have you been". Samantha, Sophie's sister beams.
"I've been great and you". Karen smiled politely.
"I've been good. Sophia and the rest of the girls are upstairs, am going out. You girls should have fun and enjoy the party". Samantha says giving way for Karen to entire.
"Thank you, bye". Karen waves at samantha before heading upstairs.
She knocked on the door before entering.
"Karen! Your finally here". Anna beams.
"Ok let's start getting ready". Sophia says.
"I'll do all your makeups". Karen offers.
"And I'll style your hairs". Anna cripes in.
"Ok then let's start". Sophia beams.
Karen did all their makeups while Anna styled their hair as agreed and in no time they all got ready for the party.
It going to be a long night, Karen thinks to herself.
