After Noah completed the Storm Trial he continued his search for S Class monsters. Gaining Qi and C Class Firearm Mastery, with a bunch of new skills made him more confident.
The S Class monsters all vary in fighting style. First, you had the S Class monster like the Devil Incarnate, it was overpowering in all aspects and was probably the strongest S Class Monster in the Protected Zone.
Then there was the S Class monster in Death's Grasp. Noah guessed it was an Agility type monster. Only then would it make sense to him why he felt such extreme danger. He had been confident in fighting S Class monsters since he knew he could escape using Flash Step. But Monsters with incredibly high agility would be able to keep up and still take him down before he could react so he had to leave.
What he was looking for was any other type of S Class, that wasn't agility focus, or at least slow enough for him to keep up with its movements. Now that he had awakened Qi he might be able to fight the monster in Death's Grasp but it would still be risky. If he didn't find an S Class by the end of the first week of the next month he would challenge it.
While he did this the Rose Foxes decided to accept Sol. She was great at ranged combat and helped close the whole Noah had left. Getting to know her over the week they grew to like her. They were able to complete B Class dungeons faster and now started doing two B Class dungeons a day.
...
After school Kira separated from Noah and Alice, the MMA instructor had come back from his trip and started the club again. He wanted her to continue teaching as his assistant.
Entering the room, she greeted him and changed into her martial arts uniform. Soon the students stood orderly, as the instructor explained what they were going to do today.
"Kira your job is to walk around and help anyone who needs it."
Kira nodded. The instructor then called Vince over who had returned to school. The two then sparred. Now that he had returned Kira didn't need to spar with since anymore.
The lesson passed. Kira spent it moving from student to student demonstrating and explaining. Vince with the instructor, constantly looking in Kira's direction any chance he could get.
...
"Well done Kira! I already heard praise from the students but seeing you in action confirmed it, I've already told you teacher how well you've performed. I hope you'll continue to help. The time we have is less now for the taekwondo competition, so I'll need the help."
At first Kira was going to reject him but seeing that he was rather desperate for help she could only nod. She then packed her bag and wanted to go see Noah and Alice. They would still be in Building D doing today's training.
As she walked out Vince ran after her. "Wait Kira, I want to talk to you." He reached out to grab her wrist but Kira moved are arm causing him to miss.
She increased the pace of her walking, not bothering to answer.
Vince ran in front and stretched out his hands blocking her path.
"After you left I thought about it a lot and realised what was wrong with my thought process. I was avoiding all responsibility using my circumstances as cover instead of facing my mistake. I avoided Alice when I should have apologised instead and tried to make amends. Is it too late to apologise now? Can you tell me how I'm supposed to make it up?"
Kira looked at Vince and didn't feel anything, all she did was walk around him.
"Kira, will you forgive me if I apologise to Alice?" He said.
She finally stopped, "Don't even think about talking to me again, if you aren't sincere with your apology." Her voice frosty, to the point Vince got chills. She was still furious at him for not even trying to apologise. Then she continued walking.
...
Vince got back home. He entered a dark apartment and turned on the lights. His parents weren't back yet, his dad was currently abroad while his mom was still at work. They both were ambitious people so after he got old enough they stopped being around, spending more time on their careers.
He walked straight through to his room, setting his bag down. He then changed out of his uniform and sat on his desk with his phone.
"How to sincerely apologise..." He searched up ways to apologise, he knew a simple, 'I'm sorry' wasn't going to be enough so he needed help. After getting an idea of what be should do, he started typing an apology.
He then went through the history of his chats to find the old picture Polara had posted, it had been deleted from the forum around the time it was posted so he knew wouldn't find it there.
Finding the edited picture, he looked for pictures of himself on the same day. He had changed out of his uniform after school to go hang out with his friends that day. He then found a picture he could use as proof.
Then he posted everything on to the forum and group chats.
"I have a serious apology to make to Alice Rhinehart, in the beginning of the year Alice had been accused of...." He wrote a long apology explaining everything that happened and giving the evidence.
"Thats the first step, now I need to go and apologise in person." Vince then started writing the apology he would say to Alice.
Spending the whole night scribbling and rewriting as well as practicing saying it. He wanted to make sure it sounded like it was directly from his heart.
...
The next day, Alice walked with Noah through The hallway to class. Noah was looking at his phone, he had just seen Vince's apology.
'Did Kira put him up to this?' Noah thought. "Did you see this post?" Noah showed it to Alice.
Alice nodded, she had gotten messages from a bunch of classmates about it last night so she had seen it then.
"So are you going to forgive him?"
"I'm not sure, there really isn't much to forgive. Like Vince said he was threatened by Polara."
Noah stared at Alice figuring out her feelings. Alice was quite casual about it, but he couldn't tell if that's how she was deep down. It seemed like Vince standing up for Kira when she herself didn't, had drastically changed her opinion of him.
As the two reached their class, Vince stood outside. He saw Noah and Alice coming in his direction and stood in their way.
"Alice, I'm sorry, I borrowed money from you and then later denied it. I shouldn't have let the rumours spread when I knew they were all false. I have denied my part, although I didn't want to accept it, I am Polara's accomplice who helped in bullying you. I thought that as long as I didn't do anything directly I had no blame. I've realised the err in my way.
I know this apology is late, that is something I apologise for as well. If you don't accept it, I understand. However, If I can do anything to make amends, please tell me." Vince said lightly bowing. He then waited for Alice's words.
Alice silently watched, deciding on how what she should say. Thinking about her take with Kira she nodded, "Okay, I accept your apology."
Vince finally looked up and smiled. He noticed that Alice had a light smile, while Noah still looked at him coldly. He didn't mind it.
"Thank you, is there anything I can do for you?" He asked.
"Just don't ever do something like this again."
Vince nodded, he then left. As he walked he felt so much lighter, for a moment he felt that if he jumped he would be able to fly. 'I didn't know apologising felt this good! It's like my sins have washed away!'
He took a deep breath as he entered his classroom. All his classmates looked at him. He walked and sat down on his seat.
"Oh?! Polara's Accomplice, you actually apologised." Dillion said with a laugh.
Vince was confused, "You were there?"
"No, Jay streamed the whole thing, I watched it here in class. I also recorded it, I'll send it to you."
Vince checked his phone, a video of his whole apology was there. It showed only him apologising, while Alice and Noah couldn't be seen. 'Ahh... I guess I'll just have to live with this immortalised on the internet for the rest of my life.'
