Chapter 7 Leaving the Labyrinth caves for now

Yukikaze rested for an entire hour. She looked at her HP and Stamina and sighed.

` It`s so slow. Screw it I`m going now. I want to get out today. `

After half an hour of walking she reached a room in which the passage turns into two again. She repeated what she did with the last time she was in this situation and tried to sense were the fresh air comes from. After she was sure the right passage is the way out she entered it.

10 Minutes of walking later the passage started to go upwards and she was able to see a light in the distance. Yukikaze deactivated her (Nightvision Lv.3) which leveled up again because of the extensive use during her time in the cave.

While walking towards the light she noticed a strange sound.

` Is that water? `

After leaving the passage she saw that her ears didn`t fool her. Next to the exit of the cave was a waterfall which lead towards a river. Yukikaze was still inside a forest but she could be far away from her sleeping spot. It wasn`t like she cared for it much. In the end it was just an empty tree stump with some leaves with it. The thing she cared for were the delicious rabbits that seem to stay near that location.

` Well seems like I have to find out were I am first. The System Map should show me were I am right. Even though I can`t see everything I should see were my "home" was and were I am right now, right? ` Yukikaze opened the (Map) and saw that the exit of the cave is luckily only 1.6 Kilometers (1 Mile) North West of her "Home".

` For a human this isn`t far at all but for my tiny fox form. I hope I get home today. I would say that I have around half an hour before the sun sets so I have to hurry. But I am thirsty so I drink from the river that is conveniently located here. ` She went up to the river and drank from it.

` Drinking recovers Stamina. What a lucky discovery. ` Yukikaze drank again from the river to bring her Stamina to the current maximum. After that she started her march to her "home" .

Along the way she discovered a small red bird. It looked a bit like a woodpecker. She used (Appraisal Lv.2) on the woodpecker.

` Hm I am quiet hungry and it is better if I kill and eat this red woodpecker now than to find a white rabbit back "home". I have to be fast though with eating if I want to reach my "home" before the sun sets. ` With that she activated (Camouflage Lv.2) and sneaked towards it. As soon as she was close enough she used (Jump Lv.3) and (Bite Lv.4) to kill it. Yukikaze quickly devoured the Red Woodpecker and continued her way.

After 15 minutes she reached her "home" and checked for anything dangerous but found nothing. So she went into her tree stump and sleeped through the night.

The morning light of the next day woke Yukikaze. It was early morning and the first thing she did was to get her fur in check since she was now for two days in this world and didn`t once cleaned it. After she was done she thought about her next steps on what she should do.

` Well I didn`t completely searched the caves underground and it seems like there are a lot of useful treasures and skills to be obtained. But it will take to long if I go everyday in and out. It would be better if I could do it in one trip. Maybe I can put dead rabbits into my system inventory and keep them there as travel food? That way I could stay multiple days in the caves and would do it in one trip. That way I`m significantly faster. ` Yukikaze got excited at all the treasures and skills she will find down there.

` Two white rabbits are enough to keep me alive for a day. When I think how long it will take to move through every part of the labyrinth caves I would say two days. But to be sure I will take enough for three days with me. So I will need six white rabbits. `

`Okay that`s food taking care of. Now about the sleeping thing. I will buy the (Enhanced sixth sense Lv.1) skill to notice any danger while I am sleeping but to be sure I should use the (Trapper Lv.1) skill to build traps around me while I sleep. With wood I can build punji sticks. I will sleep in the corridors since threats can only come from two ways I only have two build two punji traps. 28 wooden sticks should be enough. `

With the plan for her expedition into the Labyrinth caves completed she went out to hunt ten rabbits. Why ten if she only needs six? Well she needs to eat two per day. She planned on preparing herself for two days.

At the first she will hunt ten rabbits so she won`t have to hunt for the second preparation day and the expedition into the Labyrinth caves. At the second preparation day she will collect 28 sticks and turn them into punji sticks. Additionally she will collect some leaves so she can comfortably sleep and cover up the punji sticks.

After ten minutes of searching she found one white rabbit and killed it immediately. She ate it as her breakfast. Only nine more to hunt.

After Yukikaze finished eating the white rabbit she opened her status to see how well sch was developing.
