Chapter 21 Evolution

Yukikaze expected to evolve but instead another message appears.

(Sonar- User can feel anything moving in a certain radius. The radius is determined by the perception skill.)

(Body Hardening- User gets a 1000% boost on defence and vitality.)

(Shadow- User can teleport to any shadows in view. User can hide in shadows which makes it impossible to sense the user in any kind of way. User can teleport from shadow to shadow while hiding within a shadow.)

(You can only choose one of these now but the others will be available again together with new abilitys.)

' Hmm that is a difficult decision. (Sonar) will make it very easy to detect enemys. While (Body Hardening) multiplys my vitality and defence by ten. That would raise my HP from 430 to 4300 immeadiatly. And (Shadow) would allow me to teleport and hide away completly which could give me a decisive advantage. '

Yukikaze thought everything through for 5 minutes before she came to a cobclusion.

' (Sonar) is limited since someone has to move to be able to be noticed and (Body Hardening) isn't really anything special while (Shadow) could allow me to fight and survive enemys far stronger then myself. '

Yukikaze tapped on the (Shadow) ability. Then a large amount of pain overcame her causing her to fall uncouncious immeadiately.

During her Evolution a dark black smoke continously left Yukikazes room and concentrated itself at the ceiling like smoke from a fire.

The Skeleton Butler Albert would have entered if he didn't know that Yukikaze was evolving and it was a good thing he knew she was evolving. His intrusion could cause severe complications during Yukikazes evolution so he ordered all other skeletons to not go near the throne room and never under any circumstances enter Yukikazes room.

Yukikazes evolution took three days to finish.

The evolution from a (Common) grade beast to an (Uncommon) grade beast is the most important evolution since it determines if the beast that is evolving get abilitys in the future or will not gain any because it is not always guaranteed that a beast will get one.

A beast can only get an ability if the beast core that is forming inside of it is capable to support one. If it is the beast will not only get an ability which often is influenced by it's race and evolution circumstances but it will also be intelligent on human level. It will also get at least one new ability during each future evolution. They will also get smarter with every evolution.

If the beast core is not capable of supporting an ability the beast will never be able to gain an ability or higher intelligence than that of a dog. They will still be able to evolve but won't become more than a strong wild animal.

The children of inteligent beasts are guaranteed to gain an ability because there is a way to ensure that you will get one. The beast core that is forming inside the beast which is going through it's evolution is absorbing energy from the surrounding environment. That's why inteligent beast who have a child that is evolving from (Common) to (Uncommon) either let it evolve at a place where a lot of energy is provided by the environment or put items nearby which contain a lot of energy like beast cores.

That is also the reason why the system forced Yukikaze to have 5 (Uncommon) beast cores by her side to evolve.

During the 3 days Yukikaze was evolving the beast core that was forming inside her absorbed all the energy of the 5 beast cores that were next to her. Thanks to that preparation her stats will rise very high.

After 3 days the evolution process was completed. During these three days Yukikaze was most of the time unconscious because everytime she woke up the constant pain would immediately force her to faint again.

Even though the Evolution process was completed Yukikaze still slept and rested for 6 hours before her body was capable of moving again.

When she woke up her pain already subsided.

' God that hurt. I hope the next evolutions aren't that bad. '

' But I can feel everything around me much better. I can't wait to see how much my stats improved. '

' I have now over 4000 HP which means I won't have to fear everything anymore. Huh what is that. '

Yukikaze pressed on a small blinking light at the bottom left corner of the screen. As soon as she pressed it a voice spoke inside her head.

" Hello it's me again. Be thankful that I allow you to hear my beautiful voice again. You have entertained me quiet well and have managed to evolve. I know you still remember me because I am just unforgettable great. "

' Not her. Everything but her! '

Yukikaze thought since she knew exactly who was speaking to her.

' I thought you said I would never here from you again. You liar. '

But all that Yukikaze got as a response was just an annoying giggle.
