Matriarch of the Spiders, Sha'Varsk

"The floor was teeming with spiders, all of them clamoring around the biggest spider.

"Do we enter this guys?" Eidiri asked, "It appears to be a boss room, we probably won't succeed and that thing will literally tear us apart."

"Yolo it?" Edgar asked.

"We should some calm and careful analysis," Ken said, shaking his head. "We need to analyze the boss's weakne-"

When Ken turned back to where Edgar and Eidiri were he could only blink, then he immediately peeked his head out of the tunnel.

"Guys come on! We can't just yolo it!" Ken yelled.

Eidiri and Edgar were already charging towards the Giant Spider, fighting their way through the numerous spiderlings.

"Come on already Ken! We could use some help here!" yelled Edgar.

"Yea get over here already!" added Eidiri.

Wading through the corpses that the duo had left behind, Ken followed up the rear, making his way to join them.

However, just as he was about to reach them to help out, the cavern started to shudder. Rocks falling down from overhead, crushing a couple of the spiderlings.

The entire cavern started to rumble and shake, the giant shadow that the Spider Matriarch had cast was now moving.

"Who dares to slaughter the brood of Sha'Varsk?" Sha'Varsk the Spider Matriarch rumbled.

"So, is it too late to, like, turn back now?" asked Edgar, staring up at the massive figure that was Sha'Varsk.

The view they had of the outside was now completely blocked, the size of this spider so massive that it completely obscured the sunlight from coming in, growing the cavern in darkness, little red dots shining in the dark around the trio, scurrying towards them in a heated frenzy.

"Okay, we're probably not going to survive this, but we'll just treat this as a free teleport. The point of this battle is just to get some information on this boss," Eidiri said.

Ken and Edgar nodded their heads in confirmation, now understanding the point of this fight.

"Since we're just 3 brawlers and all that we're not going to use any real strategy, just don't get caught out and cover each other," Eidiri said, "Let's move out now."

The 3 of them charge out once again, Edgar dancing around a small group of spiderlings, slashing away at their legs, cutting them off, and hampering the entire group.

However, a unique behavior that these spiderlings displayed unlike the previous spiderlings was that they didn't devour their fallen comrades during the battle.

But only just before they had entered this cavern, they were just fine with cannibalizing each other, it was most likely to some sort of hierarchy within the species that allowed this Sha'Varsk to command these spiderlings to a certain extent.

"You fools dare to encroach upon the territory of Sha'Varsk? It really is going to be another tragedy isn't it then?" Sha'Varsk rhetorically asked, "Well then, I hope you enjoy these last moments, you don't have much time left."

When Sha'Varsk had finished speaking, as if it were possible, from the previously heated frenzy that the spiderlings were in before, this frenzy's intensity was increased even further.

With not the slightest regard to their lives, the spiderlings initiated kamikaze attacks to even wound any of the party.

They would jump from anywhere to try to land a hit on any of them, some even leaping all the way from the walls, plummeting to their death.

Clearly the intelligence of the species wasn't too great but that wasn't of any importance, especially considering that Eidiri had depleted a large sum of his mana, expending it on numerous Fury Fists, launching spiderlings away.

His skill with the Fury Fist had already gone past Lvl 10, a quarter of the way to Lvl 11. Each fist that Eidrii released would send a spiderling catapulting away however Ken wasn't doing as well, anxiously dealing with the increasing swarm.

In the meanwhile, Edgar ferociously fought the spiderlings. A stomp here, a chop, a slash, resulting in bisected/disfigured corpses his lethality being enough to hold his own for now.

After crushing yet another spiderling Sha'Varsk starting whipping itself into a frenzy, ripping chunks of stone out from the walls and flinging them below.

One such boulder landed next to Eidiri, scaring the wits out of him as a huge explosion of dirt and dust blinded him to his surroundings.

Several spiderlings that he had just been fighting were crushed.

Seeing this sight, Eidiri had a sudden idea that could lead to them winning this fight on the first try.

"Hey Ken!" he called, "Top me up real quick!"

"Sure but I don't have much food left though, we gotta be careful about the next pieces of food we use!"

After consuming the rustic piece of bread, Eidiri swallowed while leaping back to avoid a spiderling jumping towards his throat.

"Okay we'll keep that in mind, but guys if we want to win this we can just use those rocks to crush the brood!" Eidiri yelled.

"You're a bloody genius!" Edgar cried out, a wide grin across his face.

Ken only nodded in response, clearly understanding what Eidiri had said.

Immediately after learning this knowledge the 3 of them started to get closer to the swarms, leaping out of the way whenever a boulder would come hurtling from above.

The method resulted in a less intensive way of clearing the monster swarm, however, they still had to deal with Sha'Varsk.

They wouldn't be able to cut the webs, Eidiri had already tried, the webs were too thick and strong for his weapon to severe them.

If they wouldn't be able to find some way to deal with Sha'Varsk, even if they dealt with all of the spiderlings they still wouldn't be able to complete the dungeon, the constant threat of the flying boulders hovering above them, literally.

His mind racing, Eidiri sliced into another spiderling, the putrid green blood spewing out, dodging out of the way of another boulder, rolling over the avoid the inevitable explosion of dirt/dust.

"So anyone got any ideas to deal the bastard up there?" Eidiri asked. "I'm up for any suggestions if y'all got any. Like. Really."
