The goddess blushes "w-what do you mean!?" "Well Athena has a few objects, but at least you got the spear right but what about her other most loved item?" The goddess recounts all the material she based her look on and realizes her mistake. There is no helmet, not on her head nor on the tale or even in the room. Realizing her mistake the goddess turns even more red from embarrassment. "Ah it seems you found your giveaway" the soldier starts laughing heartily and the goddess averts her gaze in embarrassment. "Well it's fine as a scholar there was always the lingering doubt that god's might not exist so at least you beat that notion." After a while the two calm down enough to continue the conversation. "Do you really believe that the city will fall so soon?" The goddess asks. "Yes I know first hand that in 5 days time the city will burn to the ground." The goddess regains her stern expression and raises one eyebrow. After thinking about it for a second she then smirks and asks "want to make a bet? The afterlife is not a terrible place but it is boring beyond belief and a problem is sooner or later going to occur where I will need a liaison to fix it. If you are right and the city falls within the next 5 days then I will grant you work instead of permanent death. And if the city isn't destroyed then I will put you on your way to the afterlife. Interested?" The soldier was now shocked from all the information and sat in silence with a blank expression trying to comprehend everything. After a few moments of hesitation he realized that it was a win-win scenario so he had nothing to lose. "Deal". As the two shook hands a paper appeared on the desk between them. "This is the start of a contract" the goddess explained "As you can see the top part of it is what we currently have agreed upon. As for the rest will be filled in if you are correct." The soldier gazed over the writing and understood that the goddess was not lying, as his eyes went lower he saw a line with a stylus next to it and understood to write his name. "A formality" the goddess commented. After a moment of hesitation the soldier wrote his name and passed the paper forward. "Well then" the god's eyes glanced at the name written down "let's see if you are lucky Marion".
