Falling for my enemy

Hailey: I wondered what could have been so important. I went in my room and changed quickly into my pj's. while I was on my way to meet pops. I saw Shane sitting all alone on the steps, he was lost in his thoughts. I went to him and placed my gun on his head and said in a different tone "don't move or scream if your life is important to you."


Shane: "common little girl! You will need more than this to scare me."


Hailey: "hey! I am not a little girl. If you have forgotten, I can remind you of who I am." I winked at him.


Shane: "I am not scared of you hail no matter what, you will always be a little girl for me. Now why are you here troubling me. Don't you have any work to do?"


Hailey: "oh fuck! I had to see pops in 10 mins and I am half an hour late. He surely will kill me today… I have to run! Byeee Shaney."


Hailey: "Ya whatever" oh god I am so worried pops would be so pissed with me. As I entered in pops room. I saw him sitting on his favorite chair having a bunch of files in front of him and he was talking with someone on the call. He looked serious I wonder what is all this about.


Hailey's dad: "can you ever be on time?"


Hailey: "I am sorry pops. I met Shane on my way here so it took some time. I am so sorry."


Hailey's dad: "it's ok, have a seat here."


Hailey: I sat on the chair next to him and asked "you look all worried pops is everything alright?"


Hailey's dad: "you know that the lions are our rivals from long time. And they were quiet as well as underground for more than 5 years. And we heard nothing from them."


Hailey: "yes I know very well pops. But they haven't done anything yet nor have been seen here then why are you so worried about it? What is bothering you?"


Hailey's dad: "they are back in town. And we will have to meet them at the charity ball arranged by the mayor tomorrow.  And as you are the heir now you will have to be in charge and meet them. You will also have to meet their heir, no one has seen him before, his identity was hidden just like we hided yours."


Hailey: "can't we meet them somewhere else? You know how much I hate these balls!"


Hailey's dad: "it's not the time for your drama here, love! I want you to be careful around them tomorrow. And better be ready early because we have to reach at 8 sharps. I will also be there with your mother. You also bring someone with you."


Hailey's dad: "nope, I am not giving you my credit card this time. Your mom will kill me. Last time you almost brought whole store home."


Hailey: I know how my puppy eye would work now, it will be a yes in 3…2… and


Hailey's dad: "ok stop making those puppy eyes. Take my card but don't tell your mother. You are going to be the death of me one day."


Hailey: "I knew my puppy eyes magic would never fail" we both chuckled at this and did some chit chatting for a while. And then I went to trouble my favorite person in the world.
