Kevin let go of the mug in his hand. It fell to the ground shattering into a thousand pieces. He looked at the video over and over again before finally looking at Sally. "How do we get her to stop?" Kevin asked. "I don't know for now we will have to wait for the storm out. It's too dangerous to even travel Kevin but I do wish Zara was here. She would know how to deal with this situation," Sally said.
"Sally's daughter came into the control room. "Mom there are more videos going up online. Look at this one, they are saying John and Zara are okay and working with their teams. Mia is lying about being their daughter and even more. They say Mike is behind the elemental hunters and not Zack. How is Mia sepose to know who to trust?"
Sally and Kevin looked at the video online and she sat on the chair. "I should have insisted that she comes with us," Sally said. "Do not beat yourself up over this Sally. It's not your fault," Kevin siad. "Yes it is, if only I told Mike how strong she really is but I promised John I wouldn't tell. You see Mia has the same power you and your brother has. The ability to use super elementals and Mia's element is hard to hide its the storm ability," Sally said.
"You know about the super elements?" Kevin asked.
"Yes, there are five levels of elementals. One to three is normal powers depending on what skills you have. Four is rare elementals like having all elements for example but then you have the highest level. Elementals with the power to draw energy from around them. They can force lava to change direction or create a superstorm like Mia. I told John about Mia but he said to never tell anyone, not even Zara," Sally said.
Kevin looked at Sally and asked, "Zara doesn't know Mia is a mega Elementalist like her father and me?" Kevin asked. "No, but as you suspected even Zara was worried Mia might be a mega user, so she to asked me to check. I suspected the same results but the results were different this time. Kevin Mia has two mega skills. Her storm ability is weak compared to her most powerfull skill," Sally siad.
"What is it, Sally?" Kevin asked. "It's a mega skill called to create," Sally said. "I thought it was a myth," Kevin asked.
"It's what everyone was told to prevent people from trying to use the power for themselves. You see Zara has this same mega skill and Mia has had it since birth. Zara told John about it and well you know your brother. He took the family into hiding. Zara told me that if anyone ever doughts Mia as her daughter the creative skill is proof since it can only be passed down from parent to child. Not everyone is guaranteed to have it but those that do is very lucky," Sally said.
"That luck is looking like pure stupidity. How did they think Mia was going to handle this world?" Kevin asked. "I dont know but John siad raising her in hiding was for the best. If they are working on it maybe it explains the different locations they lived in but I dont know why," Sally siad.
Kevin looked at the computer screen in the control room. There is one way to find out if they are okay and that is to look for them but first we need to calm her down before someone gets killed," Kevin siad. Sally tried to phone Mia's phone but she wasn't answering. "Sally keeps trying, she will have to answer it sooner or later," Kevin ordered.
Sally kept phoning but with the mega-storm Mia created. But it soon became clear that it was impossible to phone Mia. Back at the cabin, Mia was sitting on the floor trying to make sense of everything that has happend. She realised at that moment that she has been locking away everything that has happend and a man threatening her like that was the last push.
Looking around the dark cabin Mia realised she needed to light the fire and get the generator started. With the storm, she was most likely going to be stuck up here for days if not months. Walking down to the generator room Mia started the generator and checked if there was any food in the basement to her surprised the basement was full of food and wood for the fireplace. Mia took food and wood upstairs started the fire and prepared something to eat for herself.
She walked around the house and found her old bedroom. She was surprised that it has remained in the same condition when her family had left the cabin. She found her parents had kept extra art supplies for her and she was surprised to find a few sets of paints and books that had instructions teaching her how to paint. With the storm raging outside Mia decided to give the painting a chance. She opened the books set up a canvas on an easel in front of the fire.
Looking at the book she decided to try and paint a flower vase with flowers in them. She used charcoal to make a rough outline of the picture and following the instructions she started to paint her picture. She was using acrylic paint and found the fire burning and found it didn't take long to dry.
For the next few days, Mia spends time going through her parent's things and sorting out her old stuff. She drew pictures and painted memories. Then one morning Mia woke up and the storm finally calmed down. Her phone was ringing and she was excited to see it was Sally calling her.
Mia: "Hello Sally how are you?"
Sally: "Good, are you okay? Tell me you weren't in the middel of that storm?"
Mia: "I was actually, I am staying at one of dad's old cabins. I really needed the time to think."
Sally: "Did you start the storm?"
Mia: "Yes, Sally I did. I kept quiet and didn't talk about things. I kept it inside and I wasn't allowing myself to work through what has happend. Sally with what they told me. With what has happend I locked it away and the closet just blew open I geuss. I need this time to be alone and think. Because it's clear that I will not be able to stay with Clover and I need a plan."
Sally: "I understand that but do you know how dangerous this storm is. People could have died you will be very lucky if no one died and what's more the government now knows there is another mega element out there."
Mia: "What does it matter Sally? I will always be judged by others. No one believes they are my parents and I just could not handle it anymore."
Sally drew a deep breath and looked at Kevin who came into the room. "I managed to get a hold of Mia. The storm was her doing. Kept everything in until it just exploded," Sally said. "What is she saying, Sally?" Kevin asked. "That she needed the time they think. One thing seems to be clear she can not join any organization as long as this cloud called Clover is hanging over our heads and now the government knows about a new user. Who knows what they will do to her when they find her?" Sally said.
"What is her plans for now?" Kevin asked. "I was just about to ask her," Sally replied.
Sally: "What are you planning on doing now that everyone knows there's another mega user?"
Mia: "I started painting, I dont know maybe I will try and see if I can sell my art. I mean I do need money to live on. At least the cabin has some food and supplies i should be okay for now."
Sally: "When did you start painting?"
Mia: "During the storm, mom seems to have bought some for me. I think she wanted to teach me but never got to it,"
Sally: "I would love to see your paintings but I think it would be better if you stay with me for a while,"
Mia: "No that won't do, I dont want to be threatened anymore. Maybe it should go to the government and ask if they need my power?"
Sally: "That is the worst idea you have had so far."
Mia: "What do you suppose I do? I cant come even close to one of my family members without getting into trouble?"
Sally: "Selling your art seems like a better idea than working for the government."
Kevin raised an eyebrow and asked, "she want to work for the government?" Sally looked at Kevin and siad, "only because you and Zara's brothers have too many skeletons following you."
Kevin took the phone from Sally and said, "Mia listen to me, whatever you do you can not go too far from us. I will admit our situation has put you in a difficult position but I will prefer you stay close to us," Kevin said.
"You're not the one they are threatening, I am?" Mia said and ended the call right there and then.
