More precisely, it took five days before they saw each other again. During this time, they found Zoro - they barely managed to intercept him, the green-headed bastard had already set sail from the island on a stranger ship, to buy various things, and change all the interior decoration of the ship. Kaya, of course, is a rich girl, but even she never had the opportunity to throw hundreds of millions of bellies down the drain without any hesitation. However, this is exactly what Luffy did when he set about arranging the ship.
First, so to speak, flew overboard ... frankly, literally everything flew. Only the bathroom remained intact, and without that it was made above all praise, the water pump, and the kitchen. Everything else turned out to be sent straight to the trash heap - or into the hands of those who realized in time and did not miss their chance. Sofas, beds, hammocks, bookcases, and even all weapons, including guns. Especially guns. Because almost any long-range attack by Johnny or Zoro was several times superior to a cannon shot in all respects.
When everything old was thrown away, the ship began to be equipped with everything new.
So, first of all, Luffy took on the kitchen, living room and steering room. Or, to be more precise, the workers hired by the guy undertook all this, under his leadership. In the place where the refrigerator, dining table and beer counters were located, a longer table was installed, around which were mounted comfortable, foam-rubber and covered with leather benches and one massive chair at the head of the table. Two massive, brand-new refrigerators moved to the far right corner of the door, and next to them was a sofa and a low table. The steering wheel has been redesigned into a more comfortable and reliable steering wheel.
Then it was the turn of the common room.
Where there used to be a carpet, there was a sofa and hammocks hung, three wide, bunk beds were installed, due to which the volume of the room was immediately half full. Then Nami's bed was installed, reducing the volume of the room even more. The bed was single, but it was difficult to call it small. Another sofa, previously located in the room, has been replaced with a new and more comfortable one, like the round table in front of it. The closet in the corner suffered the same fate - the old one was replaced by a new and more spacious one. Shelves were fixed next to the cabinet so that barrels of water could be placed all the way to the ceiling.
The former warehouse and armory did not undergo any special changes. Rather, after all the weapons were thrown from the ship, only one warehouse remained from the warehouse and the armory, only now it is noticeably more spacious. However, it remained spacious exactly until the moment when it was crammed with various supplies to the very ceiling. Another armory, located along with the anchor room, suffered the same fate. In other words, the anchor room remained, and the warehouse took the place of the armory. True, this warehouse was supposed to store all available money, as well as things that the family managed to save from the drowned "Thing".
The last thing Luffy did was to set up his cabin.
A quarter of the cabin on the move was occupied by a massive bed, not just a double bed, but rather a four-bed one. In place of the bar, two large, floor-to-ceiling cabinets were installed. One for clothes, the other for books. The table was replaced by a more imposing table, and the chair was replaced by a comfortable chair. A deep pile carpet was laid on the floor.
Also, among other things, the ship was literally licked from top to bottom. Any blots were immediately removed, and the accumulated dirt was mercilessly destroyed. Everything about everything, given the speed of execution and the constant desire to own only the best, took a little more than a hundred million, while the ship itself could hardly have been sold for more than twenty.
The finishing touch was the purchase of new sails, matte black, on which a couple of hired artists painted a huge pirate flag - a skull with crossbones, and a straw hat. A pirate flag was also raised on two flagpoles.
- I can't believe it finally happened, - Zoro said first, when all the work on the Going Mary was completed and the renewed ship appeared before their family in all its splendor. - Frankly speaking, I have already begun to doubt that we will ever raise the pirate flag at all.
- We understand you perfectly, - Johnny nodded thoughtfully, speaking both for himself and for Yosaku. - We spent less time with Luffy than you did, and we still had similar thoughts on several occasions.
- And I have already begun to lose hope that we someday will have our own ship, - in turn admitted Nami.
- How impatient and distrustful you all are, however, - Luffy folded his hands on his chest. - Everything has its time. And our time has come ... or almost.
- Almost?! - there and then a chorus of voices sounded.
- What do you mean almost ?! - Zoro demanded an immediate explanation.
- Don't worry so much, I mean we still need to pick up Usopp and Sanji.
The rest of the family took a deep breath.
- As for Usopp, I understand, - Yosaku spoke up a little later, after they all boarded the Mary, - but what are you going to do with Sanji? He's been refusing your offer for two years now.
- Yeah, of course, he refuses, - Luffy snorted disdainfully. - No matter how hard he tries to brush it off, he has been a member of our family for two years now. Previously, I did not really insist because he is a cook and it is better for him to improve his skills under the guidance of old Zeff than to engage in murder with us, but now his time is up. It's time for us to go to the Grand Line, so he has no choice but to come with us. And where else will he look for this All Blue, except on the Grand Line?
- And yet, what will you do if he sticks to his "No"? - supported his friend Johnny. - You know yourself that Sanji can be pretty stubborn when he wants to.
- Ttc ... where is he going to get off the ship in the middle of the sea? Especially if it's the Grand Line Sea?
- Are you seriously going to kidnap him if he refuses? - Nami stared at him.
- If this idiot himself cannot realize the obvious thing for all of us, then you will have to force him to realize it.
- By kidnapping ?!
- Nami, I know for a fact that Sanji has told you about his dream many times. Tell me honestly, do you really believe that a person who can talk about their dreams with such passion doesn't want to go on a trip?
Putting it this way ... Nami just couldn't help but admit that Luffy was right. Again. Sanji had indeed always talked about his dream with such passion that the girl had not the slightest doubt that, somewhere in his heart, he desperately wanted to go to the Grand Line. And he wants to go immediately, and not "sometime later." But a person is not always able to consciously accept what he subconsciously knows for a long time. Nami experienced this firsthand, so she knew exactly what she was talking about. In general, in any other case, kidnapping would probably be a stupid idea, but in the case of Sanji, such a decision could be absolutely justified.
Fortunately, there were no such problems with Usopp.
- Do you want me to go with you? !! - The long-nosed guy exclaimed in shock, as soon as Luffy voiced his proposal.
It took place at Usopp's house, at his kitchen table, where all the honest company showed up the very first thing, after pushing most of their belongings saved from "Thing" around the ship. They could well have shoved everything, but a small part, Luffy, for some reason, ordered not to touch.
- Sure! - Luffy confirmed happily. - We all were able to make sure of your courage and reliability, and only such we take to our family.
- Family? - Usopp tilted his head in bewilderment.
- We don't see ourselves as an ordinary team. - Instead of Luffy, Zoro began to explain. - You can leave the team, but the family is forever. In this life, you can decide anything for yourself, except who your family is by blood. The principle is practically the same here. Even if our paths diverge sometime in the future, the family will remain family forever, so think carefully about Luffy's proposal. If you decide to join our family, it will be forever. For the rest of your life, and there will be no way back.
It was obvious that Usopp was hooked. In fact, this is why Luffy often preferred Zoro to explain such things. Where Luffy himself had to put in real effort - albeit not too much - to look imposing, Zoro inspired with his looks. In addition, given his reputation, the words of such a person simply could not be deafened ... unless, of course, you are one of the members of the Straw Hat family. Zoro may have inspired even among his family, but a family is a family.
- And… and who will I be if I agree? Usopp asked uncertainly after a while.
Zoro bowed his head slightly and looked inquiringly at Luffy.
- As I understand, you are a shooter? - before answering, he asked.
- The best! There is no one on the island who can match me in slingshot shooting! - Usopp said proudly, sticking his chest out.
Everything was fine, but his mention of the slingshot ...
- So, you will be our gunner! - delivered his verdict Luffy, prudently keeping silent about the fact that not a single cannon was left on their refurbished ship.
- Not the captain? - Usopp wilted.
- You can be the captain if you want,- Luffy said generously.
- Really?!
- Sure! Why should I lie? Defeat Zoro and captain's post is yours.
