The Portal Catastrophe

"Excuse me?" Wiley crossed her arms.

Sage thought carefully about how to explain herself. She couldn't expose that she was overthrowing Luke. Not yet. "Someone in Hell told me there's this destiny that involves people with powers."

Wiley pursed her lips, her foot tapping quickly. "Luke hasn't said anything about it."

"Really?" Sage exclaimed. "You believe Luke but not me?" What had Luke said to her that made Wiley so trusting?

"It's not like that."

Sage fought the urge to role her eyes. "Look, I'll bring you to hell myself. We'll talk to Danny. He knows all about this stuff. He can swear on the River strike or whatever it's called." She left out the part where they'd have to look for him first.

Wiley hesitated. "Let's just ask Luke when he gets here."

"Wiley, it's urgent." Sage begged. "We'll be back before he shows up." This might not be true depending on how hard it was to find someone down there and when Luke was coming, but by the time they talked to Danny maybe Wiley wouldn't love Luke so much.

Wiley shrugged. "Well, I have always wanted to go to hell.

Sage couldn't see why anyone would have always wanted to go to hell, but at least this odd aspiritation would get Wiley to go along with her plan.

The only problem was that she didn't know how to get Wiley down to hell. And she needed to figure out how to quick. Maybe if she could open a portal in her dreams, she also could while she was awake like Luke. This was her only chance of getting Wiley into hell, so she figured it was worth a shot.

She closed her eyes and visualized a portal opening, but it proved to be super hard and used a lot of mental strain. After a few seconds of this it was only an inch wide in her mind. She fought on longer, beginning to sweat, and when Wiley screamed she knew it was working.

When she peaked at the floor the portal was only a foot wide at this point. She had a long way to go, but she used Kale as her motivation. Worst case scenario of her going to Hell would be that Danny tells her who the real ward is if Wiley wasn't it, she figured. Sage began to grunt from the effort when it was almost all the way open, and when it set in place with a click she fell back on the bed. She was exhausted.
