Chapter 7: I'm not a pet

Time skip~

"Wake up wolf." I heard Neo's voice tearing me from my nap. I yawned looking up to see the open door on the other side. Getting up slowly I walked over the broken glass. It didn't hurt because my paws were tough.

"Ugh...now my car is full of glass and blood, thanks a lot." He said sarcastically. I just huffed at that and looked around.

"Where's this??" I asked ignoring his last statement completely. After looking around I looked at him,

"My house." He said simply, I furrowed my eyebrows.

"YOUR HOUSE?!" I repeated but in a louder and questionable tone.

"That's what I said, what are you a parrot?" He said and gave me a dirty look, I gave one back. I started to look around again taking in the view and what surrounded the house. Hearing Neo walk over to me, he grabbed the collar and dragged me inside. I growled trying to bite his hand away but he deliberately grabbed me where I couldn't reach him.

He let go of me while he took his shoes off. I continued to walk past the staircase and into a huge open room, on the right was a modern kitchen with a breakfast bar, Infront of it near the windows was a huge dining table, finally on the left-hand side of the room was a lounge area with a huge TV.

Although it wasn't as big as the old ladies house, it looked just as expensive. The only difference between the two was that Neo's house seemed very high tech and modern, whereas the old ladies house was very traditional and vintage.

"You live alone?" I asked looking around. I walked over to the big windows curious as it looks like he had an invisible wall. But this invisible wall opened up to his back garden. Which was very big just like the old ladies garden. I looked over at Neo who had already sat down on his couch, next to him were my clothes. I walked back over.

"Yeah I did, but not now." He looked over at me and unhooked the lead, I waited for him to take the collar off too, but he didn't.

"I'm not living with you, you can think again! And take this collar off me!" I commanded. I was taken by surprise as he leaned forward VERY close to my face. But it wasn't what I expected,

"You will stay here. And I don't know if you just a dumb wolf or what, but don't go breaking my car again. You got that." He spoke forcefully pushing me out of the way.

He disappeared for a few minutes and then came back with some sort of kit. He put it next to him on the sofa and opened it. There were lots of bandages and medical stuff. He searched through it all until he found the tweezers, cleaning ointment, cotton wool balls and a bandage. He then grabbed my fur and pulled me to sit in front of him.

Neo was picking out shares of glass in my neck. He wasn't very gentle though, but I felt he was doing it deliberately. It didn't bother me though.

Well... not until he put a cotton wool ball, full with cleaning ointment, onto one of my deeper cuts. Out of the sudden shock, I bit him. Suddenly, realising what I had done at the taste of his blood, I froze. But so did my wolf, somehow I had shocked myself that much that I had turned back human.

I didn't notice until I spoke up,

"I'm sorry, please don't be--" I looked down at myself seeing skin instead of fur. There was a slight pause until my brain had processed what had happened and I could finally take action.

"... DON'T LOOK!!" I shouted. Frantically covering his eyes.

I had underwear on so it's not like could have seen that much... No! That's TOO much for someone like him. Seeing a blanket on the back of the sofa I stood up and grabbed it. Finally wrapping it around myself. Once I was satisfied I took my hand away from his eyes and sat back on the floor. I looked up and glared at him.

" Don't worry, I didn't see anything. I didn't want to." He said unnecessarily, probably trying to get a reaction out of me.

I opened my mouth about to fight back but quickly closed it again in frustration, he chuckled at my expression. Deciding to ignore him, I took a clean wool ball and opened the bottle of cleaning liquid. With help from my teeth to get the cap loose, I then carefully tipped it so the wool was covered. Grabbing his hand, I looked for the bite mark and cleaned it.

"What are you doing?" He asked, I looked up and squinted my eyes slightly,

"Oh, do you want to get an infection?" I asked and stopped cleaning his wound.

"And you called me the dumb one." I mumbled, loud enough for him to hear. Once he didn't say anything else I continued what I was doing.

Once I was finished I put the wool balls in the nearest bin, when I came back I put the lid back on the bottle.

"Umm...I hope you don't mind the teeth marks on the lid." I said and put it back in the kit. At least he knows.

"I don't care. Turn around." He said in a monotone voice.

Nearly forgetting about my wounds, I nodded and turned back around.

" Just so you know I can still bite you on this form." I said with a small grin he just nodded, thankfully he wasn't as rough and once it was clean he wrapped a bandage around my neck, to stop the deep cuts from getting infected. Once it was done he then made sure my wrist bandage was tight enough.

"Oh! So you did pay attention to the vet? You have a certain look and it's hard to read... so I thought you ignored him." I said thinking out loud, but then I continued.

"What's on your mind?" I suddenly asked him, for once I saw a hint of surprise in his eyes.

"None of your business." He said coldly. I rolled my eyes. Suddenly remembering the collar around my neck I went to grab it, quickly finding the buckle. Pain. My fingers started to burn. Jumping from the unexpected pain, I blew on my hands.

"...YOU COULD HAVE TOLD ME IT WAS SILVER?!" I shouted looking at him with anger.

"You didn't ask." He said simply. I frowned, getting up I searched for a sink, luckily it wasn't hard to find since the living room and kitchen were joined. Rinsing my hands under the water I felt them healing already. After a few seconds, I couldn't feel any pain, so I took them out from the water. Looking closely I didn't see burn marks either.

Walking back after drying my hands, I took my clothes from the seat next to him I walked away.

"Where are you going?" He shouted to me.

"I'm not just going to stay in this blanket, I'm finding a bathroom." I growled, stomping away from him.

It didn't take me long to find the upstairs toilet. Once I had gotten changed, I looked in the mirror to see the collar, it was baggy but not that baggy to slip over my head. What I found strange was on the outer side of the collar, silver studs were going around the whole thing. I tried to unbuckle the collar without touching the silver but the leaver was too thick and stiff. It could be worse, at least the silver wasn't on the inside of the collar.
