Chapter 10

I heard a knock on my door. "Come on in." I hollered as I finished packing one of my suitcases.

"You all packed sweetie?" My mom asked as she came into my room.

"Almost ready. I have a few things to finish packing." I smiled softly as I place the last item of clothing in my suitcase.

"Alright, sweetie. Well finish up and meet your father and me in his office and we will leave and take you to the Shadow Pack." My mom said and headed for my bedroom door.

I headed for my bathroom to pack the essentials that needed to go with like my hairbrush toothbrush, and hygiene products, shampoo, and conditioner.

I was finally packed after 3 suitcases and a few boxes that I needed. I hollered for a guard to help me carry down some of my items. Axel one of our guards met me at the door. "Axel can you help me carry these down to the car so I can meet my parents in the office." I smiled softly.

"Yes of course." Axel smiled and picked up a few of the boxes.

"Thank you so much!" I said and headed down the stairs with one of my suitcases cases.

"No problem." He said and walked down to the car.

I headed for the office and knocked on the door. "Come on in." I heard my father say.

"Hey dad, I am ready whenever you and mom are ready to go." I smiled softly.

"Alright, let me get a few things ready to go and we will leave." My dad said and went back to his office.

"We get to be with our mate," Eva spoke through our link.

"I know, but I am also worried about my parents," I spoke softly.

"Everything will be alright. We will be safe and your parents will take care of it." Eva tried to comfort me by reassuring me everything will be alright.

I heard the front door open and I stood up expecting it to be my parents, but I came face to face with Nicholas as he walked out the door. I had no idea he was here; I felt my chest tighten and I ran towards the vehicle.

"Why are you running?" I heard his voice speak as he nears me.

"Because I want nothing to do with you," I spoke through clenched teeth.

"You are mine, and I am taking back what is mine." He started to run after me.

Eva sensed it before I could. I was her I was my wolf running for my life. I tried my mind link with my pack, but I wasn't in sync with it yet. I continued to run in the woods till I heard his steps disappear and I ran home to inform my father of the encounter I just had.

"Where have you been? We have been looking for you everywhere?" My father rosed his voice at me.

"I was running from him dad he was was here. You met with him.!" I yelled back.

"Met with who? Your mother and I were finished some of the pack stuff we needed to do before we leave." He spoke softer.

"Nicholas was here. Standing where you are standing now." I whimpered softly.

"Sweetie, he cannot step away foot into our lands or he will be killed." He spoke and pulled me into his arms.

"But dad," I spoke softly.

"No buts." He chuckled softly, "Let's go Sofia."

I sighed softly, "Let's go I am ready to go now."

We got into the SUV Axel took the seat next to me. Dad started the car and we took off to the Shadow Pack Lands.

The drive seemed to take forever, but I was anxious and worried but yet I was excited to start this new journey. I had a mate that wanted me.

The hour passes as we enter the Shadow Pack Lands. I heard the howling signaling that we have arrived. We continue to drive down the long driveway to reach the Pack House where I soon will reside at.

We got out of the SUV, Luke and Mark were standing at the front door waiting for our arrival.

Luke's POV:

I felt Onyx pace he knew she was close but not close enough to us then I heard them howl our wolves signaling that someone was arriving then I smelt her sweet vanilla mixed with a little bit of honey scent. I couldn't get enough of her. She was breathtaking.

Their vehicle approaches the Packhouse. "She's here." Onyx howled.

"I know she is. Hopefully, she'll like it here." I smiled softly.

Alec got out of the driver's side then Nicole got out of the passenger side. "Hello, Mark and Luke," Alec spoke up.

"Welcome, how was the drive here?" My father asked.

"Wasn't too bad." Alec chuckled softly.

"Good deal. Are we ready to bring in Sofia things?" Dad asked.

"Sofia you can come out now." Alec motioned her to get out of the vehicle.

I studied her as she made her way out of the back seat. She had dark circles under her eyes like she hasn't slept in a week. I made a mental note to check on that.

"Hello, Beautiful." I walked up to her.

She tensed a little bit as I walked up to her and she responded a simple, "Hey."

"Axel, do you mind helping Luke take in Sofia's suitcases and boxes please?" Alec asked the bodyguard.

"Of course not Alpha, it will be a pleasure." Axel slightly bowed.

I went to the back of the SUV and started to pull out her suitcases. I noticed she didn't pack a lot, but that doesn't mean we cannot help her replace the items she is needing.

"Follow me, I'll show you to the bedroom." I smiled softly at Axel.

"Lead the way Alpha." He spoke.

"No need for formalities, Axel." I chuckled.

"What do I call you then?" He asked.

"Luke is just fine," I spoke.

"Alright, Luke lead the way." He chuckled.

We finished unloading the SUV in about 10 minutes or so and left everything in her bedroom. She was located on the second floor where I am at. The first level is for the pack's guards and the second floor resides the Alpha and mates and guests.

"Alec it is always a pleasure to see you." My father smiled and shook his hand.

"Likewise Alpha," Alec responded and shook his hand back.

"Nicole take care." My dad spoke.

"Luke take care of my daughter." Alec smiled and hugged Sofia goodbye. "I'll see you around baby girl. I love you." Alec said with tears in his eyes.

"And I love you, Sofia spoke softly. "Take care pa."

"Would you like to check out the lands?" I asked Sofia as her parents drove off.

"I would like to take a nap please." She spoke softly.

"Alright, that's fine babe. Follow me." I smiled and took her hand and led the way into the packhouse.

She smiled softly as she laced her hands into mine and walked beside me. "Our floor is on the 2nd floor." I smiled and walked up the stairs.

"Thank you." She said quietly.

"This is your room." I pointed to the left side of the hallway. "My room is straight across from yours." I smiled at Sofia.

"Thank you again, Luke. I appreciate it. I shall see you later." She half smiled and let go of my hand and walked into her bedroom and shut the door.
