Time skip to the next day~
Waking up in lots of pain I sighed. All I remember was coming in last night and collapsing onto the rug in the living room. I couldn't open my eyes, but I was still awake since I could feel Neo wiping the blood off my fur with a warm cloth and soap. After 20 minutes he left.
Right now I was starving and wondering how the hell I was going to get to college. I shouldn't have been so reckless yesterday. Slowly sitting up I heard Neo walking down the stairs at the same time. When he turned to face me my eyes widened. He only had a towel around the lower part of his body, while drying his hair with another.
"DON'T JUST COME DOWN HERE LIKE THAT?!?!" I shouted looking away, good job I was in wolf form because my face would be bright red right now. I took silent deep breaths to calm down.
"Why? It's my house." He said simply but I could hear him walking closer.
"We have under 2 hours before we have to leave. You can have a shower too if you want." He said. Unexpected his offer, I turned my head around quickly.
"Really?!" I asked happily, wagging my tail, he just nodded.
"Thanks! Oh, before I go, can I have a painkiller?" I said. For the first time, my tone was cheerful but it didn't last very long.
"Yeh, but it's an injection." He said going over to the counter, he picked up the box and walked back over to me. I didn't make eye contact with him or his body.
I didn't know what an injection was, but when I saw it, a knot of uncomfortable feeling started to build on my stomach.
I nodded with a sigh to say it was okay, when I knew he was getting it ready, I covered my eyes with my other paw. I heard Neo chuckle but I was too busy trying to relax and stopping myself from tensing up.
"Don't move." He warned, I just hummed in agreement. Once I felt the scratch on my arm, my body told me to move. I tried my best not to but thankfully Neo had grabbed my paw so I couldn't move that much. It was soon over but the stinging sensation wasn't. I growled under my breath.
"Who knew a wolf would be so scared of a little needle." He said with a smirk, I looked at him and huffed.
"Who said I was scared. It just hurts." I argued back getting up I was about to walk away.
"Oh change into these when you're done." He called me back. Taking the needle he put it back in the box to throw away.
Standing in front of him he put the box down next to him and swapped the object with a new set of clothing.
"Thanks..." I mumbled and gently taking the clothes from him.
Walking off up the stairs with the clothes in my mouth. I nudged the door open and then closed it again. Putting the items on the counter attached to the sink, I changed into my human form. I then turned on the shower and took the bandages off from my neck and my wrist, while waiting for the water to warm up.
What I liked about Neo's shower was that half of it was a wet room then the other half had a fancy bath that looked like it could hold 3-4 people. Though, I don't know why you would need one so big when his house only has two bedrooms.
Once I was done, I got out and dried myself off on a clean towel. Soon changing into the new clothes which were: ripped blue shorts, a baggy white shirt that was designed to rest on the edge of your shoulders and white shoes that had "Converse" written at the back. Oh yeah and that collar.
Thankfully the design made it look like it was some sort of fashion chocker. Looking up at my face in the mirror I sighed, I looked like a mess. Taking the hairbrush that had been left on the side along with a hairdryer, I straightened my hair. The old lady showed me a few tricks on what to do with my hair when I didn't have any hair products, this was one of the options.
Once I was happy, I put my towel in the washing basket. Opening the door I walked out and continued to walk down the stairs with a big yawn. I noticed that Neo wasn't around so I guessed he must have gone back up to change into some proper clothes. I started to yawn again but I wasn't sure why, I slept well last night, but I was really tired. More than usual...
I started to make my way to the living room but I didn't make it to the sofa, as I gave up and lay face down on the cool floor. A few minutes later I heard footsteps coming down and suddenly stop behind me.
"Are you dead?" He asked, I just groaned into the floor to let him know I wasn't. He continued to answer his own question and ask me another,
"I guess not then, what's wrong?"
I knew what was wrong it was that time of mouth.
"It's a full moon tonight, so I'm starting to feel my symptoms. It's different for each wolf. It's like... getting drunk? That's what my father said, he told me about certain drinks humans use to make them feel the effects of the moon even when it's not that time of the month." I tried to explain, at this point he had already walked over to me. I didn't know what he was doing until I felt his hand hook under the rim of my shorts. Using it like some sort of harness.
I narrowed my eyes,
"I thought you said I was heavy?" I said while trying to put my feet back on the ground so I could catch myself, I was ready for him to drop me but he placed me down gently instead.
"You are, everyone is somewhat heavy." He simply said as he walked away to the kitchen. I followed.
"Oh, so your just weak then?" I asked sitting down on a high stool. He glared at me before walking towards the table that separated us.
"No. Everyone weighs something, I wouldn't lie and say you were light. A feather is light, are you a feather?" He asked cockily, leaning in closer to me from across the narrow table.
Leaning closer to his face too I said,
"No I don't, sorry I mistaken you as "weak" but any other guy wouldn't have called a girl heavy." We then had a small staring contest, I waited until he moved his face away and for his smart-ass-comeback.
"What do you know about what "other guys" would say, wolf?" He said ending with a slightly patronising tone. He then turned around to put a few pieces of bread into a machine. Curious, I hopped off the stool and went to look at it. I never saw what was in a kitchen, since the old lady had a chef.
"Wild and rude are not the same thing. The males in our pack have manners, I thought it would be the same here." I said simply, looking at the machine.
"What's this?" I asked changing the topic. He raised an eyebrow,
"A toaster." He simply answered. I nodded then tilted my head trying to look at the bread inside it, Neo's hand pressed against my forehead punching me back.
"Don't do that, the toast pops up." He warned me. I didn't know what he meant at first, so I just watched the toaster from where I stood.
When the toast was done, it made a pop sound and the top of the toast was now visible. I would be lying if I said I didn't jump but it was only my head that moved. I then continued asking what other machines were around the kitchen, I soon learned the titles of the microwave and fridge and what they do.
"So how come you didn't know about kitchens?" He asked, now sat down at the narrow table, eating a piece of toast with jam on. I turned to him, I hesitated but I decided anyway to tell him the truth.
"Well before I was living with an elderly lady, who was also a werewolf but decided to live as a human because she fell in love with one. But he died and in his will, he wrote that she would get all his money and his house. Since the house is so big she has maids, gardeners, a butler and a chef. So there are still things I don't know about because there was no need for me to know." As I finished explaining, I reached over the table and took the second piece of toast from his plate.
I sniffed the jam on top of the toast, of course, I heard of this stuff before, it was strawberries mushed up. But I had never tried it on toast. I took a bite. My eyes light up,
"Wow, that's not bad!" I said in surprise.
"That was for me." He said with an annoyed stare. I glared back at him and took another bite.
"Well not anymore," I spoke with my mouth full and ran off to the sofa. I heard him sigh loudly, getting up he took out a bottle of water and some sort of breakfast biscuit.
"Let's go, get your bag and jacket." He commanded. Finishing the piece of toast, I licked my fingers clean and made sure there were no crumbs around my mouth and on my clothes. Picking up my stuff along the way. He opened the door letting us both out and then locked it again.
I turned around to his car. Seeing the mess I made of his back window, I felt guilty. He stood next to me with both hands in his pocket also staring at the mess, before exhaling loudly.
"Come on, we'll just use another car." He said casually, I nearly snapped my neck from turning so quickly. Here I was feeling guilty while this ass has another car?!?
Just as I was about to cause another argument, he took out his buried hand from his pocket and grabbed hold of my arm. Dragging me around to the side of the house he took out his free hand and placed his finger on a device attached to the wall. There was a pause before a massive door started to open.
"What's this??" I asked peeping my head around him to get a better look., he looked down at me before answering,
"A garage... where I keep my other cars." I raised my eyebrows at his comment, aren't cars expensive?
Either way, I nodded my head and once the big door was up, we walked to another car which was much nicer-looking than his other one. I say that because it was red.
"I don't know why you were so upset, I can tell this car is way better than the other one," I said and he smirked.
"Glad you like it." He said opening the passenger door, I climbed in sinking into the luxurious seat. Letting him shut the door behind me, he then walked around to the driver's side getting in himself. Starting up the car and driving out.
"You sure a "pet" can sit in the front?" I asked with an eye roll, emphasizing my hate and stupidity about this whole situation. Now on the road, I watched the trees pass by us from my window.
"Yeah, I think you'll behave better today." He said with a grin but I laughed at that,
"You won't be saying that later. Anyway, I was thinking I should go back to the old ladies house after college. I don't know exactly what will...happen.. tonight... So it would just be easier if-" I spoke a bit anxiously before being cut off.
"It's fine. I can handle it. Also, tell me where that old hag lives later. We should get your stuff." He spoke with a cold tone and a poor choice of words. Old hag?!? Is he serious?!
"Why should I? I don't want to live with you." I said honestly. Turning my attention back in front of me, I crossed my arms.
"Then you should have run away last night. But instead, you said you would stay." He simply said, recalling the events last night. He had a point. I sighed,
"...Then... can't I just live with you after the full moon?" I asked glancing up at him.
He quickly caught my stare, turning his head back onto the road a smirk tugged at the corner of his mouth,
"No. And anyway you would only be having it next month." He reasoned, in return I let all the air escape my lungs
"Fine, I'll tell you after college," I said now slouching in the seat, I looked out of the window again. Today was going to be another long day.
