Chapter 69: A fishing date

Empties were weighting the table firmly to the paving stones by the time Halley excused himself from the bunch to wander to the rim of the patio and gaze out over the starlit valley. Glancing over his shoulder and noting he was in full view, he wandered around the outside of the pool-house and stopped with it between him and the others. There he positioned himself at the edge of the pathway and with the toes of his shoes jutting undid his trouser zip. Nicholas Donaldson quietly joined him and did likewise. Not six feet from David they emptied their bladders.

'Steve's got his main dam stocked with rainbow trout. Want to put in some fishing tomorrow morning?'

'Just us?' Halley asked.

The urinating continued. The smell of ammonia stung David's nasal passages.
