Kingdom of Ruins

The squire's mind was a mess. He'd just seen a sword come out of nowhere, and also the guy talking to an imaginary existence.


Roran scratched his head awkwardly and asked the system if it could erase the memory from the squire's mind.

The squire's expression turned blank for a moment and then went back to normal. Roran, to make sure it worked, said, "Where did I take the sword out of?"


Then Roran said to the system, "Can you like stop time when we are talking or something?"


Then he turned back to the squire "Okay, so I'm going to hand you this whip, and use it as a weapon. Help me explore the ruins, and see if you can find something."


Roran took out the Dragon Whip from his bag and gave it to the squire. The squire's eyes shone at seeing a Silver ranked item. Even the knight that he used to work for used Iron ranked ones.


Then a loud roar came from the direction of the buildings. A colossal creature sprang out from one of the small huts. It was slime green, its whole body covered with spikes, its teeth as long as a human arm. It was leopard-like; the figure reaching the two people in a flash. The squire peed his pants.


[A very agile creature. The spikes around it pose a very large threat to any predator or prey. The teeth are from its ancestor, the Sabertooth Lion. This species usually lives in mountains with an altitude of over 10000 meters. Iron]


Roran was surprised at this description. The system seemed to be able to detect adversaries and their stats, while also providing a detailed explanation.


Roran then realized that he hasn't seen his own stats yet. He asked the system.


The leopard ran up, while Roran slashed at its side. He lopped off a spike, and grabbing it, stabbed it straight inside. Then Roran followed up with his sword, lunging and running the monster through. The monster screeched violently, jerked, and then died.
