Chapter 11 Clearing the labyrinth caves (Part 2)

After leaving the village Yukikaze continued on the path to reach the Temple of the Undead in time to complete the quest. She decided that she would only rest after that quest is done.

Yukikaze ran for 10 minutes until she finally saw something in the distance. It was a large bridge that ended at a massive temple ruin which should be the Temple of the Undead since the path didn`t lead anywhere else.

Yukikazes problem now wasn`t time anymore since she still had 4 hours 22 minutes and would be able to reach the temple ruins within 20 minutes. Her problem now where the large amounts of skeletons on the way and quite possibly further inside.

The only way to the temple ruins is over the bridge which is guarded by skeletons of all kinds. Some had nothing others had swords and bows, some even had full metal armor and would be considered as heavy infantry.

She doesn`t want to fight them head on so she opened her skill list to see if there is anything that could help her right now.

` I only have 19 Skillpoints but it seems like I have no other choice than to buy Invisibility. I wanted to buy this skill anyway eventually so I guess it isn`t that bad. Still expensive like 15 Skillpoints. That leaves me with only 4 Skillpoints remaining. `

` I should probably check my status again. Last time was when I was down here last time right. `

`I have 53 Statpoints. If I put 20 Statpoints into Perception I should sense danger far better right. I need to get through undetected so I guess this is the best I can do right now. Strength will only hep me to fight not to prevent one from happening. Same goes for Defense and Vitality. Endurance could help me stay Invisible for longer but I don`t plan to take that long.Lastly Luck and Intelligence. I have enough Intelligence right now and I don`t really trust the Luck Stat. Guess there is only one logical decision. `

Yukikaze decided in the end to put 20 Statpoints into Perception raising it to 57 leaving her with 33 Statpoints. That should be enough to sneak past the skeletons.

Yukikaze moved towards the bridge, after 20 minutes she started getting close so she activated (Invisibility Lv.1) and (Camouflage Lv.3). While (Invisibility Lv.1) makes you Invisible (Camouflage Lv.3) has another passive side effect besides making her harder to spot. It also hides your smell and the sounds you make to a certain degree.

With both of these skills she started crossing the bridge. She had a couple close encounters where skeletons would look confused in her direction as if they could sense that someone is there but since they sense nothing strong thanks to (Camouflage Lv.3) or are able to see anything because of (Invisibility Lv.1) they continue aimlessly patrolling the bridge.

Yukikaze still had to be careful since she still was physically there and if something went horribly wrong could still accidentally bump into a skeleton alerting every skeleton of her presence, which is why she had to sometimes go around skeletons to avoid collisions or other accidents that could reveal her from happening.

Because all of this it took her half an hour to reach the other side of the bridge were the temple ruins began.

Time Remaining : 3 hours 32 minutes

Yukikaze quickly entered the temple ruins and followed a tunnel. The walls were made out of stone bricks and didn`t seem to be in the best of state. The temple ruins gave her a constant feeling of doom and hopelessness. Yukikaze though continued and tried to ignore that awkward feeling to focus herself on the task at hand.

After several turns she reached a long room to have been a library. All around here were bookshelf and a few armored skeletons roamed the library. She wanted to continue but saw an old chest at a corner that was in a small space between two bookshelf's.

Yukikaze used (Appraisal Lv.3) on it.

( A normal chest usually used to store items.)

` That is a disappointing explanation. Well at least I know it isn`t a trap. Lets see what amazing treasure is inside here. `

Yukikaze opened the chest and saw...

` This is just an old rusted sword out of Iron. Maybe it is enchanted? There needs to be something special about it or else it wouldn`t have it`s own chest right? ` Yukikaze used (Appraisal Lv.3) on it to see what makes this sword so special.

Name (Iron Sword (rusted) )

Info: A normal Iron Sword that had seen better days. Maybe it ones was owned by a great swordsman but now it would barely survive a couple swings.

` huh. So it is really just rubbish. Not worth my time. ` disappointed Yukikaze left the Sword in the chest and left the library behind her.

She continued and found what seemed to be the kitchen. There were no skeletons inside but she saw three small puppets on one of the tables.

` Why are there puppets here? ` Yukikaze used (Appraisal Lv.3) on them to find out more about them.

Name (Another Chance Puppet/AC Puppet)

Info: The AC Puppet can be bonded with any living person and will take all the damage the bonded person takes into herself.As soon as the bonded person dies a fake body will be created and dropped at the place the bonded person died at. The bonded person on the other side will be teleported random within a 5 km radius and fully healed.

Yukikaze read the description with wide eyes and quickly put the three AC Puppets into her system Inventory.

` Finally something that is really good. `

Yukikaze looked around the kitchen for a couple more minutes but couldn`t find anything that is anything worth to her. Without finding anything besides the three SC Puppets she continued her journey through the temple ruins.
