Meng Hao's condition

"How did you know that I was surnamed Meng, little boy? Who are you?"

Xu Yuan frowned when he heard Meng Hao call him little boy. Xu Yuan checked his body, his hands look much smaller and his legs have also become so short.

"What the hell…" Xu Yuan held his head which was starting to hurt, he was sure he had been killed by such a serious wound but now he was in a situation he was starting to remember, "Isn't this the first time I met Master Meng? I went back in time? How could it be?"

Xu Yuan didn't understand his condition, his head hurt and he started screaming hysterically. No sane person could understand the situation that had happened to him. Meng Hao who was being wary now turned to pity at the sight of Xu Yuan's condition.

"Calm down, everything will be fine..." Meng Hao hugged the hysterical Xu Yuan, strangely the hug managed to calm him down after a while.

Meng Hao didn't force Xu Yuan to tell any further but allowed him to digest the situation he was in.

During the whole night Xu Yuan could not sleep, trying to find an explanation for this experience that was happening to him. Every now and then Xu Yuan could hear Meng Hao coughing softly in front of the fireplace all night long.

Seeing that Meng Hao wasn't sleeping because he wanted to keep an eye on him, worrying that he might need something or get hysterical again made Xu Yuan accept the situation more quickly.

"Perhaps God gave me a chance to settle my regrets…" Xu Yuan didn't care anymore whether this was an illusion or reality, he would still live it. For him whatever he was going through, being able to meet his Master again was a blessing.

Xu Yuan didn't understand why he came back when he was only 5 years old, when his village was attacked and lost both his parents. He then dismissed the thought, because he realized that returning to an earlier time did not mean he could save his village from raiders.

"Boy, have you calmed down? Can you tell me where you come from? How did you end up in this place?" Meng Hao started to ask after seeing Xu Yuan's stable condition.

Xu Yuan told Meng Hao everything, in his previous life it took a long time before Xu Yuan could tell Meng Hao everything because of his trauma but this time he was able to tell everything smoothly.

Meng Hao was quite surprised to see Xu Yuan who was still so young looking calm in the situation that had happened to him, Meng Hao could also see that everything Xu Yuan had told him was not a lie.

"Okay, I understand your situation. How did you find out my surname? And why do you call me Master?" Meng Hao was dressed like an ordinary person, apart from the mask on his face of course while his sword was hidden by a cloth. Not many people would think that he was a Martial Artist by nature, they would only think that Meng Hao was hiding his face because of his injuries or his appearance was unsightly.

Xu Yuan scratched his head, he couldn't possibly tell the fact that this was his second life right? In the end he could only make up a story that before waking up he dreamed that he was made a disciple of a martial artist named Meng Hao who was also wearing a mask.

Meng Hao looked Xu Yuan up and down, knowing his surname was one thing but knowing his full name was certainly another thing.

To be honest, Meng Hao had a hard time believing Xu Yuan's story, but on the other hand, Xu Yuan was only a five-year-old in his eyes.

"There's no way I'd leave him in this forest alone, he said in his dream he recognized me as his Master, could it be true? Is this fate?" Meng Hao stroked his chin.

Xu Yuan was a little worried that Meng Hao wouldn't take him as a disciple this time because of his previous reaction because he looked so suspicious but if Xu Yuan wanted to make up for all his regrets in the past, he had to come with Meng Hao into the martial world.

"If you really don't have a goal, how about you come with me? Maybe this is all fate, I've never had a student, you could be my first disciple…"

Meng Hao had not finished speaking but Xu Yuan had already started to prostrate before him three times before again addressing Meng Hao as Master Meng. All of this attitude of Xu Yuan made Meng Hao a little anxious, but in the end this Master and disciple were back together in this life.

....

Three days had passed since Xu Yuan had officially become Meng Hao's disciple, they had already left the forest and Meng Hao had brought him back to the sect but their journey was quite long.

Meng Hao, who had previously felt anxious and worried because Xu Yuan was too much older than his age, slowly started to change his views. Not only was Xu Yuan a good and obedient disciple but also had great respect for Master and was filial, making Meng Hao now view him as a gifted child.

"The martial world is a cruel world, but as long as you train hard you will at least be able to survive well." On the way, Meng Hao didn't really tell much about their sect but chose to give Xu Yuan an overview of the atmosphere of the martial world.

Xu Yuan felt a little awkward because Meng Hao's attitude was so different to him compared to his previous life but Xu Yuan understood it. In his previous life he was a traumatized five-year-old boy, if this explanation was conveyed to him by Meng Hao it would only make him choose to stay away from the martial world.

Meng Hao explained that must be because he saw Xu Yuan as a talented and courageous disciple, indeed in this second life he intended not to disappoint his Master again.

"Yuan'er, your Master is not a great person in the martial world and has many shortcomings, but Master hopes that you will not regret being under your Master's guidance. If one day there is a martial artist who is more worthy of educating you, Master will let you be under his tutelage." Meng Hao said this with a faint smile.

In just three days, Meng Hao felt that Xu Yuan was too talented to be under his tutelage who had never had a single disciple.

Even if Meng Hao said that, Xu Yuan knew that Meng Hao was being condescending. The sect that would become Xu Yuan's new home as well as where Meng Hao belonged was the Fallen Sword Sect, although it wasn't exactly big sect of the righteous but it wasn't too far from it.

Meng Hao was known in the martial world as the Jade Faced Swordsman, his sword skills were also top notch which made him one of the most skilled fighters in his sect.

The Fallen Sword Sect has a hundred Elders who take care of the sect called the Sword Elders. These Sword Elders numbering a hundred were the sect's greatest collection of Martial Artists.

Meng Hao not only managed to become the youngest Sword Elder in history at the age of 19, but also the most talented disciple of his generation.

Of course, the name of the Jade Faced Swordsman was not derived from his ability to play the sword but from other things.

"Master, disciples will only follow Master, will not follow others." Xu Yuan immediately dismissed Meng Hao's good intentions, for him really Meng Hao was the only person he deserved to be called Master in his previous life.

"Yuan'er, the martial world is not what you think it is. There is nothing wrong with having more than one Master, in fact I have had three in my entire life and there will probably be more." Meng Hao said as he stroked Xu Yuan's head.

Xu Yuan felt awkward when Meng Hao stroked his head but didn't say anything, After all, he has the mentality of a 92 year old. The problem of having more than one master was also not denied by Xu Yuan any further.

According to him with the Eternal Heaven Scripture still in his memory, he didn't need another Master. As long as he had time, Xu Yuan would be able to master the martial world and fix all his regrets in the past.

"It's getting late, we should rest at that place…" Meng Hao pointed to a simple inn.

Indeed, the route that Meng Hao and Xu Yuan took was a trade route, so it was not uncommon to find inns and taverns along this route. The last few nights the two of them had stayed in the open, Meng Hao felt that there would be no harm this time they rested in this place.

Xu Yuan frowned, for the past few days he had been trying to remember all the events that had happened in his first life starting from the day he met Meng Hao.

"Shouldn't we be visiting this inn after a week of traveling?" Xu Yuan thought as he looked at the inn before him.

Xu Yuan remembered this inn well enough because in his previous life when he passed by, it had been reduced to ruins and filled with corpses. Xu Yuan even lost consciousness while accompanying Meng Hao to check the conditions inside the ruins.

In his previous life Xu Yuan walked slowly with no zest for life so it took a lot longer to arrive at this place, on the contrary now he walked vigorously with Meng Hao.

Xu Yuan didn't know what had happened at this inn back then but it was definitely not something good.

"It could all happen tonight…" Xu Yuan whispered softly, worried that he and Meng Hao were in danger.

"Yuan'er, what are you thinking? Come in…"

"Master, shouldn't we just continue on our way? Disciple can't wait to see the new residence…" Xu Yuan smiled awkwardly.

Meng Hao smiled gently and stroked Xiao Chen's head, explaining that their sect wasn't going anywhere so the two of them didn't need to rush.

Xu Yuan scratched his head which was starting to hurt, a miracle he was able to experience a second life. He didn't want to be killed a few days after his rebirth, even though Meng Hao had high martial arts skills but Xu Yuan didn't want to take the risk.

"If I insist on refusing to enter the inn, Master will surely become suspicious especially if later he hears something happened to this inn…" Xu Yuan was in a dilemma, without a choice he followed Meng Hao into the inn.

He could only hope that such a terrible incident didn't happen tonight because he couldn't help Meng Hao in case something happened later. The two then entered the inn called the Beautiful Peacock Inn.

The Beautiful Peacock Inn is so simple, in the form of a two-story building that provides twenty rooms for rent. Meng Hao booked a single room which

was on the second floor and ordered some food to eat in their room.

"Yuan'er, you are still growing, eat a lot."

The last few days Meng Hao could only give Xu Yuan dry bread so this time he told Xu Yuan to enjoy the side dishes.

"Thank you Master…" After saluting Meng Hao, Xu Yuan started picking up one side dish after another with his chopsticks.

Meng Hao was amazed at Xu Yuan's ability to use chopsticks at his age, usually only noble children were good at using chopsticks at the age of 5 years. The two of them didn't say a word while eating, one of the etiquette that Meng Hao taught Xu Yuan was not to talk while eating.

Whenever night fell, Meng Hao would start coughing lightly. Xu Yuan looked at him worriedly but Meng Hao said he was fine, even though Xu Yuan was aware that Meng Hao's condition was serious. As a result of injuries from sparring in his youth, Meng Hao had internal injuries that were hard to describe.

Xu Yuan could clearly remember Meng Hao's deteriorating condition, ten years from now Meng Hao would no longer be able to get out of bed and eventually die two years later.

"This time I will not let Master suffer the same fate…" Xu Yuan was determined in his heart, with the knowledge he had from his previous life it was not impossible to cure Meng Hao's condition.
