Chapter 12 Clearing the labyrinth caves (Part 3)
After Yukikaze left the kitchen behind she searched in a few more rooms like a bath and a couple bedrooms. She searched in every single one of these rooms but wasn`t able to find anything of value.
Yukikaze glanced on the timer to see how much time she still has to find the treasure in this ruin.
Time remaining: 2 hours 53 minutes
Yukikaze continued and went a set of stairs that lead further down. After she had descended all the stairs there was one long corridor.
Yukikaze followed it and after a couple steps there where cells build into the walls of the corridor.
` Guess that`s where they kept their prisoners. Maybe something important is down here like a treasury? ` Yukikaze thought while moving along the corridor.
She looked through the bars into every cell but decided to not enter them since they where mostly empty anyway. Sometimes there were a couple skeletons. They weren`t alive like the ones she fought against though.
After a while the corridor ended with one door at the end of it. The former door was destroyed next to were it ones was. Yukikaze entered into the room and noticed a bunch of armor, swords, shields, bows, crossbows and arrows.
` Seems like I have found the armory. But most of this is just standard swords. My own (Enchanted Katana) is much better and I can`t use any of this anyway. `
Yukikaze left the Armory and went back the way she came here. After she went up the stairs and was in front of one of the bedrooms she already searched for anything valuable she looked at how much time she had left.
Time remaining: 2 hours 8 minutes
` That took me entire 45 minutes! I have to hurry. But if I continue to search every room I won`t finish in time to complete the quest. Well this ruin basically is a giant castle. And the name of this place is "The Temple of the Undead" which means there must be an important main room. I guess that`s my only chance `
Yukikaze hurried through the large corridor sometimes activating (Invisibility Lv.1) and (Camouflage Lv.3) to move past a few skeletons.
She would look into every room to see if it was some kind of special room but they were all just rooms were the staff and soldier would sleep until she arrived at a set of stairs that would look beautiful and elegant if there weren`t parts of it broken and rubble lying around everywhere.
At the end of the stairs was a giant double door which was slightly open. Wide enough for her to enter.
` That must be the largest door I have ever seen and behind it can only be the special room. I still have 1 hour and 34 minutes. That will be enough because I know that I am not capable to fight that long yet. Either I kill whatever is on the other side within that time or I die in that time. Well here I go` Yukikaze ascended the stairs and entered through the opening.
On the other side is a giant throne room. In front of Yukikaze was a flat floor where guests and other lower class people like servants and soldiers could stay or kneel in front of the throne.
The throne was a at the end of a small set of stairs which gives the person sitting on it the capability to see everything in the room even if it where full of people.
On the throne was a skeleton with a crown on it`s head and a giant Halberd. It has it`s elbow on it`s knee and was sitting in a thinking pose. The skeleton was directly looking at the entrance or specifically he was looking at Yukikaze.
` He does seem intelligent. I have to be careful. ` Yukikaze thought while preparing herself for a battle that could last an entire hour if it went bad.
But suddenly a harsh voice started speaking which startled her.
" Tell me little fox how you got here past all the skeletons and traps? "
" How did you fought through all the skeletons? "
` I don`t think I fought that many. ` Yukikaze thought. She couldn`t talk so she could only think and listen. The giant skeleton doesn`t seem to be able to read her mind since he immediately continued.
" How did you know that the food in the kitchen was poisoned? " the skeleton continued.
` I just ignored it because I had the quest time limit. ` Yukikaze thought knowing she probably won`t be as lucky the next time. But the Skeleton wasn`t done yet.
" How did you know that all the cells would have closed themselves the second you would have entered them? "
` ... `
" How did you manage to get here in time? As soon as you go over the "Bridge of Mist" you would enter a area with a poisoned gas that kills you after 6 hours. How did you knew the only way to get completely immune to it was to breath in the gas in the throne room little fox? "
` How the fuck did I survive this? Why didn`t the system warn me? ` Yukikaze looked to see how much time she still had.
Time remaining: 1 hour and 27 minutes
`I would have died if I had checked every single room. I definitely should increase my luck attribute. There is no other way besides plot armor to explain this. `
" I guess out of your silence you can`t talk." The skeleton moved out of it`s thinking pose and stood up from it`s throne.
" Well you were the first to survive this place and because of that you will be rewarded. I will give you a skill from my time when I was still a living creature. Take it it doesn`t has any use for me anymore."
A small light flew to Yukikaze and as soon as it entered her body a message appeared.

" Additionally I will gift you this place as your own. All the skeletons in and around this castle will follow your every command. You can equip them with whatever is left in the armory and if you decide to chose to do so you can give them their living human body`s back but beware. As Skeletons they will be loyal to you but if they are human again they could betray you. You can also turn them from human back to skeleton if you want to. "
` So I have a small private army of skeletons and a giant castle that is just a ruin. Well I have to make the decision. Keep them as loyal skeleton soldiers or turn them into backstabbing and betraying humans. The skeletons are way cooler I keep them.` Yukikaze thought happy about her own skeleton army.
" Of course I can`t leave this beautiful castle as a ruin so I will as my last action repair the castle to it`s old glory. If you have questions ask my loyal skeleton butler Albert. "
With those last words he disappeared and slowly the dust disappeared and the walls repaired themselves. The Castle still had a very dark and creepy look but it wasn`t a ruin anymore.
A Skeleton with a butler suit walked to Yukikaze and bowed in front of her.
` So no final boss? And now I have a butler? I just wanted to explore the cave. This will cost a bit of time. Yukikaze thought annoyed since she needed to manage this castle now as well but a message made her mood lift up again.
(The Quest: "Find the main treasure of the Temple of the Undead" has been competed)
