First Clear of an A Class Dungeon

"Where the f### is the Lair?" Eric said in frustration. They had been walking around for more than a 15 hours now exploring a dark cave. It annoyed him how dark and similar everything looked, so now he thought they were finally at the end. They found this place instead.

The team walked into a large rectangular room that had bones of all types of beings filled into the ground to level it for walking. This room only had one exit directly opposite to the place entered it.

The team crushed these old bones as they walked. They noticed how there were quite a few human skulls. This room had much darker energy and was overall intimidating. This is why they were especially vigilant.

"Xavier, why haven't you found the Lair yet? Are you messing with us?" Eric said as he walked at the front.

"Eric you should change armour if you're going to let the negative effect of it take over," Valerie said seeing him so on edge.

"F###, I can't even swear a little before you're at my throat. I'm fine." Eric answered. The others knew how this worked so they didn't say anything. In an hour or two they would have to force him out of it before he lost control.

This armour was called an E Class set, Armour of Madness, he had found it lying around in a chest in a dungeon. It gave a full set effect but slowly made the wearer lose control. Eric had a trait and Talent that let him resist it so he was normally fine, but now he had worn it for so long the effects were seeping in.

"Why are there so many human skeletons here anyway-" Eric kicked a skull. He then stopped.

The skull he kicked bounced on the ground and landed in front of a monster he hadn't sensed before. The others also just noticed them.

Noah flying above watched them with interest, these skeletons and just pulled themselves out from the bones under them.

[Corrupted Undead] (Elite)

A Class

Level 90

There were three of them, each equipped differently with similar dark purple equipment. One black skeleton had two purple daggers, the middle one wore all purple armour and helmet, the one on the right wore a robe and held a staff.

Each one of them gave this black shadow of aura that weighed down on the group.

Valerie looked behind and noticed the entrance was gone, "We're trapped in, the only way out is to pass them."

"I'll take the one in the middle! I've been waiting for a good fight!" Eric shouted. He then attacked the skeleton in the knight armour pulling it away. With his E Class set equipment, he had the highest attributes in the room, so he was able to fight it himself.

Noah looked at the magic oriented one, it seemed the strongest of the bunch. Although the skeleton didn't have eyes, he felt like they had just made eye contact. It then stretched its hand, a thin black chain zoomed out.

Noah caught the chain aimed for him stopping it from getting closer. 'Why is it smiling?' The chain in his hand wrapped put his wrist tightly. The skeleton then flew up dragging Noah off his staff with him.

Seeing that two of the skeletons were busy, "Seiko and I will take the one in the left, everyone else, go for the exit, we'll follow from behind" Valerie said as she sprinted. The two attacked with their swords but were both blocked by its daggers.

Eric had fun as he fought, his spear moving swiftly. The clangs resounded through the room. his spear gave off red energy while the Skeleton knight's sword gave off black energy.

...

Noah was pulled away as his staff followed behind. He drew his gun and shot at the chain trying to break it, but it wouldn't break, so he changed targets to the Skeleton.

The skeleton dodged his shots as it sent Darkness Bolts back at Noah. Twisting his body he dodged it. The skeleton then cast two spells quickly.

[You have been cursed, All attributes -50]

[You have been cursed, you no longer have the sensation of pain]

Noah used his debuffs as well. He was tempered to pull the Black Estoc out or use Flash Step but he still avoided doing that. Those were trump cards that he didn't want anyone else to know about, a skill like Flash Step was extremely rare and so was a weapon like Black Estoc. He had plans for them that he didn't want to ruin.

The two flew around the room as they shot at each other. The people underneath running to the exit dodged the stray bullets.

The skeleton finally landed. Noah crashed next to it and stood up. He used Ancient Solar Ray.

The Skeleton waved its staff, and a black shield formed blocking the hit. The Cursed Undead chuckled and used a spell. Dark Wind! It sent a twister in Noah's direction.

With the chain bound to him Noah could barely dodge, he moved to the side and used Mana Sheild and Defence Up.

Taking the hit he sprinted forward, the Skeleton flew away, as it cast a spell. A magic circle appeared next to Noah, Flaming Catharsis!

Dark orange flames burst out, Noah twisted to dodge having them go by him as he activated Death's Dance and Cold Mind.

In his strongest state, the two flew around shooting around each other casting magic.

Noah couldn't help but be impressed by the diverse arsenal of spells the monster used. He hadn't learned much other than support spells, his magic attack power all came from his weapon.

Leaf Storm! Blades of leaves shot at the skeleton, it cast back, "Black Infestation!" Black insects made of mana fought back.

'Is this a true magic user is supposed to be like?' Noah thought about how the monster had been able to counter all his attacks.

The two stopped in midair as Noah had the Levitation Staff under him while the Skeleton Mage floated.

Reanimate! A large three-layer magic circle formed above the skeleton. The cave shook as the bones rustled. Noah had never seen anything like it before but could tell it was dangerous.

Everyone turned to see what was happening, bones on the ground rose and formed a large skeleton giant. It then smashed towards Noah.

Using Mana Sheild to defend he was thrown and pulled back by the chain like a ping pong ball. Being pulled back for a hit Noah landed on its fist with his legs, he then shot out, Seed Bullets!

In a second he shot them all around they all then bent and lodged themselves onto the giant.

Looking at the Skeleton Mage Noah pressed the trigger of the gun in his outstretched hand, "Bloom!" An emerald small magic circle formed and spun triggering the seeds.

BOOM! The giant had explosions all over as jumped off, he knew it wasn't enough to destroy it but it dealt a good blow.

...

The remaining six had made it, Valerie seeing this shouted, "We're leaving!"

She then pushed the monster away and ran with Seiko to the exit.

Eric changed the aim of his attack to the floor causing dust to rise as he ran to the exit as well.

Noah bound by the had no choice, he pulled the Cursed Requiem out and activated Yin Yang Reinforcement cutting the chain then putting it away. He did it so smoothly and swiftly no one noticed it other than the skeleton.

"Bye," Noah said as he put Mana into his feet and jumped back, hanging the Levitation Staff, he landed on the floor casually because of the shock absorption skill and quickly made it to the exit.

As he jumped in, Savant then smashed his shield into the wall from one side, while Lofen did the other. The exit was destroyed as they ran.

They could hear the angered wails of the monsters from behind the rocks.

The team sped up running at its fastest speed.

Noah jumped back on his Staff looked at the Explorer Map. He had been mapping the dungeon. It showed the entire path of the cave system he had been through with a black background, for everything that wasn't explored. The path had been curving for a while now was going full circle back to the room with the Crystal Banshee. With no other alternative, he just let the team continue.

Just as he had seen, they arrived back at the crystal cave, the Banshee was still in the same position. This time they had appeared on its front right side.

"We're back here! We went full circle!" Eric said aggressively yet softly, he felt better after fighting, but this pissed him off. Still, he was logical enough to know that he shouldn't get the attention of the Banshee.

The others wondered what they should do next, at this rate they would have to go through each pathway to look for the Dungeon Lord. That was impossible with how infinitely large this dungeon was.

Anya looked at the Banshee, "I think that's the way to enter the dungeon lord's Lair." She pointed at a faint magic circle under the Crystal Banshee they hadn't seen before. "It's like how we were teleported inside this dungeon, it will teleport us to the Lair."

She had read about this while researching A Class dungeons.

"Do you know how to activate it?" Noah asked. After hearing Anya he also noticed something that there was a spatial disturbance near the magic circle, this meant it was likely a teleportation circle. However, he didn't know anything about them.

"I've read that you just need to put in mana, However it will take time to activate," Anya answered.

Valerie looked at the Crystal Banshee then at the people behind her, "Let's vote, shall we go back or enter the Lair."

"There's no need for a vote, I'm not leaving until I see the Dungeon Lord."

The others all agreed that they wanted to enter. The vote was unanimous to enter.

"Good, so everyone's on the same page. Silver, Savant, Seiko, and I will hold the Banshee. Anya, Sultan and Xavier will work on activating the magic circle, while Lofan, Graham and Eric will defend them, you will make sure they aren't disturbed."

Everyone understood their role and got ready.

Valerie gave the signal and jumped out.

The Banshee screamed.

[You have been debuffed, -70 all attributes]

It then raised its hands and sent Blue Flames out at Valerie.

Valerie held her silver shield and blocked the Banshee's blue flames. Then Savant moved in and helped her block. She then ran forward, the banished waved its hands and a wave of crystals was sent out causing her to roll to the side to dodge.

Noah above shot at the banshee and used Mana Sheild to protect Seiko.

Seiko had gotten ready, "Lightning Strike!" She streaked forward and cut the Banshee. The body broke in half and shattered into crystals.

Another one appeared further away, the four moved to it. Having pushed it away. The others quickly came and started working on the Magic circle.

Noah used Leaf Storm sending leaves flying at it. The Banshee waved its arms and all the leaves turned into crystals and fell, they all shattered hitting the ground. It then pointed at Noah. The Staff he was sitting on turned to Crystal. He then fell off, a bit surprised.

[Levitaion Staff has been sealed for 24 hours] Noah saw the message as he looked at the staff. Landing on the ground on his feet he hung the staff to his back. He then shot with Mana bullets.

The Banshee cast a spell, Crystal Mirror!

It formed a shield. All the bullets Noah had shot were reflected towards Valerie. Taking the rain bullets, Valerie felt the experience of all the monsters that stood in Noah's path.

Waking its arms. the Banshee formed floating Crystals above it and shot them out at all of them.

While the four fought, the three quickly worked and activated the magic circle.

[Do you wish to enter the Dungeon Lord's Lair?]

Seeing it Lofen shouted, "It's activated!"

The others further away, retreated. They all quickly moved back.

Seeing them trying to leave the Banshee formed a wall of Crystals blocking their retreat.

"You all leave, I'll hold it back," Noah said as he used Root Control. The roots tried to attack the Banshee but we're turned into Crystal and shattered.

Noah used roots and bullets to barrage it. While the others climbed over the wall and entered the magic circle.

Sensing they were gone, Noah used Flash Step to teleport near the magic circle and entered. He saw the Banshee get infuriated as thousands of crystals formed.

He said yes and disappeared. The crystals rained down on the magic circle destroying the ground around it. The shattered crystals rose and formed a hurricane as the Banshee screamed in fury.

...

They finally pushed through and made it to the Dungeon Lord's Lair.

After everyone arrived they walked to the main Lair out from the cave, with the teleportation circle.

[Abyssal Abomination] (Dungeon Lord)

A Class

Level 95

A black gas had gained sentience and form, and it stood in front of them. It had a horned head with eerie blood-red eyes. Its body was shapeless as it constantly moved.

"How are we supposed to deal with that?" Savant said. Silver had said monsters of the A Class could get stronger but this was no different.

The aura emitted out was that of seeing a tsunami wave coming at you. It was completely overwhelming.

"I'll take the aggro and control it with you," Noah said looking at the large monster, it didn't have as much mana as the Banshee but it did seem to have a wider variety of skills.

Valerie stared at it, "We'll do it like that, this time not holding back. " They had this far, they weren't going to give up now.

"Keep in formation, we'll see how this goes. If things look bad retreat to the cave immediately! Do not die here!" Valerie walked forward as her weapons lit with silver energy.

Noah pointed his Ancient Magic Wood Flintlock at the monster and started the fight. Large roots burst out from the ground. The gaseous Dungeon Lord moved through them easily. However, Noah's barrage of bullets started restricting it.

Savant let out a roar attracting its attention, as he pulled up his shield.

The Dungeon Lord turned around and shot a Black Beam of energy. It was a thin beam but was stronger than the ones released by the Abnormal Creations. It shot for Savant.

Noah had the roots pull him away as he formed a Mana Shield. Everyone else started attacking.

Seiko, Eric and Graham sped past, right after the beam and went in for a pincer attack.

The Abyssal Abomination moved erratically as it dodged. It then shot another beam at Valerie.

Lofan sent wind pushing her out of the way of the beam.

The Dungeon Lord cast a skill, Lightless!

[You have been cursed, {50s}]

Immediately the world turned dark. Noah couldn't see anything, this also applied to the rest.

Through his spatial sense he 'saw' them all still move mostly unaffected. They all had good sense attributes so were able to manage to fight without sight.

As the skill wore off, the black gas then pointed at Eric.

Dark Implosion!

Eric's body was locked and squeezed in place as his veins darkened and his eyes were filled with black as if he was about to explode. Seeing the attack being cast Sultan put his staff down, "Disrupt!" The spell worked and stopped it from being cast.

Releasing Eric who was heavily breathing, he stamped his spear as he attacked in anger.

Noah moved forward as he exploded out with Leaf Storm as well as Root Control.

The Dungeon Lord laughed as it released a dark yellow gas. The corrosive gas quickly withered all the roots and leaves. Destroying them.

Noah drank a mana potion and formed everything again.

Xavier holding his bow pulled back, "Holy Arrow!" The arrow of light zoomed and hit straight into the Dungeon Lord's body. It was the first damaging attack to hit.

The dungeon lord shouted. Shiver!

[All attributes decreased by 50 {50s}]

Then it formed black spinning sawing blades that shout out with no fixed route.

One hit Savant, it broke past his shield wounding him heavily. Noah used Low Heal as he increased the pressure of his attacks.

The Dungeon seeing this, cast, Heal Block. The magic circle Noah had formed shattered.

Anya who was further away saw this and started casting but her spell was shattered as well.

The eyes seemed to smile as the Abyssal Abomination used another skill, Villan Awakening!

Savant who had treated and was drinking a healing potion, had black gas start to come out of his body.

"Savant are you okay?" Valerie said as she landed next to him being pushed by an attack.

He turned around, slashed at her.

Valerie saw that his eyes had turned black, "Anya!"

Anya who cast a water spell and saw Savant attacking Valerie, "Clear Mind!"

The spell shattered again. Anya looked in frustration at the Dungeon Lord.

Valerie jumped back, "Anya why hasn't he recovered yet?"

"Clear Mind's on cooldown I need three minutes."

"Lofan replace him! Seiko take my place!"

Noah also tilted forward and jumped off the ground onto the roots. He moved as he shot seed bullets since the Dungeon Lord would have them pass through he lodged them into the roots.

"Everyone get back!" He shouted. The roots suddenly spiralled and formed a dome, "Bloom!"

BOOM!

A large explosion happened inside them as they burst open from the top. Noah opened them up as Eric stood with a spear, "Blood Rage!"

He threw his spear at the Abyssal Abomination causing a thick beam of red energy to pierce through it.

The gas that had been injured split into. The larger one moved back and started casting while the miniature version stood in defence for it.

Valerie still fighting Savant shouted, "Don't let it cast that spell." She didn't need to say it, everyone was already on that, a long cast time spell if successfully cast would be bad news.

However, the minion came in the way. It was weaker than the Abyssal Abomination but was still fast enough to block all attacks. Seeing Xavier and Noah were shooting towards the main body it cast, Soul Confusion.

Their attacks missed as they both turned and were forced to aim somewhere else.

The small Abyssal Abomination, then cast Dark Implosion on Savant and had him hug Valerie.

"Clear Mind!" Anya cast the skill just as the minion cast it. But there was no one to disrupt Dark Implosion.

Savant who regained sense and started growing black veins saw what he was as he loosened his hold, Valerie pushed herself out from his embrace. She wasn't going to die with him, it was cruel but everyone here would have made the same decision in her place.

Savant exploded with black energy. His body turned charred as he fell to the ground.

Valerie felt pained but there was nothing she could do, she would apologise on earth. For now, she had to kill the Dungeon Lord. The other nine watched, one of their members had died. They knew they couldn't be bothered or they would be next.

Valerie back in ran to take on the minion.

Noah seeing Savant die flew closer. He then waved the True Wood Staff, Flower Revival! Green energy came out and formed a cocoon around Savant. Seeing the skill work Noah went back into the fight. Bursting down the minion with mana bullets.

The others saw this and could tell, Silver had used some type of special skill. They couldn't focus too much as they were busy trying to break through the minion.

The main body behind sinisterly smiled as the team killed the minion. Just before the minion died it cast a skill on the main body. Harming field! A red force field formed around it.

Seiko and Graham immediately came in close and attacked. However both of them were shot back hitting the force field, their attacks had been reflected at themselves.

Drinking potions they watched. Noah shot at it but his bullets deflected as he lightly moved to let them pass him and hit the ceiling.

"Everyone, we have to break the shield," Valerie shouted as her sword was covered in shining light, "Light of Judgment!"

She attacked with an all-out skill. Everyone did the same, Savant who had been in the cocoon awakened. The cocoon bloomed into a floor dropping and disappearing. Just having an ethereal experience was confusing, but quickly got his thoughts in order and joined the fight.

The Dungeon Lord pulled another trick, Sacrifice Cast!

A horn t.on its head disappeared as the spell finished casting. The red force field broke and dust filled the area as the attacks all hit.

The dust started swirling and everyone felt a suction force on them.

Black Hole Devour!

The Abyssal Abomination stood uninjured as a black hole formed in front of it. It had sucked in all the attacks and was now pulling everything else into it. Rocks, debris, tiles all flew out as they were sucked in.

Valerie at the front had her hair pulled forward as she stood with her sword pierced deep into the ground.

Noah had roots burst out near everyone for them to hold and stopped them from being pulled away. The suction force increased as it spun faster and faster pulling pieces of the ground in.

All the attacks they released were just pulled in.

The Lair was destroyed further as now large chunks of earth were pulled in. Everyone formed some type of hold and used range attacks.

Anya couldn't hold anymore and was pulled up. Xavier pulled on his bow with his mouth as his other arm was pushed into the wall to stop him from flying, he shot an arrow that had a mana rope connected to it. Anya caught it was close to getting sucked in.

Noah released the roots holding him and jumped towards Anya. He then used her as a step as he shot forward, Anti Gravity. The force of attraction was removed, he then shot seed bullets at the black hole.

"Bloom!" As he fell to the ground.

The black hole exploded, Valerie and Seiko who Noah go up released their hold as well. With the explosion, they were still being pulled in the direction of the Dungeon Lord. They passed through it and left two slashes on the Abyssal Abomination.

The Dungeon Lord flew into a rage as it flew up and started casting, A black shadow covered the floor. Everyone was pulled in as black hands reached to them causing them to sink. All ten of them and pulled them in leading to a world of death.

Gate of Oblivion!

They all were filled with fear, even Noah could do nothing. He tried Flash Step but it didn't work.

The hands didn't break even with all their attacks this was the true trump card of the Abyssal Abomination. It had used up all its power to use this skill.

Savant ripped off a necklace and threw the pendant onto the floor, "Spell Cancelation!"

The floor cracked as they were all thrown up. They all followed with a last chain of attacks.

Noah used Ancient Solar Ray.

Sultan cast, "Blazing Inferno!"

Xavier shot "Subjugation Lightning!"

Valerie followed with Penta Silver Cut

Seiko used Earth Splitting Slash.

While Graham used Evisacerate

Anya chanted, "Waterfall!"

Lofan used Holy Smash.

Savant came in with, Explosive Hit.

Finally, Eric had channelled everything into his spear, "Guillotine!"

The Monster hit with everything finally burst into light!

[You have slain the Dungeon Lord!]

They never knew how satisfying it could be to hear that sound. They all fell to the ground onto their backs, they had put everything they had into killing this Dungeon Lord.

Noah looked at the screens that appeared in front of him as he leaned against large stone debris that had fallen out from the wall.

"Silver Druid."

The input bar was filled in.
