Crystal Banshee

The other members realised it was alive after sensing it storing up mana. They were happy silver dealt with it quickly.

Overall the whole team was impressed by Noah, not ally he did he do heavy hits, his support skills lasted the battle, while Anya's had thirty minutes cool down so could only be used once at the beginning.

"Just as we expected A Class dungeons are nothing like B Class ones. This is a completely new level, monsters are more shrewd and have a wider range of abilities..." Valerie contained her summary and started the discussion. Everyone gave their input and they all got up.

This time they moved more freely and spread out.

Noah flew above, while Xavier walked near the front with Valerie to lead the group.

As they moved around they noticed black silverfish move around. They quickly ran away from the humans scared by their aura.

These were cute compared to the behemoth they had fought earlier. They ignored monsters like these since they weren't worth killing. Monsters in higher rank normally didn't drop items which was why only the Dungeon Lord was worth killing.

They reached a cross point so they stopped. The cave broke into two paths.

"Which side do you think we should go?" Valerie asked Xavier.

He pulled back on his bow and formed an arrow fire.

"Should we be checking so violently? If we grab the attention of multiple monsters we'll be dead." Sultan said seeing what Xavier was doing.

Xavier stopped and looked at Valerie, "Should I stop?"

As Valerie thought, Noah tried to peer into the darkness of the cave but couldn't sense anything. The restriction on his range of senses by the dungeon was holding him back.

Valerie decided, "Everyone get ready to retreat, Seiko help Anya, Graham will help Sultan in case we need to escape. Xavier go ahead." It was either this or blindly walking it, so it was better to bait monsters.

The fire arrow was released, the bright arrow soon drowned in the darkness, disappearing.

Above Noah pulled out his True Wood Staff and Flintlock ready to fight.

The adventurers waited for a reaction. But were only greeted by silence for a good few seconds then the cave shook.

ROAR!

A roar came from within the cave.

"They're approaching! I sense three!" Xavier said as he moved to the back.

Three liquid flowing monsters galloped on their four limbs in their direction. In the narrow space of the cave, they came together and merged. Getting close to the end, the enormous Abnormal Creation jumped.

The retreating team saw the monster reach above them, it went over and landed In front. Its body grew even larger. It was using its expanding skill.

The moment it was on the floor it burst out with purple smog. So much of it was released that it instantly covered the group in it.

[You have been poisoned, your body will constantly weaken]

Everyone had been affected by it. Noah reached in the medicine pouch he always wore. It had all types of items that had dropped in B Class dungeons. He pulled out a purple stone and threw it in his mouth it was Antidote Stone. It was rare and he only had a few of them, but it removed all poisonous effects.

As he did this he dropped the Gravitational Staff and set Gravitaonal Zone on the monster. Then used the True Wood Staff to use Root Control, then overlapped his Roots of Binding spell onto them.

A dozen thick roots came out from under the Abnormal Creation and started wrapping around it. They were quickly destroyed by its corrosive body but more grew out from the ground and replaced them.

Noah was the first to react but the others weren't slow.

"Savant and Lofen help Silver, anyone who can't heal the poison, stay back and recover," Valerie ordered as she ran forward eating an Antidote stone as well.

She ran onto the roots Noah controlled, then jumped onto the monster leaving a long silver strike on it. The monster sent a burst of white fluid in her direction, which blocked with her shield in midair. She was then caught by the roots Noah controlled. Helping her back into the fight.

Seeing that it was working Noah started going all out in using the roots. Dangerous Plants from his chest plate and the effect of his staff all increased the output of the attack. Layering two skills, Root Control and Roots of Binding also increased its power. He had used this before but he had never gone all out with it. It turned into a frenzy of roots that even the monster couldn't handle.

His mana drained noticeably as Noah ate Mana Stones to help him regenerate it.

Anya and Sultan were shocked by the skill Noah was using. They had a much better understanding of mana than most magic users so they knew Silver was using an insane amount of mana to control such a large attack.

Graham and Seiko also liked the roots, using them as steps to weave around the monster.

Savant kept the monster's attention with the roots supporting him. He didn't let it attack others.

The monster formed a black ball and shot out, everyone moved out of the way this time rather than blocking it. The roots in the direction however were all destroyed.

Noah regenerated his mana with Mana Absorption and formed new roots. To bind it again.

Lofan came forward spinning his staff, sending a twister of wind at the monster.

The monster frustrated sent a dark pulse of energy from its body, the pulse came out from all directions and destroyed all roots holding it. The roots fell to the ground and disappeared.

The Abnormal Creation flowed towards Lofen and Savant who were closest about to swallow them.

"Whirlwind!" Lofan used his skill sending wind all around him to push the monster back.

They had a good start and had held onto it, they pushed the monster back.

Getting cornered the Monster had mana get sucked towards it. As it started gaining a red glow.

"It's self-destructing take cover!" Valerie shouted.

Noah used all of the mana he had left on a Mana Shield and Root Control. Dozens of roots grew and formed a wall of protection for everyone redirecting the force of the explosion away.

The others retreated as they used their own shielding skills.

BOOM!

The explosion shook the cave as streams of flames came through the holes of the roots. The roots were burned through and hit everyone's shields causing them to crack.

The explosion was the strongest attack they had seen. They felt it was like a miniature nuclear bomb. After it, the whole cave had been shaken and a large hole was left in the ground. In the hole, a smaller Abnormal Creation rose from the ground. It seemed to have split itself before exploding. It released a pulse of energy.

Causing everyone, who were drinking healing potions, to jump for cover. Even Noah hadn't noticed since it was so deep into the ground. After seeing it come out he couldn't do anything since he had no mana.

The small Abnormal Creation jumped onto Sultan who was closest. Sultan leapt back, shooting instant cast skills that were ineffective. His equipment was all magic based so his agility was low, it grabbed his arm. Graham sprinted like a shadow and pulled Sultan out. As Valerie pushed the minister back.

Noah finished drinking the mana potion and had new roots hold the monster in place.

Eric and Seiko charged and gave it the finishing blow.

They all plopped to the floor seeing it evaporate.

"Good teamwork everyone!" Valerie said she then looked at Silver who was floating closer and healed Sultan with Anya.

She praised herself for making the decision of having Silver join. He was versatile and was a jack of all trades so he was able to make up for where the team lacked. He was more experienced as well.

"Silver, I wasn't wrong to have you join us, with you here we might a chance to clear the dungeon in her first attempt," Valerie said.

Savant also agreed, "You did well in controlling that monster it helped a lot. Have you thought about joining Moonlight?" Recruiting him would help Moonlight grow faster, so he wasn't going to hold back.

"I'm already in a group and I'm not planning on leaving soon," Noah answered.

"I see."

Graham, who stood opposite, said "If you ever need help running a dungeon, you can find." He liked fighting with Silver. Moonlight didn't restrict who they did dungeons with, so if Silver ever did a hard dungeon he would be happy to help.

"I'll remember that."

Valerie then walked towards him,, "If you ever leave, Moonlight will always keep its door open for you. Everyone lets go"

Moving forward they started getting a feel for the structure of the whole dungeon. It was a complete maze. Going down a path they would always reach a similar split. They had already gone through five of them, then they would go through a repetitive cave. It was like walking in circles.

Noah had checked his Explorer Map to make sure they were moving forward.

They killed all the Abnormal Creations along the way, ignoring all other monsters.

"I see light!" Xavier said as he looked into the dark cave. They walked faster and reached the end.

The cave opened up to an enormous circular room with hundreds of caves on its walls. This cavern itself was completely covered in dark blue crystal. It even had large crystals grow out from the ground near the wall.

The cave itself was not lit by anything, but the crystals seemed to be luminous as they released a low amount of light enough to see.

Walking into the cave felt like walking underwater. Taking a few steps everyone stopped together as they looked at a monster.

They could see a back of a ghostly woman two meters tall standing at the center. She was this translucent cyan colour and was wearing a torn and worn out dark blue wedding dress. She hadn't moved since they had entered but everyone could sense the intense aura she released. Not only was it frightening it was also pressuring on the mind.

Noah because of his Blessed Mind talent had a better sense of mana than others so he could tell the monster in front of them had multiple times the mana the ten had together. It would be able to decimate them easily.

The Banshee was looking away so no one said anything as they slowly moved back. This was the first time they had seen such a monster and they were not willing to fight it even if it gave the best loot in the world. They would have to pay with their lives.

Valerie signalled with her hands they were moving to a different cave.

Deeper inside finally feeling safe, they stopped and started breathing again.

"What was that? I've never seen something so intimidating before!" Eric said as he leaned against the wall.

"Should we leave? If we have to fight monsters like that we have no chance." Graham asked Valerie.

Valerie was confused and understood if this was a normal monster, they would never be able to kill the Dungeon Lord. But before she said anything Noah intervened.

"We should continue. I researched A Class dungeons in the Floating Holy Library and read that monsters in A Class dungeons of the Protected Zone can get stronger than the Dungeon Lord. It seems we just ran into one of them. We should be able to complete the dungeon."

Valerie was convinced. They had also researched A Class dungeons before coming but it wasn't possible to read all the books about them so she believed what Silver said.

"We'll continue. Our aim is to find and kill the Dungeon Lord."

They were back to the cave paths, it was frustrating and draining to travel in such an environment. A few were getting close to the edge of giving up.

Noah looked up and didn't see anything different from his sight but through his Spatial Sense he knew there was a monster there.

"Above us," Noah said as he moved back and started shooting. The others cast spells and got ready.

The long flat monster crawled on the walls down to the group, Its sharp legs came close as it attacked.

Savant used his shield to block its attack as Valerie ran and striked.

The monster was fast and sharp, it just passing by left you with numerous cuts all over. It was able to enter stealth as well. Being an A Class monster its body was basically unpenetrable. The group whittled it down as Noah told them its location through hid bullets.

Savant held it in place, with Chaining Sheild and Seiko pulled her katana up, "Lightning Strike!" She then turned into lightning stabbed in on a weakened armour spot, killing it.
