Words could not explain the surprise that appeared on the faces of the trio. Even if their expressions turned stern afterward.

The old man's body fell, but Lady Edna's consciousness took hold of it.

"You can have it," she revealed.

For the first time in a while, Noah felt uncomfortable.

He looked at the dead man's face. He had managed to feel shock before actually dying. That expression remained glued to his corpse.

"I'm sure his core would do something for you at least."

Noah got his act together. "It'd be hard to get to his core. His body is still in the fifth tier after all." He explained.

Lady Edna nodded and she placed her hand on the man's belly. Her fingers dug past his clothes and skin to arrive at his mana core.

She yanked it out while making sure it remained stable.

Noah's eyes fell on a purple; almost violet core. Its shape was a three-dimensional triangle. A miniature pyramid.
