Chapter 2 : The System and first Quest

A blue screen popped up.

On the screen are many Information about my stats, ability, skills and some biological data but you can summerise it as follows.

Name: (No name selected) (Lv. 1)

Race: Night Fox

Grade: Common

Age: 17

HP: 20/20

Stamina: 20/20

Ability's: (No ability)

Skills:

Claw(Lv.1)

Bite(Lv.1)

Stats:

Strength: 15

Perception: 27

Endurance: 20

Intelligence: 80

Luck: 17

Speed: 22

Defense: 20

Vitality: 20

Statpoints: 0

Skillpoints: 0

The stats are okay and I guess stat points are to upgrade stats. Maybe you can upgrade Skills with Skillpoints? The Ability option seems interesting. Sadly I don't seem to have an ability yet. At the top of the screen are different tabs.

(System)

(Inventory)

(System Shop)

(Quests)

(Map)

Well I have to go through all of them. I tab on the (Inventory) and the tab gets selected. Wow there are 2 Items.

(Lv.5 Beginner Box)

(5x Healing Potions)

The healing potions might get useful but to open the (Lv.5 Beginner Box) I first have to level up a couple of times.

I look on the next tab and focus on (System Shop). As soon as the tab opens I could see a large amount of stuff I could buy with System Coins.

There was one type of System Coins.

The Knowledge Coins. I can use Knowledge Coins to understand things like Martial Arts, certain ability or languages.

The next one is the (Quest) Tab. I focus on the Quest tab and it shows me a message.

(No current Quests)

But how do I get Quests?

Another Message appears.

(Quests appear randomly and depend on the situation.)

Okay I guess I have to deal with Quests later. Okay the last tab and for me most interesting one. The (Map) Tab.

I focus on it and the map opens. But the only thing I see is my surrounding area. The small grass field with the tree in the middle were I currently am.

That is shit. I expected more. So I have to be there to get it on my map. That is so annoying.

I close the system by focusing on the big red (X) on the corner.

Well I am hungry right now and I can see a few white rabbits with the same size as me back at the treeline of the forest.

Well time to get something to eat. Suddenly a message popped up in my vision

Quest: Kill 3 Rabbits (Grade: Poor)

(Difficulty: Normal)

Reward:

Unique Skill: Appraisal (Allows you to see others stats. It becomes less useful if the target has a higher level than you.)

(2 Levels),(10 Statpoints),

(10 Skillpoints ), 100 Knowledge Points

The Quest doesn't seem hard and the difficulty says it's normal difficulty.

It gives even a Unique skill as a reward. That skill alone would be worth it.

Well better get to work then.

I run into the grass fields towards the forest with the Rabbits.

I'm far to slow. Even a 12 year old child would be able to run next to me comfortably. And speed isn't even my lowest stat.

Once I reached the treeline I hid inside a bush and spotted my prey. A white Rabbit was only a couple meters away from me.

The Rabbit was unaware of me and as soon as it was only a meter away from my hiding spot I jumped at it and used (Bite Lv.1).

I tasted blood as soon as I bite into it's right side.

The bunny even though surprised at first kicked me at my stomach.

- 3 HP

I held it with my teeth and used scratch at it's exposed neck killing it.

Quest progress (1/3)

Good and I still have 17HP left.

Well food is done. But should I really eat it raw. Does it even taste good raw. I mean I am a fox now but did that change my taste as well. Well I need to eat.

I started biting into the side of the bunny. It is warm and tastes quiet okay. Not delicious but not bad either.

XP gained

Eating gives me XP. That means free levels. Would I gain XP for eating stones? Well I have food in front of me I shouldn't press my luck when my luck stat is so low.

I started biting large chunks out of the Rabbit until I felt full.

XP gained

XP gained

Well that wasn't exactly delicious but acceptable. Only two more Rabbits and I completed my quest.

I sneaked around until I found two Rabbits. If I would just attack them one would escape so I need to do it different this time. I got into a bush that was close to one of the Rabbits and quickly dragged it inside by biting it in the neck killing it instantly.

Quest progress (2/3)

Level up

+ 3 Statpoints

+ 2 Skillpoints

I was so happy because of the level up that I stepped on a twig causing the other Rabbits to notice that it's companion is gone. It immediately ran away while I ran after it.

I realized that the difference between poor grade and common grade beast animals is huge because even though I can't compare to humans in speed it was very easy to catch up and kill it with a bite to the neck using my (Bite Lv.1) Skill.

Skill leveled up (Bite Lv.2)

Quest progression (3/3)
