La-la-land

It was like music to her ears as she gave a tight lipped smile turning to the heads of both kingdoms, " Well excuse me, Mother. Father. Your Majesties." Brianna said in a courteous tone as she turned around pausing kicking her leg out meeting Ethan's face as he collided against the floor. The thud of his body against brought a grin to her face as she walked away with her high and shoulders poised. Her ladies followed.

Seeing her walk away all he could linger on was how her eyes glowed. Michael had never seen such a thing. He, of course had seen vampire eyes illuminate when unleashing their power. But never had he see a vampire possess two different colors. As if she were a heathen. Her word alone made everyone prostrate. Just what exactly was she?

" What the fuck just happened?" Lenore spoke up suddenly taking him out of his thoughts.

" That the hell, I would like to know. Did she just touch me?" Aurora followed with a wrinkled nose, like the Princess had committed a crime as Eli appeared next to them.

" Two answer both of your questions, its seems the Princess cousin, Prince Ethan just wanted a match with Michael. However her highness ended up interfere. After a couple blows and destroying the palace. The Prince sent her flying, following he was going to leap on Michael as Aurora prepared a feisty comeback as the Princess flashed over flipping Aurora over her shoulder as she grabbed the sword slashing her- his comrades and focusing him to submit in the end." Eli calmly summarized everything that had just happened.

The two girls blinked at him, thinking how the world his brain just capture everything little detail that unfold in front of them, " Weirdo, how did you figure all that out?" The girls simultaneous talked as Eli crossed his arms.

" Because, I was paying attention." He sighed as he trailed off. " I swear you royals...."

Michael listening but focusing at the group of people laying in front of them, stuck in their position unable or incapable of moving. Then King Zane shamefully stood from his throne with Queen Lucia by his side, " The festivities has ended and will continue tomorrow." He directly ended the celebration as he walked forward standing right in front of the disgraced man. " Ethan, come to my chancery immediately." He said in a low deathly voice, his eyes glimmered slightly in the similar way of the Princess. " The rest of you,go!"

Turning away as the others breathed, moving. Finally released as Ethan was the first to stand and walk in the same direction. Feeling a tug on his jacket he looked down at his baby sister. " Come on, let's go before things get worse." She cautioned as she looped her arm in his as he turned once more to see the fallen.

Opening the door to her room as Adelaide and Eliza followed in, not waiting a moments notice to grab and examine her physique. Lifting her arms, moving her head side to side, " Are you alright?" They both question continuing their search as some of her wounds closed, however others didn't.

" I'm not dead, right?" Brianna replied lightly as Eliza slapped her arm.

" Not funny." She said angrily yet caring.Brianna rubbing another wound.

" I agree,Bri. You took some serious damage." Adelaide began as she began unwrapping the fabric attached to the gashes. Debating whether to cut or salvage the expensive dress. " I don't know Ethan would do something so reckless. It em brasses our kind."

" I don't know if it's his hatred or he just loves to go against anything I said...." Brianna paused reflecting on what she had just done. She had no regrets, yet it would give her people another reason to dislike her. She had just defend a wolf, and hurt one of her own. But the person was her mate, the other a family member. As if her heart already choose, but her mind wouldn't allow it. Supreme creator, help her.

Adelaide sighed as she scratched her head while Eliza tended with cotton and water to her wounds."All I know is now we look like idiots in front of the wolves." Adelaide worried.

Eliza patting the soft fluffy cotton against her damaged skin as she clicked her tongue, " That's the least of our problems. At least the Prince or any wolves were not harmed so another war avoided. We just need to get Bri healed up. You're wounds aren't closing." She focused the important.

Brianna shrugged her shoulders, rubbing her forehead, a pulsating beat in her head emanating. The same annoying yet repetitive sensation from before. Her sight blurred as she squinted attempting to reach out her hand missing the desk stumbling off.

" Bri!" The yelped as she held out her hand. She understood there concern however she did not like look, being perceived as weak. Always something she hated. Making her way over to her bed as she carefully lay down. The bones in her bed found heaven as it supported her healing bones.

" Let me just rest. Wake me up, tomorrow..." She yawned as her heavy eyes over came her vision before hearing another respond. At first there was nothing but darkness, but in a few minutes, a few hours, however long the blank sky became a marvelous violet cotton candy pink.Clouds emerged in the beauty of the starry diamonds in the night. The silver crescent celestial body stood huge against the mystery place- almost like a really la-la- land. Her eyes wondering around at the endless field with flowers and roses more like meadow, down to herself as she was not wearing the dress she had end up sleeping in but a white short, short sleeve dressed that flowed freely as she skipping in the grass until her hearts content. Admiring the beauty as she spun around as a wooden bench appeared. " A little weird, but it is a dream after all." Brianna noticed as she nevertheless sat on the seat. Closing her eyes embracing the homely aroma. Somewhere in between heaven and her mates' scent. " That seems familiar."

A manly chuckled appeared as she attempted to swift her body but couldn't, " Took you long enough to notice." Michael grinned, awaiting for her. Sitting on a bench connected to her as their backs were to one another. Along he wasn't sure if this was a dream or a meeting between them. The scent of her a rose, so he knew she would come soon.

" I'm sorry. I don't have the same sense of smell as you." Brianna joked as she bit her lip.

"Ouch."Michael began while wrinkling his nose." Low blow, my love."

A silly smile crawled on her face as she held onto the bench digging her palms onto the bench, swaying her feet back and forth, wanting to speak more but a lump in her throat held. What could she say? Anything would give her away.

The pending silence killing him. Wanting to speak more. Know more. Hear her honey voice. "Are you going to tell me who you are?" He asked.

" Why don't you tell me?" Brianna played off as she sighed. " You already know who I am, don't you. Or do you not."

Michael wondered, he believed that his mate was the Princess. The Princess of the enemy, but he had to confirm it. Not just with sentiments, but with words. If she was, that was the truth and if she wasn't he would have to admit to himself he was attracted to her. Even if it would kill his wolf pride, at least he wouldn't have to be condemned. " No. No. I don't." He lied.

" Liar." Brianna called out his bullshit. He knew exact. He must have. Right? Right? Or was she the only one who really knew their secret?

" How did you know I'm lying?" Michael questioned although being truth, he was still curious.

Brianna shook her head. How did she know? It was not due to her vampiric nature or her witch nature just that she did. " Because you're my mate. I just know." She explained loosely.

" You're mate." Michael repeated as those sweet words lingered on his lips.

" Of course, you're mine. Regardless what the redhead thinks." She assured.

Redhead. Redhead. The words so familiar. He was sure, he had heard of them before. Then the memory of him holding her in his arms as they danced, " Yes, the redhead that clings to you like a child." Brianna's words echoed in his mind. Those words belonged to her and only her. It had confirmed any suspicion of his. " I wish I could meet you in person. I wish I could hold you in my arms without any strife." He confessed wholeheartedly as her cheeks reddened.

All she wanted nothing more, dreamed of nothing more. It will be nothing more than a dream. " Honestly, I think its better that we meet like this..." Brianna paused looking for the right words.. "Meeting in a lover's dream."

Michael shook his head fully disagreeing. Although he wasn't sure what he felt, he knew he loved been by her side. If he didn't know nothing. He knew that. " Please, don't say that." He said as he fiddled with his hands.

His voice so tender. He felt the same way, she did. But sentiments couldn't change reality. It couldn't change people. It would be as it always was. " I'm sorry, but I think it's true. It's the best way so no more people get hurt." She attempted to be rational.

His heart dropped. What? No. This couldn't be. They had already met, why couldn't they get along out there as they did in here but before he could say anything,"I think its for the better... Bye, Michael." Brianna repeated walking off as Michael with all his strength wanted to hold her back. Wanting to put her in his arms.

" Don't go, Brianna." He whispered finally being able to turning around to nothingness.
