Drastic changes

When the egg had been swallowed whole, and Gaofeng begun utilizing the Divine Myriad Changes in addition to his physique to refine it, Gaofeng suddenly felt an indescribable presence within the egg emanating immense pressure on his soul.

The egg was currently inside his dantian space, and was being slowly absorbed by Gaofeng's various techniques. The Primordial Yin-Yang Destroyer, however, absolutely refused to be used as mere fertilizer for Gaofeng's growth, and it wanted to preserve its own life. Additionally, it felt that if it managed to turn the current situation and instead absorb Gaofeng, its heavy injuries would finally recover. This granted the beast immense motivation to turn the situation and instead swallow Gaofeng.

The soul pressure which emanated from the egg was immense, but it didn't carry the true power of a powerhouse, as although it was of great quality it still lacked true quantity and power. That power had long been lost to the beast by that battle which caused it to be in such a miserable state.

Gaofeng recognized the power of this pressure to be far greater than even heaven itself, but his Heaven-Shaking staff intent, in addition to his soul which had been forged by the Divine Myriad Changes, was more than enough to simply shrug off such a pressure. Rather, Gaofeng's soul was of a far higher quality than even this ancient being, so how could it possibly shake his soul when Gaofeng's soul was greater than that of the wounded Primordial beast?

When Gaofeng himself utilized his own soul, the pressure he emanated far exceeded that of the egg, and in the end the egg's consciousness was completely immobilized. It couldn't even think due to this immense pressure, much less actually resist being absorbed.

Eventually Gaofeng managed to grind away the eggshell and its Yin-Yang energy created a small chaotic energy vortex within his dantian space. Such a development was quite strange, but Gaofeng felt that his strength was greatly improving, and thus he wouldn't stop for the world.

Now it was time for the main course, the Primordial Yin-Yang beast itself. The form of the Primordial Yin-Yang beast was completely revealed to Gaofeng's True spiritual sense, and it actually looked somewhat like a True Dragon. However, there were some distinct differences.

Although the general shape of the being looked like that of a dragon, having powerful wings, legs bulging with muscles, a long tail with a sharp triangular end, it didn't give off the majestic feeling True Dragons incite. Instead, this being gave off an aura which would inspire absolute dread and horror. It wanted to dominate all of creation, to devour the universe or destroy it, and it truly did have the power to do so if it was able to grow into its true power.

The only reason this Primordial Yin-Yang Beast was in this state, was because it was discovered and wounded by an ancient expert before it was able to truly grow into its power. It was only a youngling, but it was still almost at the same level as that peak expert of yonder. In that fight, which spanned countless universes, the Primordial Yin-Yang Beast actually killed that ancient expert even though he had a far greater cultivation compared to the Primordial Yin-Yang Beast. In that expert's last desperate attempt, however, he even went to the length of sacrificing his life to kill the Primordial Yin-Yang Beast, but in the end he died while the Primordial Beast was only heavily wounded.

Some of the greatest differences Gaofeng saw between this being and a True Dragon, was that this being had black and white scales, and similarly it had three horns. One was black, another white, and the last was a chaotic mix of the two colors. The mixed horn was the central one, and its might seemed far superior to the other two. Another matter which was quite peculiar, was that at random intervals this being let out a cloud of Yin-Yang energy which aggressively clashed with eachother and created small Yin-Yang thunder clouds, causing bolts of lightning created by these peculiar clouds to strike out in random directions nearly constantly.

Another strange thing was that the scales of this beast were randomly changing color from black to white and the shades in between. These changes happened in what seemed like rippling waves. The beast was currently struggling to move. It wanted to attack Gaofeng's dantian directly, but the pressure from Gaofeng's soul and the refinement of the Divine Myriad Changes not only kept it in check but also continuously drained its power.

Gaofeng realized that the only reason he was able to maintain his superior position was because the beast was within his body, and thus it had no choice but to directly bear Gaofeng's tyrannical soul pressure. If this beast hadn't been in a state of recovery, unable to react to outside forces despite its consciousness, its purely physical power might have already reached beyond the Deity realm and entered the Godly realm.

Unfortunately for the beast, no matter how powerful one's body was, if it was purely physical might without any cultivation to back it up, one's soul would still be vulnerable to attacks. It could be said that any being with an immensely powerful soul, and the ability to wield such power, could defeat opponents far stronger than them in pure might due to the difference in their souls. Naturally, this kind of victory would only lead to the stronger party escaping due to their superior might, making them unable to directly attack the inferior cultivator, but since this beast didn't have the opportunity to leave Gaofeng's domain, it could only directly clash with Gaofeng's soul using its own.

Suddenly, when Gaofeng had truly begun refining the Primordial Yin-Yang Beast, Bloodbath activated automatically. This time, Bloodbath had a reaction far stronger than any other time. This ability had been nothing but a boon to Gaofeng, so he would naturally absorb this beast's blood until it was dry.

A euphoric feeling filled the entirety of Gaofeng's body as he was absorbing the Primordial Yin-Yang Beast's blood. At this point, Gaofeng realized that Bloodbath wasn't simply strengthening his own blood, but it was actually refining the bloodline of the Primordial Yin-Yang Beast and implementing it in Gaofeng's body.

Gaofeng was gaining a true bloodline, and the Primordial Yin-Yang Beast's one at that. Generally, bloodlines were inherited from one's parents, but Bloodbath actually had the ability to completely extract this immensely powerful bloodline and perfectly implement it within Gaofeng's blood. As the process of absorption of the bloodline continued, Gaofeng noticed physical changes to his body. This was similar to what had happened on the Crimson Arena, and now Gaofeng understood that at that time he was actually gaining a bloodline. That bloodline, however, was the Blood God's demonic bloodline, one which could be considered as nothing in comparison to the Primordial Yin-Yang Beast's bloodline.

The effects of the bloodline upon Gaofeng's body became increasingly pronounced, as he gained the attributes of the Primordial Yin-Yang Beast. First, his nails which had already turned into claws became far sharper, carrying with them a seemingly completely innate ability to tear apart even space itself. Then, he began growing black and white scales over his already sturdy skin. As these scales were growing, a hard point appeared on his head, then another, and then one more.

Horns had actually begun growing on his head. This would definitely change his appearance greatly, but Gaofeng didn't care as long has he was gaining power. What did it matter how he looked when he was at the peak of all beings? No one would dare ridicule him at that point, no matter how hideous he looked. Not to mention that these traits he was gaining actually added a kind of dominating demonic charm to his looks rather than presenting him as hideous.
