Chapter 7

Years passed since Avery disappeared into the Reaper's rift to get Yolunda's soul, and the world haven't recovered from the invasion of demons. But, with help of Savari and the leadership of Sydney, the reconstruction process has been going smoothly.

"Mother, why can't I just run over to Dad's to get his help. I sure he knows more about my sudden burst of new powers." Dante said as he sat on an examination table.

"I'm sure your right, but I don't trust your father enough to ask him something that'll affect you." Sydney replied.

"Why don't you trust dad anymore?"

"Because, your father lied about his people and the reason why he's here!" Sydney yelled.

Dante looked at his mother and saw the anger in her eyes. But, he also saw a broken woman who lives in constant fear.

"Where did you get that information from?"

Sydney has a flashback to right after Avery disappeared into the rift. Standing over Yolunda's cold body, Sydney saw the senator slowing dying after Hati slashed his neck with her claws. Suddenly, she hears a person sighing.

"The idiot actually fell for that simple trap I placed on the computer system. And, he also made an unforgivable choice. He deserves to rot where he's going. But, that'll be too easy to let him off." Mai said as she waved her hand across his body, bringing him back to life, but not healing his wounds. "Hati, Skoll, Fenrir, take him and feed him to the Atlantean Snakes."

"Yes," the wolves said, simultaneously.

"I'm sorry, Yolunda. I should've sent Avery sooner." Mai thought to herself. "I hope you don't mind the judgement I gave the Senator, Director Satin. But he killed a member of our family, and we like to handle that crime personally. Anyways, I need you to deliver this message to your husband as soon as you see him."

"O-okay,"

"Tell him, I know that the Omegians are on their way to the earth to conquer. However, he and the others should leave the earth alone. Unless they want to incur the wrath of the Lucrada clan's newest member, Avery A. Lucrada. This is your only warning leave and never come back." Mai said coldly, radiating an overwhelming aura.

"MOM!" Dante yelled.

"What! What's wrong?" Sydney asked, as she snapped out of her flashback.

Dante pointed to the window. Sydney looked over to the window and saw Avery waving at her. Rushing to open window, Sydney cried out to her daughter.

"Jeez, mother. You're acting like I been gone for decades." Avery said.

"Five years! That's too long without knowing anything. For all I know you could've died in a explosion on a foreign planet, and I wouldn't even know."

"Mom, I told you already. I'm immortal. I can't die no matter how they try."

"They? Who's they?" Sydney said, worriedly.

"No one important. Now, I came here to get in touch with my family after so long. Can't I get at least a hug before you question me?" Avery said as she opens her arms, waiting for a hug from her mother and brother. They looked at her with confusion, caused by Avery's strange behavior. However, they both ignored that and gave Avery a hug.

However, in coma-like state, Avery sleeps in the empty dark abyss, where the reaper call home.

"What a great soul you have brought us?" A distorted voice said.

"Yes, the soul of a true god, unlike those phonies on earth. Shall we break her like the rest of our souls?" A feminine distorted voice said.

"No, sister, we must use this one to our advantage. She will be an excellent vessel for our God. And he will bring a new age of destruction to the mortal realm."

"That's true, but she must be broken in order for our lord to fuse with her."

Avery, then, woke up. However, she didn't look the same. Her eyes glowed and her hair turned red. "Give her back!" she said with a divine, overwhelming voice. Then, she blasted a hole into the space around her.

"Such power! "

"Yes, the perfect vessel for our god and his almighty powers."

Waving her hand, Avery sensed for Yolunda's soul. "There you are," she said as she pulled a purple flame to her hand. "Let's go home," she said to it, before teleporting away.

Days later, on earth, Sydney and the other Avery were riding in a jet that was salvage from an old Derad base somewhere in northern Canada, where they found much needed supplies and tools to rebuild.

"Isn't it strange for you to ride in a plane?" Sydney asked her daughter.

"Not really, it kind of relaxing not flying everywhere. You know enjoying the trip instead of rushing to my destination." She spoke with a cheerful tone.

Noticing Avery's strange behavior, Sydney looked at Avery with concern. "Hey, Avery, how is Yolunda doing? She gave birth yet?"

"Yeah, she gave birth to a beautiful baby girl."

"Oh, that's strange." Sydney said as she quickly jumped up and pulled her gun on the other Avery. "Yolunda is dead. Now, who are you and what have you done to my daughter?"

"What are you talking about mom? I am your daughter." Avery said as she held up her hands.

"Really, your cover been blown, so you can stop pretending that you're my daughter."

"I don't know what you're talking about, mom. I am your daughter. Can't you recognize me?" Avery said, worriedly.

Sydney fires her gun, shooting Avery in the shoulder. "Next one won't be in the shoulder. Now, tell me what I want to know!" she yells.

Avery, looking sad and disappointed, phased through the side of the jet and flies away into space, holding her injured shoulder.

Meanwhile, Avery, Mai, and Yolunda are standing on desolate planet, that was dying from the damage of its current inhabitants, who were infected by an alien race called Roxians. Roxians were a parasitical species that fed on everything, including one another, to survive and grow stronger.

"Okay, tell me again why we are here?" Yolunda said.

"The inhabitants of this world are going extinct thanks to an alien race called Roxian. We're here to save them by extracting the Roxians from their host and sealing them into an orb." Mai explained.

"Let me guess, I'm going to have create this Roxian orb." Avery said.

"No, you don't have to make the orb. The Roxians are a liquid-like organism. You just need to condense them into one orb as if you were making a planet."

"So that a yes." Avery thought.

"I heard that. Anyway, we need to find the Roxians before they find the last of the survivors."

"So, why didn't we bring Greg and the others along with us?" Yolunda asked.

"Because they'll be a big liability if the Roxians infect them." Mai answered.

"Why?"

"Roxians gains the abilities of the people they infect. If they get a hold of Greg and the others, that will drive the Roxians to head for Earth. And I'd rather not save them from anything else." Avery said.

"How did you know?"

"It's thanks to her connection to the Void that she knows that. She's getting stronger." Mai said.

"You make it sound like a bad thing." Yolunda said.

"No, it's a good thing. A very good thing, but that just means that she's going to need more intense training to learn how to control her powers more accurately."

"Great more training from my sadistic celestial guardian." Avery thought, sarcastically, to herself.

"Really, you think I'm sadistic. You haven't met sadistic until you've train with Raiko or Aeo. They'll make me seem like a savior when you fight them."

"Raiko? Aeo? Who are they?" Avery thought to herself.

Suddenly, the three of them hears screaming in the far distance. Rushing towards it, Avery and Yolunda activate their holobands, equipping their altered super suits.

"Man, I love Jan-gu technology. This suit makes me feel so powerful." Yolunda said as she sped up a little.

"Hey, calm down. Don't go too overboard. You're still recovering from your extended time without your body. Your soul might slip out of your body if you do." Avery warned her.

"You worry too much. I'm perfectly fine. Besides, I know I can count on you to back me up if I need it." Yolunda said as she recklessly flew around Avery.

Slightly annoyed, Avery slowed down time and created a hard-light energy pillar behind Yolunda. Immediately as time returned normal, Yolunda flew into the pillar, knocking her unconscious. But, before she could fall, Avery grabbed and flew her the rest of the way. Arriving at a destroyed city, Avery scans the city for survivors, who were trapped in a building surrounded by the infected. Rushing to the building, Avery split into two and went in different ways. One went to secure Yolunda's body in an empty building while the other one flies into the fight against the infected, who attacked her viciously.

"Okay, I take back everything I thought about these parasites. They have to be the worst thing I dealt." She thought to herself as she pushed back somebody into the crowd.

"Avery, all you have to phase through the infected and the Roxian should come out with your hand." Mai said as she arrives.

"Right, because phasing through someone without killing them is easy to do." Avery said, nervously.

As another infected attacked Avery, she phased her arm through the person's chest, relieving her of the Roxian parasite.

"Good job for your first time." Mai said as she phases through a man's chest.

"Thanks, I work better under pressure." Avery said, sarcastically.

After an hour, Avery and Mai are extracting the Roxian from the last infected person, freeing the town from the Roxian threat. Still having the rest of the planet to fix, Mai gets a notification on her holoband from the moon base.

"Avery, it looks we have a visitor at the base." She says.

"Who is it? Please don't tell me it's my mother?"

"Good guess,"

Avery sighs and says, "I'll be back," before taking off into the sky. Exiting the planet's orbit, Avery thinks of all the reasons why her mother would show up to her home unannounced. As she arrived at her front door, she seen that her mother, Valkyrie, and Spell-Master waiting for her outside, in their spacesuits they received from Amalia.

"What's wrong now?" Avery said.

"Is that any way to talk to your mother? Besides, we came to check in on you since I thought you were captured. Why don't you answer any of my calls?" Sydney said.

"First, my base communications systems and visor is more advanced and secure than anybody could make on Earth. Even, Amalia can't replicate it. It has security protocols against unwanted calls. Secondly, captured? How would I get captured when I'm literally the most powerful being in this universe?" Avery said as she walked in. Sydney and the others followed her.

"Look, Avery, we came up here because there was someone who looked exactly like you came to Sydney and pretended to be you."

"And did horribly, by the looks of it. You shot her in the shoulder. Wonder, what tipped you off." Avery said as she pulled a small screen up in front of her.

"How did you know?" Valkyrie asked.

"I can't explain it. But it's like I can feel everything in the omniverse at once." Avery said.

"Wow, that must be overwhelming… to feel everything in the… wait, Omniverse?" Spell-master said, confused.

"I'll explain later," Avery said as she typed on the screen. "Crap," She thought to herself as she flew away.

"She must know something we don't know." Valkyrie thought to herself.

Flying at speeds close to the speed of light, Avery looked for Alpha 6, the original planet from which Reo showed her.

"Mai, would you happen to know where Alpha 6 is located?" Avery asked as she activated her visor.

"Yeah, but why?" Mai answered, nervously.

"Well, my mother told me that she saw a clone of me pretending to be me. My guess is that the last of the genies, or someone, are back to their old experiments."

"And you're planning on taking them on by yourself." Mai said.

"Well, I would love back up, but I don't think I have the time to wait for Greg and the others to get back from their mission with Anko."

"Alright, Alpha 6 should be five more lightyears in front of you. I'll bring some help later, so be careful." Mai said against her better judgement.

"I'm always careful," Avery said as she changed into her super suit, with slight modifications. Her jacket's sleeves became elbow length, and she wore a pair of gauntlets that her grandfather showed her how to make. These gauntlets were called Nova gauntlets. They helped Avery focus all kind of energies, such as void energy, dimensional energy, spirit energy, etc., until she was able to use it herself.

"Okay, here I come." Avery thought to herself as she took off forward.

Meanwhile back on earth, the unthinkable happened. A squad of Avery's clones floated above every country in the world. Then, large screen in every city on earth. "People of Earth, pay attention. I'm only going to say this once. Avery Satin, you and the greatest heroes on earth have two hours to defeat us. If you can't, we'll destroy this planet and continue our rampage throughout the universe. Oh, and to make sure you take us seriously, we decided to make an example of our power." One of the clones said as she and the other clones looked up to the moon. Then, they all shot the moon with a powerful heat blast, obliterating the moon. "As you can see, we mean business, so don't keep us waiting."

Immediately, the citizens of every country started to panic and run around frantically. The superheroes of every country tried to do their best to reassure people, but with no luck. Then, they were summoned to Central's headquarters, which was set up in every country, to have a holographic meeting.

"What are we going to do?"

"We can't calm the people,"

"The chaos everywhere,"

"We need Avery,"

"We need a plan,"

"What are their weaknesses?"

"Can't we just nuke them?"

The crowds mumbled.

"ENOUGH!" MT. Fear yelled. The silence took over the rooms.

"Now that we all have calm down. We need to come up with a plan to handle Avery. Anyone has any ideas?" Neuron said.

"I don't know. Avery was already a force of nature that we couldn't handle. Not, even her… Family! Can we get a hold of any of her family?" Atomic master said.

"We can't get a hold of none of them. I assume that Avery evacuated her family before she started her war declaration." Neuron said.

"Wait, are you sure it was Avery who made this war declaration? Why would she ask for herself along with us?" Nova asked.

"Maybe, she trying to throw us off? It could be a part of her plan." Neuron said.

"I still don't think this is her. Maybe some kind of clone tech we don't know about." Nova said.

"Clones? Are you serious? I'm the smartest man on earth. There is no way someone could came up with cloning tech before me." Neuron said, pridefully.

"Hey, aren't we wasting time? They only gave us two hours to defeat them. And we're wasting it by sitting here planning." Zeus said.

"Zeus is right. If we want to succeed, then we to attack now while we have the time." BSD said.

"Alright, we leave immediately. I'll prepare a few assault suits for those can't fly. Meanwhile, Nova, you and the others that can fly, distract them if you can. Mystics and Spell-Master, I want you to try to send them away with a banishing spell." Neuron said.

"Right!" everyone yelled before logging out of the meeting leaving two people, Valkyrie and Spell-Master.

"Should we tell them?" Valkyrie asked,

"No, they wouldn't understand, and put it all on Avery again. And we'll need her for the Omegian's invasion. And many more after that."

"Why do I have the feeling that you're leaving out something worse than the Omegians."

"Because I am. But you can tell a single soul about this." Spell-Master said.

Meanwhile, Avery arrives on Alpha 6 to see a horrific scene of blood and corpse everywhere.

"What happened her? Did Reo, Anko, and my grandfather do this when they came? No, this happened more recently. I say about two or three hours ago." Avery said.

Suddenly, images of the Genies rushed passed her, showing her what happened. The genies were working on cloning and implanting Avery's DNA when something went wrong. Avery's DNA was too strong for their subjects and took over their bodies turning them into weaker versions of Avery. However, they were more primal and sought nothing but destruction and battle. They were completely bloodthirsty, causing them to go on a rampage throughout the planet. And, being the weak fighters they are, the Genies didn't stand a chance against them. Upset that, she wasn't able to save the innocent lives, Avery sat there talking to herself.

"Why should I be upset about not saving them? It's not like I knew any of them. I mean my soul did come from this planet. But as a weapon they created. Right, they were going to use me as a weapon of mass destruction. A weapon that didn't have a choice. So, why do I feel this way?"

"Maybe, because subconsciously, you know they were trying to change their way of life." A man said as he walked up behind Avery.

Avery quickly got up and raised her guard against the man. He was a dark skinned, young man wearing a black and white outfit, with three swords on him.

"It's okay, calm down. I'm not your enemy. I'm only here to deliver something to you." He said, as he summoned a box. "Reo told me that your suit isn't allowing you to access your power well. Or, something about you're scared to release it due to the fact your earth is weak. Anyway, he asked me and my sister to make you something than can help with that. So, we made you a suit like your father's and weapons that can absorb and release your Primordial power." He said as he opened the box. Out of the box, a stream of energy flowed out and wrapped Avery, dragging her into the box. "Now, it's up to you to succeed this trial, Princess."

"Was that necessary, Ryuu? She's not ready for this trail yet." Mai said.

"You might think that, but Reo and Anko has faith that she will definitely grow to her potential." He said with a smile.

Mai sighed and sat down. "Okay, I'll wait by the box for her. Can you restore this planet? We're going to need it since someone blew up her home on the moon." She spoke.

"Can't you do the same? You're a Jan-gu hybrid like me." Ryuu said.

"Yeah, but I don't use my Jan-gu powers like you. So, I won't make them as perfect." Mai said with a lazy tone.

Ryuu sighed and said "They don't have to be perfect. Just follow you instinct and make them the best way you can."

"Wow, you really grown over the years. If I didn't know better, I say that Arcana is really rubbing off on you."

"Shut up,"

Many hours have passed, and Avery hasn't come out of the box, causing Mai to slightly worry. Ryuu, reassuring her, summoned a bottle of liquor and a board. This board was a holographic strategy game called Dimensional conqueror. It's a very popular game with everybody in their universe.

Three hours later, they are too drunk to form complete sentences.

"Ryuu, pour me nother glass," Mai said, slurred while lying down.

"We already had ten bottles of the strongest li-li-liquor in the omniverse." Ryuu said, lying down in his dragon form.

"Come on, we both know we handle more this." She spoken as she began to glow.

"Yeah, right. You're losing control of your Celestial glow."

"Says the person who transformed into his dragon form an hour ago,"

Suddenly, three people appeared beside them. One of them was Reo, and another was Avery's mother who was stuck in Avery's Base, which was disconnected from this dimension when the moon was destroyed. But the last person was new.

"What are you two doing?" Reo asked.

"We're waiting for Avery's get out the box."

"You let her go in there by herself."

"Yeah, why?" Mai said.

"Well, Anko and I designed that box that to push us to discover new abilities. She'll probably suffer the worse things in omniverse. "

Suddenly, cracks formed on the box.

"Sooner than I expected," Reo said as he waved his hand, Instantly, he and the box teleported to an isolated space. Then, the box broke open, releasing Avery. However, she felt different.

"Reo, is that you?" Avery said softly. Then, her eyes went blank, and her power radiated from her body.

"Alright, I'll play wit- "Avery blasted his head off. "Okay, Serious," Reo said as his eyes glowed. Avery, then, behind him and formed a sword made of light, and slashes at Reo. Blocking her blade, Reo punched her backward, knocking her towards a mountain he instantly created. As she landed on the mountain, Avery blasted forward with heat vision, attempting hit Reo. However, Reo appeared beside her, and said "Wow, whatever you faced in there must've been intense," before blasted her with air. "Calm down, Avery. Remember who you are." Reo said. Avery yelled with a divine tone as her powers spiked. "Really, you've grown that much. How long were you in there for?" He said.

"My guess… Fourteen thousand years or so," Anko said appearing behind Reo.

"You don't say. I thought you were handling something personal."

"I am. I left a clone there to help while I'm here to solve this problem."

"Yeah, because I'm having so much trouble handling our daughter." Reo said, sarcastically.

"Oh, shut up. You knew what I meant." Anko said as she held out her hand. Immediately, Reo grabbed her hand and brought her in close. "Ever the player, huh." She said as black energy surrounded them. Immediately, Avery charges at them. However, she was forced back by an extremely powerful divine aura.

"Well, will you look at that. You made a rational choice. Good, that means I don't have to work as hard. I'll handle you very quickly." A woman said as the black energy dissipated.

Meanwhile, Ryuu and the others are laying down waiting for Reo and Anko. However, Sydney was pacing around, worrying about Avery.

"I know you're worried about Avery but walking around like isn't going to help her. So, please just sit down." Ryuu said as he transformed back to his human form.

"I know that you have faith in that Reo person, but I seen Avery deal with the most dangerous. Out of all the powerful heroes, she was the only one…

"Enough, Sydney! Your constant drama is so annoying. Listen I probably known Avery a lot less than you, but you don't know anything about her. She is more than capable of handling the most difficult of things." Mai said, confidently.

Suddenly, a pillar of light shined behind them. Dissipating the light pillar, Avery and the woman stood there, wearing brand new clothes. Avery was wearing a black jumpsuit with a red short jacket. The woman, like Avery was wearing the same, but her jacket was pure white with two black dragons, that intertwined with each other, on her left breast-pocket.

"Ayako? Did Reo and Anko have a problem?" Mai and Ryuu thought to themselves.

"No, Reo was more than enough for Avery. He and Anko wanted to use this opportunity to train and teach her more. And, truthfully, we would've been there longer, but Earth is having a little crisis."

"Right, Avery's clones were the ones who blew up the moon and were planning to do the same to Earth. But I assume that the two-hour time limit is almost up."

"Ten seconds left, and almost every hero has been defeated." Avery said.

"Well, I guess we should hurry there,"

"What are you talking about? We are on a distant planet far from Earth. We won't get in time!" Sydney yelled.

"Maybe you won't, but we will. Avery and I will be going alone while you three waits for us to come back." Ayako explained to Sydney as she formed a spear. Then, she extends her hand to Avery. "Come on, let's go,"

Avery grabbed her hand and Ayako threw the spear towards the Earth. Instantly, they disappeared.

Meanwhile back on Earth, Avery's clones were getting annoyed from waiting for Avery.

"People of Earth, I regret to tell you that time is up. And your heroes have failed to stop me. So, say goodbye to your pathetic lives and planet." One of the clones said as their eyes began to glow. Immediately, they blasted at the surface of the earth. However, the Earth was still intact.

"Seriously, aren't you a second too early?" Ayako said as she held the blast back with her hand.

"Well, in her defense, she was probably bored with these pathetic heroes."

"Well, luckily, we're here. Right," Ayako said.

Knowing what she meant, Avery nodded. Extending her hand, Avery and Ayako added their powers together to form an energy blast strong enough to destroy the clones and their laser vision.

"It's finished, huh. But, why does it feel so empty?"

"Because you awakened to your true abilities. One of those abilities is called void sense, which allows you feel everything in the omniverse. Your probably feeling the emotions from the dead."

"Yes, it seems like it not from this dimension or Yolunda's dimension."

"Must be the Reapers' dimension. A dimension in this universe that is close to the apocalypse. But that is where the next Reaper is going to be born." Ayako said as her eyes glowed.

"Reaper? You mean those bastards that took Yolunda's soul?"

"No, those were low grade reapers made to help the one true reaper with their work. They don't listen to anybody besides the reaper."

"Well, whoever the next Reaper is going to have work alone. I destroyed them when I was trying get Yolunda soul back."

"Oh, don't worry about them. They needed to be replaced since it been a couple thousand years. Anyway, I think you should get going to the Reapers' dimension. It looks like they need you. Plus, you need to be there for the next Reaper's awakening."

"Wait, you already know the next Reaper?"

"Of course, We can see the outcome to anything in the Omniverse. It kind of gets annoying knowing everything."

"Wait, does that mean you knew this was going to happen?"

"Yes, and before you ask. You needed to grow and experience some of your potential. You can't grow if I tell you everything."

"Okay, so tell me this one thing. Who is the next Reaper? And, how do I find them?"
