Another Sad Love Story

GA Invenity Company City X

It was late afternoon, when I came back from Moonbuck's cafe to meet my girl-! Ah... I mean my ex-lover.

In front of me sat my right hand and my best friend, who was explaining about our meeting for the next day.

This company with the name GA Invenity was purely the result of my hard work. I built it with the support of my friend who was also my right hand since I started my business in this investment sector.

I sacrificed a lot, so I felt it would be a waste if I mourned after I separated from my sixth lover.

Yeah, it looked like, she was my sixth, if I remembered it correctly.

"Glenn, tomorrow we will go straight to Mr. Stefan's place for a meeting. Don't be late," said my friend.

His name was Eros Sarendra but I called him Ren.

Humph, his words about not coming late, made me snort because those words were actually more suitable for himself.

"Say that to the sluggard who likes to come late for work. Luckily you have a boss like me, Ren. Otherwise, you might have been fired a long time ago," I said with a sneer at Eros who instead sneered at me back.

"You and your big mouth, Glenn. You just broke up with your girlfriend..., hah?" Eros asked.

I didn't know whether his words fell into the category of questioning or teasing. Because I found Eros put on a super annoying face, with his nose twitching like he was holding back laughter.

Having a friend like Eros, I didn't know either I had to feel grateful or lament over bad luck.

Just kidding ... I knew that Eros was asking me. Then, I answered him with him following my favorite words.

"Other women are waiting in line waiting for me, so you take it easy." We said the line together with Eros chuckling afterwards.

See, what did I say.

Eros and I were friends since I had a girlfriend at the age of fourteen. But, at that time I didn't know whether that could be included dating or not. Because we were only together for an hour, and after that we didn't have any more contact with each other. I could tell the story later, after coming home from work.

I leaned comfortably on the soft sofa, with a cup of coffee as my friend.

"Damn you, Ren."

We then got ready to go back to our homes, because it was already late in the afternoon and I was already tired after a tough day, with a lot of activities that I went through. I attended many meetings, also accepted the fact that now I was back as a single man accompanying Eros, who from the beginning did not have a lover at all.

You wanted to know, what did Eros say when I asked him why he didn't have a girlfriend until now? At that time he casually said...

"I will get married, if there is a woman who can make my heart beat fast."

Humph..., his answer made me snort and envy because I was the only one who concerned about the gossip between us, so I would rather to have a lover to make the gossip dim and the consequence was that I never felt my heart beating fast.

"Be careful, Glenn! See you tomorrow," Eros said when we were in our own vehicles.

"Yo," I said curtly, before we got into our cars.

Brum!

I drove at moderate speed, remembering the slippery road after the rain this afternoon. I didn't want anything untoward to happen on my way to the apartment which I shared with my girl-! I mean my ex-lover.

I seemed to have to train my tongue right away to get used to calling Zoya my ex-lover.

Hmm.... Zoya.

Actually, I am quite comfortable with her, apart from her naughty behavior when she wanted to have more, not only kisses and touches when she seduced me.

Even though I didn't love her, but I quite liked her as a woman who kept me away from the gossip about men who liked men. The news that was circulated by irresponsible parties, just because I was always seen going out with Eros. Not far from where I drove, I could see a tall building which was the apartment where I lived.

I didn't know if Zoya had left from there or not. But whatever, even if she hadn't left the apartment, I was not going to kick her out either. I didn't want to be labeled as a damn boy, like what she said to me at the cafe earlier. At least I would give her time, for her to find her own shelter.

The gate opened automatically after I accessed it with the resident's identity card. The security of my apartment was one of the best, not anyone could get in and I was quite comfortable because of it.

Ckit!

Finally I reached the basement where I used to park my car. I turned off the engine and pulled the car key from its place. Put it in my pants pocket, then took out my coat and briefcase which I draped on my right arm, while my other hand closed the car door with a loud thud.

After making sure that my car was perfectly locked, I stepped my feet towards the elevator, entered it and pressed the button for the floor where my residence was and then waited with one hand filled my pants pocket.

Cool pose, that what people usually said. Unfortunately, it was not because I was in a cool pose, but I was trying to take my cellphone, which vibrated with Zoya's name plastered as the sender of the message.

"What does she want now? " I muttered, but I kept reading every line of the message she sent.

{I've moved.}

She texted

"Oh Good, so I don't have to hesitate to go into my own apartment," I thought happily, then replied the short message from her while I stepped my foot, when the elevator door opened again.

Ting!

Finally I arrived at my apartment, my quiet apartment to be precise, which became even more quiet because there was no longer Zoya's whining sound which really annoyed me sometimes.

Checklek!

The first thing I did was turn on the light because it was already dark and I needed a light so I could enter another room in my apartment.

Tak!

And the light was on.

Finally dark replaced with bright lights. But just when I stepped my right foot, what I saw immediately made me speechless with teeth chattering in a snarl.

"Damn Zoya."

I growled holding back anger when I saw the scene in front of me. How could I not be angry, if I saw with my own eyes how messy my apartment was right now. I was certain, before Zoya left my apartment, she first ransacked through my apartment in response to my broken-up answer which sounded cruel.

"Damn, how could I make her a lover for one year. Geez, when she was around, she made a mess, and now leaving on purpose to make my apartment even more messy. What a tragic fate." I grumbled with my feet stepping back into the living room, after confirming that the door to my apartment was closed and locked automatically.

Ok, seeing all this I took back the word 'comfortable' about Zoya, my sixth ex-lover. I was grateful, she moved quickly without me disrespectfully kicked her out.

I was tired but seeing my living room, I was confused between cleaning the apartment or laying down first. Honestly, I wanted to relax with drinking a coffee and telling my other love stories like I promised before.

But what could I do, there would always be a choice in life, right?

"Huft" I sighed.

"I can get old fast, if I always sigh like this," I muttered and finally I made the decision to clean up my apartment first. But tomorrow, I would tell about my instant love story. I called her the one hour lover, because I was with her after school, but then the next day we were not together.

After thinking, I corrected my decision. I choosed to take a rest.

No complaints.

"But.... Remind me for telling the story. "
