World of Arbre: A Scarlett Tale

<p>Scarlett and Darruk returned to the Embassy just as the sun was beginning to set and dark clouds were sweeping in from the north, once more disgorging large droplets of water even as lightning began to arc between them and thunder rumbles ominously. They were escorted to the main hall of the building, located within the heart of the great Oak tree that proudly held the Embassy. Sagacious, Kallaia, Tuara and Queen Thia were also just sitting down as the two of them entered. Darruk immediately returned to a working mode of thought and began to inspect the room for safety.</p>

<p>"Please, my Knight protector, have a seat and join us for dinner." Thia's light voice called to him as he checked behind every door, closet and shadow in the room. He swiveled his head around and looked at the Queen, nodding in satisfaction as he strode back to the large table. Servants began to pour into the room bearing platters of food, the aroma of which made Scarlett's stomach grumble audibly.</p>
