An Awful Price

Malachai left his meeting with Mister Talbot in a silent fury, hunger overtaking his reason. He knew that he wanted to take the lavender Devilkin as a sacrifice because she seemed close with his hated enemy, but he also knew that he could not simply stride into the Embassy and take her. He needed to draw her out, put her in a vulnerable position and then take her. By the time he had descended to his lair in the sewers of the city, a plan was beginning to take shape.

Once he'd arrived safely, he began to make an inventory of his required things for his hunt. He would need to obfuscate his resonance, yes, and probably take steps to conceal his presence physically too. Wizards were tricky prey, very dangerous if they were aware of you but all too vulnerable to physical attacks.
