?!

"What in the damn hell?" Roran found himself with ragged clothes, falling nearly to tatters, in front of a humongous collection of ancient buildings. It has mostly collapsed, but some small structures remained intact.

[Ultimate Divine Emperor Assistance System activated...]

The ridiculous name of the system mystified Roran. He tried to discover the ruins. It was settled on a never-ending mountain range, among the highest peak. The total area was maybe a few kilometers squared, and the buildings were leaned on the side, with the biggest and most intact one directly on the summit. Suddenly, just as Roran was about to sit down and take a rest, he realized that back on Earth, no one could breathe normally at such a high altitude! It was to say that no one could have survived with no oxygen. Just as Roran was thinking about that, the system's voice appeared in his head again.

[Quest assigned to Rifter (Find a squire to help you build your empire!)]

[Automatically using Basic Teleportation Pack]

[Granting Rifter a gold coin]

[Teleporting Rifter to The Cave of The Bandits]

"What in HELL?! System, interrupt teleportation!" Roran exclaimed.

[Mandatory quest in execution. Command unviable. Continue teleportation.]

Roran found himself inside a dark cave. It was like the mouth of a python, inescapable and suffocating. The only source of light was the small torch on the left wall.

"Who dares to enter The Cave of The Bandits!" a furious male voice called out.

Roran was scared out of his wits, but he said, "Just an honest man who wants a job."

"Honest men are not welcome here. Get out before I smash your head to pieces!"

"Look, I have one gold coin here. Just don't kill me, give me a squire, and I'll get out of here, all right?"

The voice was agitated and excited when it spoke. A gold coin! It was ten thousand bronze coins and 100 silver. The man only usually gets 8 coppers a day robbing, and a gold coin could last him months! "Of course, of course, hey Hedrick, bring the stupid young boy we captured a few days ago!"

Roran hid a smile when he uncovered the bandit leader's ignorance. He replied, "I won't go anywhere"

However, just then, the bandit named Hedrick, and the squire came out. The young boy was naked, bound by coiling ropes. The ropes glistened and appeared like a sleeping dragon. The bandit was poorly dressed, but with a gleaming sword in hand, definitely intimidating. The bandit put together a crooked smile, and with a heavy shove, sent the squire straight at Roran. Then he turned and went away. Roran grabbed the squire and inquired in his mind to the system, "Can I get, like a teleportation to the mountain or something? At least some clothes for the squire?"

[Processing Rifter request. Request passed. Teleporting Rifter and Subordinate #1 to Ruins of Azeroth, Mount Scrycia. Transporting clothes to Inventory.]

"Okay okay. Um... put the clothes in my hand?" Roran attempted to retrieve the set of clothes from his Inventory, just like those games.

As if by magic, the clothes appeared in Roran's hand. Simultaneously, both of them were teleported to the ruins, or in the words of the system, Ruins of Azeroth. Roran chucked the clothes to the squire and untied the squire's ropes. As he took them off, Roran felt a sense of complete smoothness coming from the rope. It was also abnormally heavy. Roran's eyes glistened at this. He could probably get some money off this.

[Does the Rifter wish to sell it inside the System Shop?]

[Does the Rifter want to transform it into a weapon?]

"Uh... can I split the rope in half and do both actions?" Roran said.

[Of course. This will cause an income of 2 silvers and a Dragon Whip]

[Displaying Dragon Whip statistics]

A screen appeared in front of Roran.

Some things confused Roran "What are the ranks, in order from lowest to highest? What do the elements mean?"

[The ranks are: Bronze, Iron, Silver, Gold, Diamond, Platinum, Saint, Divine. Levels above Divine are not available for the Rifter currently.]

[The elements are: Steel, Wood, Water, Fire, Earth, Light, Shadow, Time, Space, Life, and Death]

"Can I see the System Shop?"

[Opening System Shop]

Roran saw incredible artifacts and treasures fill up his sight. They ranked all the way from Bronze to Divine. Roran swallowed difficultly. There was a blood-red sword, at gold rank, and it was two silvers. Roran instantly said, "Buy that one, the Demon's Embrace."

The sword appeared straight into Roran's hand. Then Roran exited the shop and found the squire looking at him as if he was a monster. Roran scratched his head awkwardly. He forgot the squire was even there.
