Nicholas POV
I rejected my mate. I knew my wolf was not happy with me. "Why the fuck would you do that to us," Max yelled in my head.
"It is none of your business Max!" I snickered back.
"She is our mate. She is from an Alpha Bloodline." Max growled.
"I don't care she is not worthy to be Luna," I spoke harshly but in reality, my heart was breaking.
I arrived at Redmoon's territory because Alec wanted to reschedule the peace treaty. I noticed that the Shadow pack was also here, which means trouble.
I walked into the office and Sofia sat next to her father. She looked horrible, and that was my doing. "Hey, Alec," I said.
"Hey," Alec stated and motioned me to sit in the far left corner away from Sofia.
"Do we have more packs coming in?" I asked.
"Yes. Shadow pack will be in shortly. Mark and Luke are here to discuss a few things." Alec looked at me.
I looked over at Sofia and noticed that she did not even bother to look at me. "She hates us," Max whined. "You need to fix this you bastard before it's too late," Max yelled in my head.
"Shut up before I block you out," I said under my breath.
"This is your fault," Max stated and went silent.
I did not want Sofia. I did not want her as Luna in my pack. My pack would not accept her. I have to do this and keep my foot down.
"Hello everyone!" Alec stood up and started with announcements. "Today we are here for a new peace treaty within each of our packs."
"I would like to renew our treaty," I spoke softly. "My father just cannot be here today. He is dealing with some rogues along with our lands."
"We will get to you in a little while Nicholas," Alec spoke and went over to the Shadow Pack Alpha. "We will expand some of your lands. Since your pack is expanding Mark." Alec smiled.
"Thank you Alec means a lot." Mark shook his hand and sat down.
"Now Nicholas, I heard you found your mate a few nights ago, correct?" Alec turned and faced me.
"Yes, that is correct," I spoke.
"Who is you mate?" He asked as he knew the answer to the question.
"Sofia, your daughter Alpha," I stated.
"And to my understanding, you rejected my Sofia as your mate." He stood and leaned down to me.
"I-I-I did." I stuttered a little bit.
"Why?" He asked so simply.
"Because she is not worthy of Luna." I stood up and faced him.
Alec remained calm and looked me dead in the face and said. "Our peace treaty is not worthy to be renewed. Now get out of my home. You are not welcome here."
I stood up and headed for the door to leave Redmoons Pack House I heard Sofia speak up. "Mate." As she pointed to Luke of the Shadow Pack.
"That is our mate!" Max shouted.
"No, it is not," I said as I fought the urge to shift right there in front of Alec.
I stood tall and made my way to the door and as I left I let Max free and we took off home. That is all I recall.
