Secret Alchemist Lab

Noah climbed up a hill and saw a wooden hut on the top. He flickered and appeared near it. Through his Spatial Sense, he had already scanned the whole thing. It was as big as six restroom stalls. It had a desk and a bed with shelves on the wall. He didn't sense a secret entrance but he still walked in to look around. He had read that such buildings were able to avoid being sensed by skills.

The inside was dusty with a cobweb on the side. The desk had some blank yellowed papers spread on it, some of which were blown onto the ground by the wind from the open window.

Picking up the papers he made sure there was nothing written on any of them as he kept them back on the table while putting a wooden cup that was lying around to hold them down.

He then looked at the bed, it wasn't big, it probably wouldn't fit him. He noticed how he couldn't see the floor under it since it was covered from the side. So he lifted the bed up.

"A lot heavier than I thought," Noah said as he put all his energy into putting it up. "Bingo." A stairway leading underground was under it. He held it up with one hand and quickly took out the Broken Treasure Sceptre from his Spatial Jewel Pouch and used it to hold the bed up.

Although broken it was still quite long and sturdy. It was quite valuable but what could he do it was the easiest to grab. He then bent down and entered the small stairway. He had to slide in at first until he could stand then walk down.

They went quite deep into the hill and led to an underground room.

[You have discovered the Secret Alchemist Lab, you may not speak about it]

"What? System, what do you mean I can't speak about it?" Noah asked, he hadn't read about this.

[Secret Buildings are set soo only those destined shall discover them. So anyone who discovers it is not permitted to share information with others. The System will intervene and stop the spreading of information you do try to do so.]

Noah furrowed his brows and walked in, to see what was inside.

The room was a mess. It was dusty and had things lying around. A large table was covered with books, tools, glass containers and papers with writing and drawings of what seemed like magic circles.

The room was lit by a lantern on the table and four purple crystals in its corners. There was a bookshelf that went wall to wall on the furthest wall. While on his left was what seemed like the equivalent of a transparent door refrigerator you might see in a shop cooling drinks. It had a glass door and white light, but instead of drinks it was potions and was powered by mana instead of electricity.

Noah opened the door to see the potions.

[You may only take one.]

[Strength Potion]

Raise Strength by 10 points.

[Agility Potion]

Raise Agility by 10 points.

[Physique Potion]

Raise Physique by 10 points.

[Intelligence Potion]

Raise Intelligence by 10 points.

[Willpower Potion]

Raise Willpower by 10 points.

[Sense Potion]

Raise Sense by 10 points.

[Mana Potion]

Raise Mana by 10 points.

There were seven shelves with a type of potion on each. Their colours followed the rainbow where the strength potion was red and the mana potion was violet. There were ten of each potion except the mana potion which only had five.

"Damn! I should have come together with Alice and the Rose Foxes." Noah cursed, he now understood the limitation the system put in and didn't like it. He didn't think there would be so many potions inside. This would give everyone a nice boost in attributes.

"Wait, can't I tell her on earth?" Noah suddenly found a loophole, the system reading his mind answered.

[Warning, the system has access to memories, if another person is told outside the Eternal Battlefield they will be terminated when they enter.]

"Cough, cough, it was a joke. Don't say something scary like that." Noah soothed the system as he decided which potion to take.

The Mana potions were actually quite tempting but he needed to take the strength potions for awakening Qi.

Just as he picked it up he stopped. He felt like something was off from the shelf on the back. It was filled with all types of books and looked perfectly normal. It was just that from his through his Spatial Sense he had been able to sense everything in the room and all the dirt surrounding it. But there was some part of the shelf he couldn't sense anything behind.

It was like a dark cube in his spatial sense.

He decided to check it out. He went to the shelf and pulled out the books around the area.

There was a safe behind it.

It was silver and had a keypad with a tiny green screen above saying, "Enter Password."

"Do I have a set number of times I can try?"

[No.]

Noah nodded as he moved back and started looking around the room. He went through the books lying around, most of them were notes on Alchemy and experiments done.

He finally found the kind of book he was looking for.

[Secret Alchemist's Diary]

A Book the Alchemist kept all his deepest secrets in.

Noah unbuttoned the brown leather book and flipped through.

"It isn't directly written did he hide it somewhere or is it something obvious?" Noah tried a few important dates written in the book but they all failed.

"If it isn't important dates..." Noah spoke to himself as his brain churned. He went through and noticed that on the pages where 'safe' had been the first word the Alchemist added a number in some arbitrary way later on.

"Could this be it?" Noah put in the numbers.

Ding!

[You may only take one.]

Noah saw the same system notification as the safe door opened, the inside only had one potion inside. The colour constantly changing

[Enhanced Ominiscent Potion]

Will add 20 points to any one attribute of your choosing.

Noah picked it out. He chose this one.

[You have chosen your potion, you may not choose another]

Before leaving Noah raided the whole place taking all the books and tools. He didn't know if they would be of use to him, but it wouldn't be bad to have them. The whole lab was empty and now spotless as Noah kept everything in his Goblin King's Satchel. Only the potions were left untouched.

Noah then turned around and walked back up the stairs, crawling out he pulled the Broken Treasure Sceptre.

THUD!

The bed covered it again. Noah then made his way back to the city to try out the potion.
