Ch 6 The Growing Flame

There was silence as the gravity of this situation was pushed greatly on the two.

"Why wouldn't they tell us," Rez says as the fire inside him grew bigger.

"Honestly, I don't know, but I believe it is to prevent us from panicking," Tiaw eyes softened when he looked at Rez.

"So why let people like your family know?"

"Well it is just like how the major group gained enough power to break apart from the old United Federation. If you had to compared it to beast then the Seagard group would be tier 3 while my family would be tier 4. Even though tier 3 is stronger, they can still be toppled by enough tier 4s. Adding on to that, they can't really carrol us either and they can't destroy us as we are vital to the planet. That's also why students in that circle gets special privileges like access to this room.

Rez sighed before looking back at Tiaw, "So why are you showing me this?"

Tiaw closed his eyes for a moment before responding, "Being in the world I have been spending most of my life in can give you a nose for good people. I also don't agree with this policy of hiding this information from people." He then took a pause before continuing. "Plus aren't we friends?"

Rez gave a smile back before placing the documents back to their original spot.

Rez was talking to Silv when Tiaw finally managed to show up.

Silv asked Tiaw with slightly annoyed tone, "So what made you so late."

"Well the line at the store was longer than I expected, but I managed to buy the snacks I wanted."

Silv gave a deadpanned expression causing Tiaw to become nervous.

"Here try it."

He then gave Rez and Silv the snack he bought. It was pieces of jerky. Silv took a bite before happily munching on the rest.

"Wow these are good," Rez says before finishing the rest of his off.

Tiaw seeing an opportunity gave Silv a bag.

"As an apology for being late."

Silv took the bag and began to happily munch on the jerky while directing everyone into the ARC area. The were small rooms about the same size of office cubicles.

"So are we fighting each other or random people?" Rez asked while looking around in fascination.

"Obviously other people, we fight against each other enough times already." After saying that Tiaw points to three empty rooms before they split up into the different ones.

The room was a bright white with the only noticable thing being a cords hanging from the ceiling. At the end of the cords were straps. Putting them on, Rez then puts the helmet on. Soon he feels like he is sucked away from his body before returning to what he feels like is the same room minus the door and the cords. Soon a digital hud appear with options.

Choosing Tier 9 quickplay, the room quickly expand and a circular ring appears.

Standing before him was a girl wearing black and purple clothes.

A hud then appears with only the words ready and a blank box. Pressing ready, a check appears in the box and after a while the hud disappears before a robotic voice appears.

"On three,

'Alright, lets do this.'

Stomping the ground, Rez immediately boost forward with his fire helping him move faster. His opponent immediately swipe at him with her sword. Condensing fire in his hand, he quickly sends an attack straight at his opponents face sending them flying. Quickly getting up, she dashes at Rez surprising him with her speed before slashing down at him. Quickly, Rez condenses fire onto his hands while backing up. The sword was slowing down enough to give Rez time to change its trajectory before immediately sending a fire kick at his opponent, sending them flying. Not giving his opponent time to breath, Rez advance forward. When he got closer he then send a couple of fireballs to harass her before finishing her off with a fire punch.

'I should really start naming some of these techniques.'

After some more fighting Rez manage to get to 18% for stage progression and added a point to his Agility making it 7. He then took a break as it was getting late. Walking out he saw that Tiaw was done and was waiting for everyone while on his phone.

"Why haven't you left yet when you were done?"

Tiaw looks up from his phone before replying, "Oh, I just wanted to talk to Silv about something."

Seeing that Tiaw didn't elaborate on what he wanted to talk about, Rez started leaving.

"Well, see you tomorrow."

As he was walking, Rez thought about his new schedule.

'So classes first, then the ACR for increasing my stats, then training in the forest for my fire abilities. Wait, I wonder if the ACR can help train my fire. I didn't fight enough to feel if my flames were getting stronger. Lets check that out tomorrow and if I can then I will spend extra time in the ACR and less in the training ground.

A token with a dragon design on it floated in their. It was covered in flames, but it seems like the flames got stronger around the time Rez got stronger. On another side of the @#$!##$ A white substance that seems like it has the characteristics of fire continues to grow.
