Chapter 6

"Sofia!" I heard Mikey call down that hallway

"Yes, Mikey?" I laughed and walked towards the hallway.

"I heard what happened!" A playful smile danced across his face.

"Which part?" I asked him.

"Where you got rejected and was able to get another fated mate." He smiled.

"Oh, Nicholas rejected me and I was not worthy of him nor his pack." I chuckled softly.

"Well, babe you are worthy no matter what." He smiled and hugged me. "I gotta take off mom needs help at home."

"Thank you! Tell mom I said hi and I will come to visit soon!" I spoke and hugged him back.

"Will do! See you later." As he dashed through the front doors.

I walked to my bedroom, "We should run." I heard Eva say softly.

"Okay let's do it." I smiled softly, I have not even done my first shift because of the rejection. I just wanted to stay hidden away.

I walked down the stairs towards the back door near the kitchen. "Hey, sweetie. Are you hungry?" Grams asked.

"A little bit." I chuckled softly. "I am going to go out for a run and let my wolf free."

"Well, you better eat something quickly." She smiled and started to make me a ham and cheese sandwich.

"Of course Grams! You always take great care of the pack." I smiled softly as she handed me my plate.

"That is what I am here for to help out the pack, because who is gonna cook for a bunch of hungry wolves." She spoke as her face lit up the room.

"Thank you, Grams! Tell mom and dad I will be back later if they ask where I went" I smiled and place my plate in the sink and headed out the back door.

The afternoon air was warm, but it wasn't quite humid out yet. I started to strip out of my clothes so I didn't ruin them. I place my clothes next to the tree and I have begun my first ever shift

I heard my bones crackle in the tree line. I watched as my hands turn in the paws of a wolf. I watched as my legs crack into my wolf shape. I felt my face convert to my wolf form.

"We are free!" Eva yelled in my mind.

"We are let's run!" I pushed myself to all fours.

I danced across the grass fields and Eva and I reached a stream along the way. We stopped to drink some of the water. I stood there for a few moments to take in my wolf form.

Eva was pure black with little spots of white along with our paws. I smiled softly to myself. We were beautiful.

We continue to run along with the trees and I felt as someone was watching me. I stopped dead in my tracks as I heard something come from my right side.

"Do not move." The unknown voice spoke loudly.

"Okay," I spoke softly.

"Who are you and what are you doing on our lands." The voice spoke loudly again.

"I am Sofia Dawn from the Redmoon Pack," I spoke proudly.

The Shadow figure came forward from the trees and his wolf stood tall. He was a deep brown with golden eyes. "I am Kai from the Blackmoon Pack. I am the Alpha and you have crossed the lands." He spoke up.

I thought to myself "This is Nicholas's father and my dad denied them another treaty."

"What are you doing on my lands," Kai asked again.

"I am so sorry I didn't mean to cross the line," I spoke up.

"Well, there are consequences for other wolves crossing another pack's lands. You know this young lady." He spoke coldly.

"I-I... This is my first time-shifting. I did not know any better." I spoke softly and started to back away from Kai.

Kai began to walk towards me, "I do not care. First, shift or not. You and your pack will pay for everything."

"Run!" Eva whispered, "He is giving us a chance to leave."

I nodded my head towards Kai and turned around and ran back towards the packhouse to let my dad know about the threats we are gonna face.

I ran for about a good 30 minutes before the Pack House came into view. "Dad! Mom! Come outside." I spoke through our mind link.

"What is the matter Sofia? Are you okay?" My father was outside in his wolf form with his betta Marcus and his omega Oliver.

"I am fine pa, but I don't know if the future we will be. I accidentally ran into the Blackmoon Pack Lands and ran into Kai." I spoke up and looked at my dad.

"Oh no. What is going on?" He asked as he was ready to run towards Blackmoon's Lands.

"Kai said that we will pay for what we have done," I spoke softly.

"No, we won't. His son chose what he chose and I remain firm on my decision." My father growled.

I have never seen my dad this pissed off before but I know that it's time to cool off and get inside. "I know dad. I am going to go change and meet you inside." I nodded and ran off to my tree where I left my clothes.
